    You are the BEST teacher! Do you teach any absolute amateurs? Like people who have not been singing long? I feel like a lot of the people on your private lessons are already so seasoned lol

      For sure! I do teach beginners - but for private lessons I do require that students first go through one or two of my online courses, to establish the basic foundations of technique!

      That makes sense! I’m thinking about signing up but I was wondering if it would waste your time! I’m pretty sure I’m gonna sign up for the new year. I’m a great student :-)

      @@ElleDanielle77 would love to have you in the Worship Vocalist community! I encourage you to go through my "Discover Your Voice" (I recommend taking 6 weeks to go through it) and then see how you feel!

    I have a strong head voice and I struggle anyway... All the nay things close my throat... It is frustrating 😭

      For some people, the NAY's don't work as well-so try a WAH (crying baby sound) or a MEOW (angry cat sound) and see if those work instead. And if you haven't been through my "Discover Your Voice" course yet, I would recommend that you go through that and submit a Checkpoint (so I can check on your vocal exercises and give you feedback).

    What do I do if I can't stop the vibrato on the high notes -- I have a few years of classical vocal training.

      I would recommend checking out my courses and training videos at www.theworshipvocalist.com - I have training specifically for developing a contemporary vibrato!

    I saw many videos and I wonder if you may naturally have this twangy sound which allows you to do nay nay or crying sound. But if it is not natural I feel it makes struggle more to do those exercices... What do you think about glottal stop exercises to improve vocal folds strength? Thank you for all you do :)

    • @worshipvocalist
      @worshipvocalist  Před 3 lety +2

      Yes, glottal stop exercises are good for building the voice to a certain extent, but they can tire out the voice, and even damage it if they are done incorrectly. Pharyngeal exercises are very important to contemporary mix voice training, and are very healthy! Pharyngeal didn't always come naturally to me, I had to learn how to do them effectively!
