Oh CZcams…...any time i think i own all the art supplies, you show me something else that i will now be obsessed until i possess! These are just stunning, darn it 😂
That’s the live of a creative person 😉
This is so incredible. I have worked with Tyvek before with a heat gun but this method gives so much more control. Thank you so much for opening my eyes!!
Thanks and you’re very welcome
I have watched other channels demonstrate tyvek but I must say that I really love your pieces the most! You manipulate it more and I think your resulting pieces are soo beautiful! Also I like that you use them in fabric collage! Thank-you!
Thanks and you’re welcome
I just love all of them. Your colors look so good. Thank you for sharing your process. They look lovely on fabric too.
Thank you
Absolutely scrumptious! Going to enjoy playing with this . Thankyou so much .🎉
Thanks but remember to do it outside or wear a mask.
About ten years ago I made layered flowers of melted tyvek to use as an embellishment on my crochet bags and I had forgotten all about it. It must be somewhere in my studio and your video inspired me to use it again. It was so much fun to play with it! Thanks Lisbeth.
Sweet story and you’re welcome
That piece you ironed to demonstrate how it can completely disappear . . . it looked so light and lacy, like an angel’s wing. Beautiful.
Yes there wasn’t much left of the material after I had the ion on for so long.
This is so very interesting never seen this before😮.
🙏 remember to do it outside ore ware a mask if it is something you would try.
Great video, I learned something new! I played with Tyvec many years ago. I painted it just using acrylic paints so loved seeing you use different paints/pens. Since Tyvec house wrap is thicker than Tyvec mailing envelopes and the end results differ. I noticed that what you put on the Tyvec affected the outcome slightly too. I never flipped my Tyvec pieces over and ironed the other side. I LOVE the distressed look it created! I’m going to do that to some of mine I have done. Thank you for sharing! Appreciate you 😊
Thank you, yes it´s always nice to learn something new.
I have only just discoverd tyvek and haven't yet used it, but this looks so much fun! I am definitely going to get me some of that stuff and try to make beautiful things with it like you do. Thank you for sharing, it is very inspiring!
Thanks and you’re welcome
Thank you for a great tutorial! I learned something again from you ❤
You’re welcome
Trēs bonne idée,une belle ajout,merci!
Thanks and you’re welcome
Thanks for this wonderful tutorial! For some years now, i have kept a lot of tyvec wrapping material that came with something i ordered. I always thought it may come in handy one day…🍀💖😀
Everything can comes in handy, that’s why our houses is bursting 😉. Thanks Machteld.
@@lisbethdegn-dragenkunst hahaha that’s right! I’m so happy to be amongst other people like that on CZcams (we are not alone!)😀🍀💖
This is incredible! I can't wait to try!
Thanks and please be careful when you try.
Oh my, your results are beautiful! I always use a heat gun and heat tool with a small tip to re-melt edges that I'm not happy with (such as your cut edges). I think you have a bit more control using the iron and they are more flat (if wanted). I look forward to trying this your way and to the art you make using your pieces! Thank you.
You’re welcome
Glorious!
Thsnk you
✨💖✨ What a cool technique!
Thanks
Tyvek, the art supply I didn’t know I needed. Love this and can’t wait to try it. Thank you and I’m so glad I found your channel. Lauralee Sorensen Hart
👍 and welcome here
Beautiful 😁
🙏
I have never seen anything like this. Thank you for sharing.
You’re welcome
Your art is stunning, thank you for sharing your techniques.
Thanks and you’re welcome
Love this tutorial! Very cool idea to use these as little focal points in your collage!
Thank you
Thank you! Tyvek is perfect for your style, very organic and beautiful!😊
You’re welcome
Wonderful technique with such interesting results! Unpredictable for sure but SO interesting, love the random results!
Thanks that’s my favorite thing to, never to know the outcome
Fantastic! I cut up a tyvek suit but never used it. Your video was so inspiring. Thank you!
Thanks and you’re welcome
I had been wondering about that. Thank you so much for sharing it. I ship for a living and have a lot of tyvek envelopes....OHHH THIS IS GOING TO BE FUN!!! Thank you again!! Oh I also love that organic look the cutting before heating does.
You’re welcome but but please take care and do it outside or under an open window
Beautiful ! Thanks for the ample demos...very inspiring, love the lacy effects ❤ maybe even a gas mask if no windows.
Thanks and great idea with the mask 😉
Could you use the ironed shape as a pattern on the gelli plate? It could make for some interesting designs ☺️
You probably could, if you succeed with it please let me know.
You are a very good source of inspirations. I love your videos.
Can you tell me how many GSM is the Tyvek you use?
Thank you to take the time to answer this question.
Thank you. I am on a little vacation so I can’t check the weight right now and I can’t remember if it says on the packaging
Qué clase de material usas, me encanta el resultado, enhorabuena por tu canal!!!
See on 2:51 minute the details about Tyvek
The material is called Tyvek, like in the title.
@@dagmarvalentova3126 thanks
I use the thinner variety, colour it and stitch into it, then shrink it slowly with my heat gun until I am happy with it. It behaves more like fabric and I'm careful with the heat so as to not burn my stitches. It works well for bead making
Thanks for the info. I have only stitch on the Tyvec before I put the ion on, on my sewing machine.
Such amazing results! Do you think it would work with an embossing heat gun? Love the verdigris and copper one! I can see that turned into a pendant in resin!
Thank you, I don’t have such a tool so I don’t know, so you better try and tell me 😊
Thank you, I don’t have such a tool, so you better try it and tell me if works 😊
😲😲😲 👍🏻👏🏻🎨
🙏
Awesome! Please tell me how you have attached the Tyvek pieces to your fabric panels. Thank you.
Thank you, I have stitched them on, look at the video from day 57-63 and day 50-56. Wednesday I will upload a collage where I show how I stitch the Tyvek on.
Thank you so much! Your work is so innovative and creative, you’re such an inspiration to me! I wonder, too, have you ever tried spraying (paints, stains, etc) the just plain white pieces after manipulating them? (Does it stick/stay on?)
@@marykern4908I have painted but not tried spraying, perhaps you can experiment with that and let me know how it goes
I sure will! 😊
For those in the US, in what format & where do you purchase Tyvec? I see several different name brands & tape, paper rolls for over $100 & separate sheets of paper for less.
As I say in the video, my Tyvek is many years old. I show the label of the packaging in the video. You probably can’t buy that brand any more. My is 100x70 cm sheets.
I wonder if you would have more control if the temp was lower?
I don’t think so, you are to have a high temperature go get to work and no matter how high ore low it’s very hard to control . But if you succeed please let me know.
I have a tyvek construction waste bag which is very shiny. I’m contemplating coloring it with alcohol ink and then trying this…thoughts?
I don’t know that specific material but I would definitely try. If alcohol ink will work I don’t know either but why not.
I just had a thought I haven’t tried before. I have melted Tyvek and I have melted Angelina. I wonder what they would look like melted together?
Try it and let me know if it works 😊
What is Angelina?
@@ochervelvet9687 it is a fiber you can melt . Try go google it and you will find pic so you can see what it looks like.
I found Tyvek paper on Amazon, is this what you were using? It is the size of regular paper. 8.5 x 11 for about $21.00.
No, and I don’t know, the Tyvek I use is many years old and I think I show a label of packaging in the video. My sheets are 70x100 cm.
Have you tried stitching into the tyvek before ironing also how about applying gold leaf first ? 😂
Yes, I have put the Tyvek a trip through my sewing machine. There is so many options and only one live as fare as we know.
