Hi Lee @carukchannel I've got a astra coupe 56 plate sri 1.8 12 months ticket one brand new tyre one key logbook bodywork has a few marks but I want it gone as we've just purchased a new car.
The astra drives great starts first flick of the key!
Give me a reply I'll even drive it to you and send you photos and videos over..
£700 bargain!!!!! Easily worth 1495 maybe more when a bit of touching up is done
I like seeing under the cars, don't often see on car sales videos and it's nice to be informed about what to look out for
The gate man is a total star...he needs a CZcams channel of his own😊
He is hilarious, has a miserable mood about him but is very funny with it. Need to get more content with him
“it’s a bright thing”. I am taking that one. It’s an ear-worm quote. Freshening cars up properly, genuinely and selling to owners who want cheap, reliable motoring who live in the real world, have pride, and will hopefully look after them. These kind of cars ain’t coming back again anytime soon folks👍🙂
@@carukchannel Take him out for a coffee I'm sure he has some great stories.
@carukchannel does he know you film him😂
@@markfoden765 Yes, we need more of the gateman on the channel 👍👍😁😁

Nice to see a honest guy showing how it works . Buying selling
Wow liked the content of this video need more like this enjoyed it .
Had a 60 plate ka for 5 yrs only thing it required was 2 new front tyres nice car nice drive and a lot cheaper than a fiat 500
Always learn something from your videos ta
your channel is just what i like its straight up some channels want to add bells and whistles like adding music drone shots and drama
I used to have a similar business to you and I really enjoy your videos. Those Ka/Fiat 500 are good sellers but suffer with gearbox issues and rear axle problems as you state. Keep up the good work!
The Aygo and Spark are absolute bargains 👍🏾
Even after the repairs you are still in for a good lick. Good buying lee 👍
Your dealer skills really come over in the video. It’s all in the detail sizing up your buys and preparing them for sale. Not many principles still do their own checks these days.
Thanks john
great video Li. this is the type of video I always look forward to, where you go through the whole process with one car.
Great to see some of the cheaper motors available with some of the problems you find. I quite like the Chevy spark always thought it was 3 cylinder, I remember the press launch it looked so futuristic I thought & still looks good - Id love to watch more similar videos✴✴✴✴✴
That Chevy was a good buy Lee, carry on like that and you will be sat on a beach in no time. Cheers K.
I wish you and the Gate Man would get a room, all that bickering like a Married Couple 😂
🤣
Please do more auction collection and on ramp vids.
Will do
You need to be dropping that gateman some hob knobs keep him sweet Off camera obviously
🤣👍
Nice to see a 1.0 4 cyl engine ! (Spark)- with most 1 litre cars opting for a 3...
I like its arrangement underneath also... straightforward and simple.
Great to hear you get a real bargain, makes up for the odd one over book. You videos are awesome and informative too.
You know what to buy it's interesting what cars sell like you say bread and butter cars😊
Well done. Keep up the good work.
Love these videos, please keep 'em coming! Many thanks for your effort in making these.
This channel just keeps getting better 👏 keep it up mate !
Thanks, will do!
Holy smokes! That Chevy Spark looks like an absolute steal! Under £1k? No way! Great job turning a rough diamond into a presentable car. Those painted wheels look surprisingly good too. Here's hoping it sells quickly!
Great channel Lee, I always look forward to your up dates on your wheeling and dealing mate 👍
I love that you sell bread & butter cheapy cars!
This is where it's at for most of us. People who just want simple, honest to goodness transport, that offers good value for money, and they don't care two hoots what others think of their car. You don't need to prostitute yourself to a finance company. Lee sells decent, well prepared cars that won't break the bank, and with a bit of basic maintenance, will keep you on the road for years. Down to earth motoring at its best. This, is how it's done. Lee is a beacon of value and common sense.
Your dryness has me in stitches dead ferret i miss most of that Chevy laughing keep them coming Lee
Some nice buys there Lee , as you said common issue with the Ka but you got it for a fair price , good luck with selling them 👍
Thanks for watching again ian 👍
Some great purchases, 👍 and you're honest giving the buyers confidence.
Cracking episode thanks
Love your channel and videos lee keep them coming 👌
One of the best channels on you tube fascinating insight into the car trade and the graft and risks involved deserve every penny of profit 🙏
Thanks 365👍👍
Great video Lee, you got some great bargains
Thanks paul 👍
I spat my coffee out when you said Dead ferret on back seat of chevy😅
Looking all good from this end, regards, Bill.
