Hey there Mary, dusney plus has a big hero 6 mini series.
"Big Hero 6" is based on a Marvel Comics limited series after initially appearing in a one-shot comic in 1998. This is why Stan Lee appears in the film since it's from a Marvel comic. There is also a TV animated series in 2017 that lasted 3 seasons. The artwork uses 2D style animation rather than 3D as in this film but it's funny just the same. You also get to see more of the extra characters such as Aunt Cass, Mochi the cat and Krei. Finally, the sequel should be out next year and it's called "Baymax".
Baymax is actually a Disney+ show, and it came out last week!
To add to this, stan lee did voice his character whenever he appeared in the animated series

As a half-Japanese person that has lived in San Francisco for quite a while, I felt seen by this film. It's a personal fave.

@@Ravenbones The film takes place in a fictional city which is a mix of Tokyo and San Fransisco. And Hiro + Tadashi are obviously half Japanese half American.

Hoo boy. That "lame song" comment sure as hell isn't gonna go over well. I remember how beloved "Immortals" was when this movie first came out. It might have been even more popular than the actual movie. And most everyone loved the movie.
For a GREAT Stan Lee part, see the Kevin Smith film "Mallrats". In Captain Marvel, Stan Lee's cameo showed him reading a script and practicing his lines for that movie.

I found it amazing how the huggable marshmallow became so intimidating on the rampage scene. Although I do wonder why he was installed with red scary eyes

I think anyone who suffered the loss of someone that close will be emotional watching this movie. That pain is so intense, it's like something breaks in you that can't ever be fixed. I couldn't help but empathize.
Brother stuff always gets me in movies, and this one really hit me in the feels. Great film.
Stan Lee cameos in Marvel properties(non-MCU) - Daredevil (2003), Hulk(2003), Fantastic Four(2005), Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer(2007) are the ones I think you're missing

Honestly, with his invention--he could have started his own company and make billions. He didn't need college to become a world-changing success, but that would have messed up the story, so we go with it.
But he could be inventing way more interesting things with the tech the school has, heck maybe even getting advice on what could work or not.
He would've had a hard time patenting the microbots, considering they relied on Callahan's IP.
To add to what Shane Rux listed off, Stan also makes a cameo in the fun, short and sweet Agent Carter series.
I heartily second that recommendation. :)
Just imagine being professor callaghan. You want revenge, you risk a lot of people and kill one young man, a pupil, by accident to make it to your moment of revenge.
And then you discover that the reason for that vengeance was no more, that your daughter was alive but you will never be able to be with her because of your search for revenge. And you know that you could have saved her earlier, but you dedicated your efforts to kill someone instead of searching for her.
I don't know, I think Callghan was totally and completely defeated. More than most villains in any movie.

I too assumed that Baymax was named Big Hero 6 when I saw the poster.
Myself, I love the team, because they’re so different from each other & have to much integrity & affection.
honey lemon's chemical bag with the periodic table on the side was my fave piece of tech honestly (aside from the microbots)
I'm a sucker for plasma based tech so Wasabi's blades were my favorite.
This movie was funny and emotional. I cry every time when Baymax sacrifices himself for Hiro.
Hey Mary! If you want a Stan Lee “cameo” have you seen “Mallrats”? You may have noticed Stan reading the script for “Mallrats” in his cameo in “Captain Marvel”. 😆😂🤣
Idk if anyone’s mentioned it but in Age of Ultron, Tony Stark has an A.I. interface with Tadashi’s name on it. It’s the scene before the Sokovia fight when he boots up Friday. A classic “blink and you’ll miss it” scene.
Also no idea if it was retconned in anyway but it was suppose to make Big Hero 6 canon to the marvel universe

Love this movie, it's such a good film, I just wish they had gone on to make more but fingers crossed for the future, Baymax is right there with Baby Yoda on the adorable scale! Also, while not MCU, it is a marvel property!
Disney+ just dropped a Baymax series.
Right now, I would not trust Pixar with a "Big Hero 6" sequel. After "Lightyear," they have officially burned all of their bridges. That company needs to be fixed, before we get more from Pixar!

fun fact: Alan Tudyk, who played Krei in this movie, he played a robot in the movie I, robot. that's kinda cool imo

No matter how many times I watch this, that Tadashi is here scene and Baymax sacrifice always bring tears to my eyes.
Big Hero 6 is continued in the Big Hero 6 animated series, which does a great job of expanding the universe and continuing to develop the characters.
When I first saw this movie, and saw the words "SanFransokyo" on the waterfront, at the beginning, my immediate thought was: "Wow... So this is literally 'Man in the High Castle' universe!" lol
A Universe where the Axis won World War II, and the Japanese conquered America (or at least the western half of it).
I describe the art/look of Big Hero 6 is "anime meets Disney," because the movie is full of anime tropes!
I also knew going in that the movie is about grief. I first saw on cable Video on Demand after hearing about it online.
Though there isn't a second movie, Disney did produce a Big Hero 6 tv series in 2017. As for Stan Lee cameos, Stan did a great cameo in Kevin Smith's Mallrats.

I have discovered this great movie about a year ago, I was really surprised by it. In a good way. Not sure why I have not seen it sooner.

I forgot that Stan Lee worked on some projects in Japan, and Big Hero 6 was one of them. I believe there was another one called Anima, but I only read a manga of that character. I really hope Disney come around to making a sequel, or at least making a live action adaptation of Big Hero 6 🤗

A movie that has the main marvel man as one of the main characters is Stan Lee's Mighty 7 beginnings. I think it's great movie that's worth a watch.

Great Stan Lee's - and one of first memorable - performance is in the movie Mallrats (1995) by Kevin Smith, altough he dosn't play a random character but himself. But I can recomended this movie to watch, it's really fun.

The producer of this movie was MARV, a sort of offshoot of Marvel Productions. Marv also made the Kingsman movies, which were, of course, first comic books.
This was Stan's next to last appearance, I think.

A lot of people are naming Mallrats as a Stan Lee cameo, but he is actually a side character in that movie, playing himself. It's not just a cameo, there is a whole side storyline, revolving around meeting him.
Stan Lee is one of the protagonists' heroes. Soo...Stan is basically the "wise old man" one of the protagonists needed to talk to, so they can complete their "quest."

Funny you should mention if Big Hero 6 was a comic. My avatar is actually a picture of me in the second volume of the comic where they introduced Fred and Wasabi, who are literally different characters in the book that was drawn by super star artist by the name of David Nakayama. Stan Lee was in an early 90s horror movie called the Ambulance with Eric Roberts.

Since this was on 1995 way before having a cameo by Mr. Lee cool, popular or a common thing. On one of his last cameos ever Stan Lee decided to give a nod to Mr. Smith making his of Captain Marvel practicing his lines for Mallrats.

Tadashi chip was an easter egg in Avengers: Age of Ultron. You can see it when Tony Stark is selecting a new AI for his Armor. He choses "Friday" but "Tadashi" is on the table as well.
