Bear Boy Latin American crowds tend to be the most passionate that results in an amazing atmosphere. Compare this to American crowds and you can see a huge difference.

Maybe America just needs to eat more habanero chili peppers. This could solve, or create, a multitude of different issues.
+Bear Boy during my whole life i just though it was "something" like an act, whenever the artist stops playing to congratulate us. Saw that with Tame Impala, Radio Moscow, Iron Maiden, Metallica, System of a Down, Video Games Live, and the list goes on....
I really thought they did that everywhere, to me, was part of Showbusiness, to make the crowd feel unique and special. but after seeing Paul McCartney both in Rio de Janeiro (where i was born and raised) and Denmark , at Roskilde Festival this year, i got sure that we have something special happening down in South America.
Last time he played on Rio, he played for 3 and a half hours , and during this year at roskilde he was often complaining with the crowd that barely knew his songs other than beatles.
We yell, we clap, we shout. and i truly thought that this kind of crowd participation was everywhere, and i don't blame real fans that really DO scream, yell and shout all around, but its a small portion of a huge crowd.
In my personal view, the shows are kinda expensive...payable, but when we see the prices months earlier we really get hyped up, since the thought of "i payed 100 dollars (R$420) to this. its better be really good."
I guess this is why Iron Maiden picks up the statistics to see the biggest amount of illegal downloads to make up their Tour and a lot of other bands are doing the same.
Every year since 2011 we have been receiving Tame Impala and Kevin always makes a statement about how he truly adore the South American crowd, and i saw the same with Tommy Tallarico (from Video Games Live). He even made that public in a interview, asking which place is his favourite to play.
He said south america because we break the "orchestra playing = people in silence".
We sing along, we do the chorus, even with bad english or not even knowing the lyrics.
+Yuri Vidal Thank you for sharing this information! It seems that the South American crowds really are special. They make concerts so much more fun to watch when you have the participation and excitement of the crowd. Additionally, you bring up a strong financial point. If they're more expensive, people would probably be more willing to let loose and have a good time! It seems, in North America (from my experience), the ticket prices don't motivate people to do anything.
I've been to shows where people just stand there and they payed 70 dollars to get in. I jump around and just let loose because it is important to have fun! I would love to travel to South America for a concert so I could experience music with the people who seem to appreciate it the most. Hopefully one day! You must be proud!
+Bear Boy come to Lollapalooza 2016, we'll have Die Antwoord, Tame Impala, Alabama Shakes, Radio Moscow, Snoop Dogg and many more. The price is kinda salty for us, around USD$250 dollars for 2 day-event.

Brother tame impala esta en su mejor momento!!! me alegro por Kev, y lo felicito por no repetir las mismas formulas de sus primeros álbumes, arriesgándose con pop, r&b, disco, funk... que banda madre mía. Gente acepten Currents, es un discazo! no se cierren con las mismas cosas.
Adoro Tame Impala, sobretodo cuando era menos pop y tenía más batería.
