i need help, I press after i press space on the buttons it lets me play for 1 second and puts me back into the menu pls help
I have this bug that when i press spacebar to go into evade mode, i cant move. I put it into the evade section and tried using forever loops but nothing.
@futures lab my buttons work but when i end the evade mode it stays in the evade mode is there any tips on that
When I made the menu , the stars didn’t turn but they get bigger , spears are falling , long attack isn’t looks like a wall , it likes a arrow is coming down and scatter is looking right and left , not looking down or up . Can some one tell me what is wrong ?
I have this issue where the heart won't move after the evade mode finishes and i get stuck in the box
i have a problem where if i change the mode to Evade it almost instantly changes back to the menu.
i have checked for any set menu blocks but nothing worked
question: Why did you make the menu sprite become hidden in evade mode when it never hides in the og game?

Everything works fine when I start the game and move the heart to a button, it turn yellow,but when I move yo the next button the previous one stays yellow and doesn't turn back orange:(

Before i knew about you i had never used a single make a block ever
*now i use it every 2-3 seconds*
for some reason when i tried to put the yellow sprites in when i have the extra switch costume to index+ 5 and then other one with plus 1 kt doesnt work and just turned them all into unlit mercy buttons please help

Never mind. I just made it so it waits until Evade happens.
I followed the exact menu steps and upon testing, the heart didn't move and couldn't move
How do i figure out how many pixels are in between my menu buttons???
In the menu buttona go to the "repeat by 4"
The number in change x by is the pixels between buttons

The mercy button don’t work. Whenever I put Repeat 4 create clone of myself change x by 120 next costume but whenever I click it it doesn’t spawn a 4th button-

for some reason, when i code the menu for all the actions, it doesnt move the number up or down, the only thing that works on my game is the scatter code, is there any way i can fix this?
Hmmm, that's strange. Did you make sure you used the "less than" and "more than" symbols ("") in the right directions? If you did, I can have a look at your scratch project if you like? Let me know your scratch name and make sure it's shared and I'll look it up.

Bro my game broke and i can't see the menu buttons the box took over them i tried to use the show code it didnt work, I tried to make the box small at the bottom by just using the arrow keys to raise it up, that didn't work instead it just made the bones apear at the bottom. I can't do it im so dumb

@@funny-animations Make sure you've got exactly 8 costumes and they are in the same order I have them in. Does that fix it?
Hey I have been following your tutorial series and everything has worked right, but when I got to the part where you make the buttons change costumes for some reason they stay yellow even after you deselect them. I have checked and my code looks the same as yours do you know how I could try to fix it? Edit: btw I noticed that it says at all times that the index is 4 instead of zero but I don't know what causes it.

um....... the selecting didn't work
When I move across the menu buttons it works perfectly but the soul stays on the already selected button for a split second and then moves, the button I moved to is also already Yellow even tho the soul isn't on it. Any fixes? It's pretty annoying even for a split second
Look in your Heart sprite.
Look for "Define Menu."
You should have a section for "If left arrow pressed" and a section for "If right arrow pressed"
Inside those you should have "If Menu Button Selected..." and inside those you should have 3 lines:
Change Menu Button Selected...
Set x to...
Wait 0.1 seconds
Is it in that order for you?

So something happens every time i run the project. All my buttons turn into mercy and turn into mercy selected when I'm on the 4th button. does anyone know how to help me please!

@@yayimalive2275 Check your "Index" variable. When you made it you needed to select "for this sprite only". Try remaking the variable and replacing it in the code and this time make sure you select "for this sprite only" when you make it.

Hey, the buttons keep glitching out. All of the buttons turn into the Mercy button and when the last button is selected, all of them turn yellow. How do I fix this?
I immediately realize that I missed the "This Sprite Only" part of Index.

When you made the Index variable, did you select "for this sprite only"? If you did, tick your Index variable to make it visible and it should display as "Mercy: Index"

@@7nulBM so look in "define Menu" in your heart sprite. At the bottom should be:
If space key pressed
set mode to evade

if mode = evade
Evade
if mode = menu
Menu
Make sure they are on top of each other, not inside each other.

Tip: if your heart is lagging behind the boxes switching your options, try setting the “Change Menu Button Selected” block before the “Set
X” block on the Define Menu Script
I still don't know why you didn't use 1234. Seems harder to use 0123.
I did consider it, but using 0123 makes setting the X coordinate for the heart easier when setting up where the heart goes on the menu buttons :)

Did you click "for this sprite only" when you made the Index variable? If you can't remember, click the tickbox to make your index variable visible and it should show as "Menu: Index"

same with what im doing, im doing a spamton fight, but all the code i input other than 1 fight attack works, all the other code doesnt do annything, which makes no sense.
