I found my first Pearlescent by killing a Maruder right outside of Liar's Berg. I thought it was a white, and I'm sure it would've been better if it were, because it was the Bearcat.
All of the guns would be slightly decent with like a 500% damage buff. Unforgiven needs the fire rate cap removed and a Lady Fist type crit modifier added, Storm needs to have the initial explosion do item card damage instead of just the orbs apply it over time divided by the number of orbs, and the Bearcat could use MIRV grenades. If it's super rare, it should be super OP.
Power is what will ultimately define if a gun is good. I think the Herlad and the Bee shield are decent designs but nothing to write home about. The only reason people love those items to the extent which they do now is the outrageously high numbers. lower the numbers and people will instantly disregard them or even hate to loot them.
I feel like i'm super lucky and super unlucky at the same time: So a few days ago i was just started UVHM, i got to frostburn canyon and saw a Tubby. I knew that tubbies usually dropped legendaries so i was like, 'i wonder what i'll get?' I killed it... A Bunny... Wait it gets worse, about 5 minutes later i saw ANOTHER tubby and i was like 'hmm, what will i get this time?'... A W.T.F... Sad life...
In Borderlands 1 all the Legendary/Pearl gun are treated like treasure (I keep then in my safe), but in Borderlands 2 25-50% are treated like garbage. True Story.
Pearl guns 7 out of twelve are good. Surprised how peaple say they suck. In bl1 there was also 12, 8 of them where good, and arguably 7, so they aren't much better😂

At least, the anarchy tree isnt. She does NOT have the health to be that in the fight. Have 400 stacks of anarchy and wiping out hordes of people doesnt help when they can sneeze on you and put you on the floor.
Herzi the pearls in borderlands don't really have a use, or are very powerful. They were just put there for a hard to get gun that people would want to spend time getting (and have a bragging right that you got a rare gun) and have something els to do. Also the pearls do or have some special things that other guns don't have.

It's a spiritual successor to the Orion from BL1. There it was very powerfull i remember. Great design awefull numbers. I think the Herald has the opposite problem.
Danny Colderwood playing as mordecai, combat rifles were a good fallback when my sniper ammo ran out in situations with multiple mobs..or when fighting bullet sponge bosses like sledge. what disappointed me was the lack of the "smasher" type revolvers in bl2..with the exception of Maggie. i found a smasher early on in my first bl1 playthrough and it served me well into the end of the core game. smasher + trespass skill obliterated the eridian guardians in a 1-2 shots
I know they seemed to let things slip from number one to two I mean don't get me wrong number two was awesome I just hope they bring back some good stuff from em all into one epic number three

It's pretty good for getting back on your feet in my experience. The norfleet though does the same but with like 10x more dmg. Game balance was never the strongest point of this game.

Having bad legendaries in the game is one thing, since they'll just drop form some enemy who you won't ever farm and that's that, they might as well not exist except in the cases where you get them from world drops or loot midgets. But having bad pearls, now that sucks because those drop all in one pool (or two, technically) and so having 5 of the pearls be so terrible that a random green or blue weapon beats them even if you're not speced for it is just cruel. It gets your hopes up and then BOOM, it's terrible.
Honestly once they came out with the pearl weapons i got over playing since there mostly all shit compared to some blue rarity weapons and legendary Wich really disappointed me like why make use go through a way harder mode to just get shit weapons like wtf 💀💀💀🤣
The Bearcat was my first pearl, and it dropped from the Warrior. I was so excited. I used it as much as I could, convincing myself it was good. Deep down, I knew it was awful, but I couldn’t admit to myself for weeks.

love the madhouse on gaige, 250 stacks of anarchy= negative accuracy anyways + the last half of magazine fire faster with the better half skill on a huge mag is awesome. (i dont really mess with little big trouble part of tree)
Ki11er Six a.k.a any sniper zer0 build but as I implied some people have different play styles like melee or 'The holy gunzerker' soooo yea basically sitting at the back of the map.
You'd have to sit very far back to get any damage output, and you have to go into a mob's designated area in order for it to spawn. That would mean that in order to use godfinger effectively as sniper zer0 you would have to run and spawn enemies on one side of the map, drive to the other and shoot at them for a while.
SnowCones actually I've gotten good use with the godfinger on maya. It's not the BEST sniper, but I personally enjoy it. The guns efficiency is just based on how you play and I understand why people say it's not as good as other snipers in the game
Play on community patch and use the logans gun how it was meant to be used! Shoot the floor around stalkers, skags, spiderants and all human type enemies that don't have the yellow armor health bar type thing. It's stupid strong in community patch. Try it, you won't regret it
First 2 pearls I ever got were pretty much one right after the other from random midgets in Thousand Cuts. One was the Tunguska, the other was the Unforgiven. I had no idea how good and how bad my luck was at the same time.