Another enjoyable video, love em, keep them coming.🙂👍
I think the Dead Ferret trim was an option on the higher spec model.........!!
I thought so to pete 😄👍
Chevy Spark great little tough car, I prefer an i10.Had Hyundai only for 24 years - reliable and mine didn't rot!
Lovely little runner.
The wheels on the Chevrolet look great !
I like those wee Sparks, funky styling! The Aveo I had was like a slightly scaled up version.
Great video and content, 3 decent cars you got there. I love the gate man he comes across as a funny person.
Thanks for covering the Ka back axle as my Panda may need one this year and so long as it doesn't fail on much else, shouldn't as it's well looked after I'll go ahead with the job as now I have an idea what it'll cost me. That Spark is a cracking little thing although I hate not having a spare wheel but I'd just go buy one for it.
Think people like the Aygo as tend to be higher spec than c1 and 107 ac is standard I believe .😊
3 good buys Lee👍🏻
Some good deals there Lee ,really impressed with the Chevy Spark how clean it was underneath definitely some good profits in those buys
Another great update, love the cars and the problem solving.
Thanks 👍
P.S. the addition of links to suppliers for spares for coming faults is excellent idea.
Glad to see you tòok the dead ferrets off the seat belts Lee 😂
It's like Christmas for me when yr videos come up Lee,really love yr presentation and knowledgeable content.i have a friend and we intend to visit Aston Barkley on a jolly boys outing,my friend is looking for another car, can't wait ATB Mike.
Another great installment. Got my daughter a 63 plate cat car last year. Good little thing. Like these these honest videos 👍
Thanks Mark
Its all part of your auction visit the battle with the gate man, always worth looking at,
Very enjoyable video lee,all great little buys, great job on the chevvy wheels and better than trims and should do well hopefully, shame on the ka rear axle but youll sort it out and still make a profit so all good🙂👍
Thanks mark, yes will order an axle up tomorrow 👍😁
Yep a couple of good cars bought there 😉 still waiting on the video on that blue c max would love to see the underside/subframe / sills .
Cars look like good buys.
Great video nice buys
Thanks simon 👍
Nice one Lee some right good buys there that old boy on the gate reminds me of Blakey from on the buses I have you Butler 🤣🤣have a top week Lee 🙂🔧🎥✌️
I think you did really well with these ones. Youll move them on quick and make a few bob on the way. Like seeing an update on the cars you win at auction. Cheers
Great video mate
Thanks 👍
love the channel
Ausome !
You let the boys down there Lee when you fired the spark "never In doubt"
You played a blinder on the little Chevy there Lee.
I bought a Chevrolet Spark about 2 years ago, from a auction. Sold it on to Motorway for a nice little profit. Hope you do well on them.
hi lee i have baught my son a mazda 2 the front subframe is a little bit crusty what product do you recccomend after brushing off the rust i am going to do the rear axle while im there. great video again love the cheepies
What product do you use to underseal your cars? 🚙
Could you do a video showing how you apply it ☑️
We use a few products, I am wanting to try some lanarguard as I keep hearing great things about it
yh those wheels look alright bud
A private buyer wouldn't want to see that KA problem. I used to always look under a car before looking under the bonnet. But of course this was years ago when cars of 10 years old were rotters . You have a good set-up there to sort stuff out and still make a profit. Keep it up and very interesting.
The Panda 100HP also suffers from the spring cups rotting. Problem is, the axle is close to a grand before VAT, and they are exclusive to that model! And only Fiat make them
Love your videos!
Just a quick question. I hear you say a lot "book price"
What do you use for book price apart from auto trader?
Thanks!
Have you got any dead ferret seat belt covers kicking about definitely put the car prices up Lee
Only mink left now sorry 🤣
Reasonably priced small 5 door car that Chrysler mate!! cheap motoring!
Some cracking stock there which will fly out the door .
Didn't you used to ride a fold down E bike ? 😀
Try selling the KA with those black wheel trims and if a customer objects then you can always fit original trims..
That could save you £100 or whatever 4 original wheel trims cost if they are happy with the black ones .....
An Aygo has toyotas quality control the C1 and Peugot dont, simple.
They are built in the same factory, apart from bumpers/lights/badges they're identical!
Land sails are a very good tyres last forever and no surface noise
Until you have to wet brake lol
I just check in to make sure you havent forgot the breakfast voucher mate.
