Awesome Jeep! Question for you, I'm considering a Predator engine for my 1972 Toyota Corona beater. With that said how would I get my lights to work if I'm to drive it on the road or at night?
Sounds like a cool project... Please post your end result... Would like to see. If your using same engine as version 1... It will charge the battery while running
Thank you A noram centrifical clutch….l need to dive deeper…is that the Warner 3sp tranny…?….is your jack shafts all one inch keyed…? The two banger really has a nice note….I have two potential 2 cylinder diesels…that may fit in the suk engine bay…very cool project.
This gives me lots of crazy options….on setting up a centrifugal clutch…using a Yanmar L-100 engine in a samurai….for farm use….can you provide a clutch source…?
Don't remember...I just read something about using acetone... So I'll try brake cleaner... And acetone... Hopefully one of them will do the trick... Thanks for the suggestion
I think that I have tried it all... Choke cleaner hear.. Not sure if I tired brake cleaner.... But I read somewhere that once that type of lining gets saturated no way of getting it out.... But I could try the brake cleaner and see....
No issues.... Very reliable... The bigger tires have caused the need to tighten the belts.... But for the years it's been together as you see it is how it's been
Neat build, I'm going to build a custom Russian style ATV. Would you mind sharing where you sourced the centrifugal clutch? I've never seen one available that large, or for that much horsepower.
The brand is Norman...I miss spoke... It's rated for 40 horse not 44... But still is a great amount to handle. Any commercial clutch supplier should have them... Make sure you post build always interesting to see other projects
@walterhurd9346 11 minutes is a little long IMO.. Like most people, im a little impatient 4-5 minutes and I'd probably watched have watched without FF to the end
Thanks for the in-depth description of your build
Your welcome......
I like your jeep looks like fun. Good job. I'm trying to learn about small engines pulleys and clutch / ways to make things move. That clutch is cool.
Does nobody see how weird the Jeep is moving in the first like 5 seconds of the video? Lol
It's the auto video stabilization not working too well
@@kevinhevans don’t worry it looks awesome
I thought it was the Jim beam.
Sounds cool. A stethoscope will help you mail down which bearing is complaining.
Wow that's a tough Jeep! The Military look is perfect with the original 5th wheel!
Just stumble on your reply.. New to all this video stuff... Yeah I liked the original look also.. But chose to mix it up a bit
You've got a nice set-up there. Makes me wish I had a mini truck or had kept my first generation Kia Sportage.
Find another.... They are fun to build and drive....
Dude that’s cool!!
Fantastic build really respect your work
Thanks for the comment.... Enjoy fabricating
Really cool looking jeep, and the power plant is amazing.
Thanks it's all about the fun factor....
Je vous regarde de france et je me régale , félicitations ✌
Thank you... Lots of fun to drive and build 👍
Well done!!
Can you recall your shaft sizes?
Did you go for the tri lobe clutch?
Shaft size? Pulley size…?
Any issues with belts heating up…slipping?
The tri lobe wasn't available... No belt slippage... The drive pulley is 3-1/2... To a 4... Then...a one to one clutch to trans
Awesome Jeep!

Get yourself a charging coil. They are bolt on and you can get them for the 212,301, and 420 predator.
Thank you

It's the original 3 speed trans... Yes 1 inch jack shaft...

The brand clutch is Norum
Did you try spraying the clutch with break cleaner?
Don't remember...I just read something about using acetone... So I'll try brake cleaner... And acetone... Hopefully one of them will do the trick... Thanks for the suggestion
Take your clutch apart and clean it with brake cleaner?
I think that I have tried it all... Choke cleaner hear.. Not sure if I tired brake cleaner.... But I read somewhere that once that type of lining gets saturated no way of getting it out.... But I could try the brake cleaner and see....
What is the make and model number of the clutch and where did you get it? I am looking for a very heavy duty one like that.
Noram is the brand... Not sure the model number
Wow thats a nice Predator build. How many miles have you put on this jeep?
Don't drive on the road... Just saying the yard and in the woods... But mostly at car shows... So not many miles I suppose
Around.... Not saying... Oops
@@walterhurd9346 so have u had any issues with the setup you have...is it a reliable setup?
No issues.... Very reliable... The bigger tires have caused the need to tighten the belts.... But for the years it's been together as you see it is how it's been
@@walterhurd9346 I would love to see how this version drives.

Correction...."Noram"
Pick up the pace ? Meaning what ?
Sickk
Side kicks Suzuki I bet would be great
Absolutely
Well that was interesting but maybe pick up the pace a little?

@walterhurd9346 11 minutes is a little long IMO.. Like most people, im a little impatient 4-5 minutes and I'd probably watched have watched without FF to the end
That should be restored to original
Why.... wasn't in no war....correct ?
Nope. It should not. It is a thing of beauty the way it is. Wearing it's years like a badge of honor.
Wasn't in no war
Are you making a statement....or commenting on grammar?
🤔🧐 didn't drive it .....
Yes... Look for that video... One is posted