It can be good with axton and gaige they have killcomp that boost speed + this shield is huge so you just have to have your killcomp on most of the time And if you use the UCP the opportunity relic is good with it and it work in OP8
I personally love the Tunguska in the OP levels. Slag an enemy, then use the friendly fire glitch (drop a Tunguska/Storm/SWORDSPLOSION! right after shooting it and it'll do friendly fire damage) for the weapon to completely ignore damage resistance, but not slag. It is OP.
I like the Foxtrot for inside and cluttered areas, as long as you have somewhere to run. I had fun with it, but I guess if you're trying to play seriously on True or Ultimate, it shouldn't be on your radar lol
I got a Pearlescent Bearcat last night while gambling Eridium in Flamerock Refuge on the slot machines. I accidentally left it on the floor in the bar! lol. Thankfully I had watched a video the day before saying how rubbish it was.
I hope gearbox learns from these weapons in BL3. I get some weapons are just supposed to be neat, or fun to play around with, but having your weapons kill you is just ridiculous
Try this. Sal+bee shield+loaded hoarder class mod+1 slag Wanderlust and one Wanderlust of the element of your choosing. Stir up a group of enemies crouch behind cover gunzerk and just hold down the triggers until everything is dead. I can clear entire mobs/sections of a map using this technique.
There was a Hunter build in BL1 that worked great with an Unforgiven, 2-shot revolver. It was better with the maliwan legendary revolver, but it was still effective.
No bullshit K6, got three Tubby Enemies(not back to back, but in quick succession, all 3 withen a span of a few hours) and all 3, I shit you not man, all dropped the WTF shield. I quit playing for like a week lol
Ironically I got the bearcat at op5 and instantly saw how useless it was, though I also run with a 94% sham, so I ditched the logans gun for that since it looks cooler in my opinion, and makes for great crowd control when helping my lower leveled friends out

The storm was my very first pearl and I thought " oh it looks cool when you shoot someone so it must be good!" I used it for 20 lvls
The pearls would have been a lot more useful if the enemies didn't have such ridiculous health and health regeneration.
That's why I don't like UVHM. I can't outdamage regen that enemies have. You must use some bulllshit tactic to reliably kill them.

I don't mind the wanderlust on Gaige. If i remember right, each bounce they do off of walls can proc close enough, though I may be wrong.

Wanderlust is so much fun, I put that on, run a bee, and just fire a bunch of shots in an area and kills everything without having to aim!

I remember being happy when I first saw a storm sniper. It looked pretty awesome when fired. Is its damage really that terrible?

I had a logans gun drop off the dwarf and golem boss fight in dragon keep..saw the orange glow..got excited..tried to use it..was disappointed.
There was a Hunter build in BL1 that worked great with an Unforgiven, 2-shot revolver. It was better with the maliwan legendary revolver, but it was still effective.
No bullshit K6, got three Tubby Enemies(not back to back, but in quick succession, all 3 withen a span of a few hours) and all 3, I shit you not man, all dropped the WTF shield. I quit playing for like a week lol
Seems like I've gotten almost as many WTF world drops as I've had luck farming the lyuda
i just love it that he says wors pearls AND LEGENDARYS but there is only pearls on the list XD

Ironically I got the bearcat at op5 and instantly saw how useless it was, though I also run with a 94% sham, so I ditched the logans gun for that since it looks cooler in my opinion, and makes for great crowd control when helping my lower leveled friends out
Sad for the unforgiven since in bl1 it was a beast, especially with mordecai and fast hands.
I still don't understand how gearbox designed these weapons. Want a ultra rare weapon that is completely worse than common weapons? No? Too bad, you're getting it anyways.