Chevrolet Spark is a good little car , I know someone in Russia despite all the political things we are still friends and he has had his Spark for a few years now and it always starts first time and the part of Russia he lives in is very cold , Im talking average of minus 15c everyday and the little Spark gets him to College and back and around the city no problem.
The chevy looks good for 4 or 5 years, cheap tax, fuel, and looks tidy in black.
Gateman on your case Lee with all these cars to be collected! 🤣
Always, runs a tight ship does the gateman
At 7:55 you said the Spark had a "little 3 cylinder thing"- slight error there, as these have a 4 cylinder 16V engine. You can see at 9:22 that the engine cover says S-Tec II 16V, so it must be a 4 cylinder. The later Vauxhall Viva from 2015 onwards (which is basically the same car) had the 3 cylinder engine, but the Spark used a 4 cylinder S-Tec II engine itself a devolopment of the S-Tec produced between Suzuki and Daewoo for the original Matiz.
Glad that engine not a Vauxhall. No wonder they’re reliable.
Those hideous furry seat belt covers tell me everything I need to know; Owned by an old dear, who drove it to Aldi once a week at max rpm in third, and changed gear without the clutch. Used the bumpers to park, constantly curbed the wheels, and had the oil changed by Kevin from nextdoor every 4 years, whether it needed it or not. The car was last washed in 2017, it was always full of dogs and grandchildren, the radio is tuned to pick up The Archers, the heater is jammed on full, and the glovebox was filled with Worther's Originals and spare hearing aid batteries. Book pack and service history was lost years ago, along with the parcel shelf, the MOT expired in 2021, and there's several unpaid parking tickets on DVLA's system. Just as well these Chevy Sparks are nigh on indestructible. It will probably outlast all of us.
9:02 100 grand 😳.... Most expensive chevrolet in the world! 😜 Just kidding. Nice haul of cars mate
🤣Shorts...Boots and yellow socks THE FASHION KING IS OUT.
always ready for the job mancave 👍
What's the update with the new lad? I really hope he wants to learn from you Lee. And your mechanic 👍🏼
Electric blanket on max…….your wandering about oop north in shorts……shocking😳
Lee why don't you purchase a Brian James Auto sports trailer with a DooR ON The Back
Trailer with a door, to posh for me that bud 😁👍
they'll all be good buys for the right person, too small for my needs, but hey ho😊
When the caption said two hours later I thought you'd broke down.😎
🤣👍
A friend of the family, who had a big new car franchise, told my parents that they always sent the dud trade-ins with expensive to repair problems or a bad history to the auctions. How do you protect yourself from buying such duds from the auction? The price might be low but what more needs to be spent?
I am a bit late on this one. The Ford Ka, would the axil get a hole in it in under a year since the last MOT, that wouldn't' get put down on advisories would it. ?
Some testers would advised at previous test, ( I would anyhow) but I doubt it would of been holed last year. The pressure of the spring on the cup eventually at some point will push the soft corroding metal out and make a whole. There is nothing untoward gone on here, its just aged and eventually its going to give way
17:27 175k most expensive hatch back from America ever 😂😂😂 I'm being a prick now I now. You know Lee I'm a wind up merchant been a follower from the start 😅
You done well out of the 3 shown thats not bad.As you say not ideal but a rear sub frame not major when you have your own inhouse team
Pity your not down Colchester way I would use you when I need a new car
Branded Landsail tyres made me laugh, horrid ditch finders lol
landsails have beaten continental and other big brands in independent testing for years, it’s just a fact 🤷🏼♂️
@@carukchannel seriously that hilarious.
They are absolute muck, and I sell tyres for a living.
The price difference in the Aygo trio is purely about badge snobbery. Sparks are good - when GM took Chevrolet off the UK market they realised what they were missing out on so imported the new Spark and names it a Viva. Massive mistake as most buyers would associate the name with their granddads car - think they were aiming ate the Mini/Beetle/500 revival market and missed by a mile. I am biased as we have had 2 Matiz's - the first on the Mrs did 80k miles in and her current one is nearly at 25k miles. Very cheap motoring.
👌👌👌👌
👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
A lot hate for Chevvy Spark, trust me everyone, they make a fine albeit cheap ish feeling first car. They drive well and don't have the faults of the Corsa. They're better than a Corsa just dont look as premium or feel it in materials. Made for emerging markets sold here, UK, cheap. Nothing not to like
