To celebrate his 29 goals for England I had 29 quickfire questions for Frank , from his favourite super hero to his best away ground ... sorry Tottenham fans .
The full interview will be out next week , make sure to subscribe & turn notifications on . - Sport
"We called it three point lane, rather than White Hart Lane" 💀😂
Thank you boys I’ve missed Frank
Spuds in the mud always and forever
Lol that hurts hahaha
And you have Keano who always say, "Lads it's Spurs its just spurs"
Anyone loves to beat Spurs
“We used to beat them a lot”
“We all did.” 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Such a savage moment lol. Spurs should be worshipping Pochettino for even giving them a chance to brush this image off.
Tottenham get battered everywhere they go 🤣🤣
Actually laughed out loud for that one hahaha
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Love it when they unite to shit on spurs
Frank Lampards ability to go from laughing to a serious face in less than a second is amazing
Check out Conor Moore's impression of him. Nails the "laughing to serious" bit!
@@nailloz Farley is better
He’s like Kanye West doing it, it’s so odd 😂
Kanye Lampard.
@@Kingofthekop1 Farley is average when it comes to players outside Liverpool
" you are now a real manager cos you have been sacked" lol😂
Classic Jose
i hope frank does his trademark 'answer portion of question-laugh while answering the rest of the question- finish comment on a serious note' thing. its brilliant
3 minutes in and he’s done it twice. Glad you weren’t left disappointed 😂
@@freear42 bahaha its brilliant
3:11 a classic example
Thanks for pointing that out
Interviews must be a nightmare. I'm sure his going in head, "don't laugh, don't laugh." and then it comes out.
Loved this. Frank is such a top bloke, could listen to him all day.
He was on Joe Cole’s podcast not too long ago
What is bloke
@@alexwolf6347 guy, man.
@@t95.46 Ah thx my English is not that good but still ok for a Dutch man 😉
These are getting better and better, no better notification on CZcams than an overlap upload. I’d love to see one with Eric cantona in the future.
Wen ze seagulls.... love ze football...
Frank is right. CR7 is the real GOAT 🐐
@@yoyo1425 true
Yeah Cantona talking BS about philosophy would be a great video🥱
Brilliant suggestion!
As Spurs fan, I just knew he couldn't get through the interview without a go at us😂 fair play, we've been shit most of my lifetime
It's because of Levi
You've been alive a long time my friend
yeah you have
Spurs under Poch were wonderful
This was brilliant - Lampard seems like such a genuine bloke, just from his humour and demeanour in that interview.
Also picking Federer as his Icon. Legend.
That’s because he’s with good Northern Ireland girl.
Nadal>>>
@@ped09576 No way. Nadal is only the goat on clay.
@@leemcqueen500 Roger is only goated on grass then, even Djokovic is better he's the most versatile but no one comes close to prime Nadal
Fed is the king
Lampard will always be a legend! Top player and will be a top manager! Super Franky Lampard!! 💙
I really hope Frank gets another shot at managing a great team soon.
MANAGER AHAHAHHAHAHAHAHGAGAHAHGAHAGHA
Great name
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Shit manager. Failed at chelsea and failed at derby ffs
This online content beats any standard television programmes hands down!
I don’t even turn the tv on hardly these days, youtube/channels like this have taken over any of my viewing entertainment
@@gaz8177 You sold the TV for smack
@@finbarobruadair2761 cool story 👍
1:06 - Finally a player ACTUALLY answering the "best goal" question correctly. The best goal means the best goal. Not the goal that means the most or the importance of it. It means the best goal from a footballing skill point of view. Glad he answered that correctly instead of saying the goal against Bolton that won the first title in 50 years.
Chill babe, it's not that important... you have a nice nap.
You’re really passionate about this
I was so happy that my favorite goal of Lampard is his own favorite 😆❤
not important
funny thing is you wrote the exact answer that you didnt want to hear from him. dont know how your kind even survives for so long
So glad there's finally a Chelsea man on The Overlap. Thanks Gary!
@Tom Quantum He became a Chelsea man when West Ham turned their backs on him
What a player Lampard was, even when he joined City in his late day he was brilliant 1 of the Premier League 🐐s
Scholes was better
@@VaeVictis96 No he really wasn't.
@@VaeVictis96 scholes and lampard different players but everyone knows lampard is the goat
“Worst dress sense?”
“Goalkeepers” 😂
Always my favourite player outside Everton. Such a likeable guy, hope he makes it as a manager.
Well seems like the lad could take over your club soon as a manager
@@tihomiraleksic9926 he is the manager now lol
@@seanquinn5483 That aged well......
Lampard's about as good a manager as Alan Shearer was, Chelsea be in the relegation battle soon enough 😂😂😂
“Now your a real manager because you’ve been sacked” 😂😂
Not lampard bumped into jose and jose said that “you’re a real manager because you’re getting sacked” that sent me bro 💀 mou is something else
At last Mason got his wisdom teeth removed this season hahahahaha
But no seriously, I’m really happy for Mason.
🤣🤣🤣
😂😂😂😂😂
😂😂😂
Where did he say this?
Why did I read this in my mind with Lampard's voice? Magic
Frank comes across as such a nice and genuine bloke
Tottenham fan here but I’ve always liked and respected Frank. Seems like a top bloke.
Three point lane though 😂😂😂
Frank is pure class. Such a nice gentleman in and off the field. Lengend
Hazard was the man, when you watch him play live even on TV, my tele was like a game....Eden! Eden! Pure skill and talent. People talk about hard work over talent but Eden was pure skill
Yeah man . Eden played some Playstation football
if he had put in the hard work at Madrid he would still be at that Chelsea level. Let his fitness go and the injuries followed. real shame
Frank comes over really well I’ve never listened to him speak before but he seems really likeable. Even though he nearly broke my heart in 2008. Legend.
You been living under a rock?
I'm sure I read someplace that he got lots of exam passes at high rate ? Xx
@@claireyounger8322 Got an 'A' in Latin. That's always what got mentioned when people said he was smart
Absolutely baffles me you haven't heard Frank speak before this
@@GoGetYourShinebox why I’m not a Chelsea fan. I’ve seen after match interviews but, I’ve never watched any proper interviews with him about his personal life or anything like that.
The iron man idea needs to happen, if only for Keane sound bites 😂
Honestly think this was one of Gary’s best interviews. You can clearly see Frank’s football and general intelligence, holds himself very well and genuinely great to listen to/watch. Love it!
Lampard was absolutely world class in his day.
Lampard is a Legend one of the greatest player ever.
And all the Chelsea players enjoying the popularity of the club enjoying the prevelige of the league Remember it's players Like Lampard that brought in the attraction from around the world.
Lamps, true legend.
Brilliant. Loved his view on Scholes/Gerrard - probably best response I’ve heard. Comes across as a ‘good bloke’ - humility, humour and honest. Great video
I agreed with all of it until he said scholes could of played behind them in the holding role, it wouldn’t of worked scholes was couldn’t tackle and lacked the athleticism to make up for it
Silva drinking beer has to be the best thing from this interview 😂
The shock on Gary's face was epic . Class recognises class Lampard 🤝Silva
@@prateekchatterjee5199 this man gave recognition to Silva, Iniesta, Xavi, Stevie and Scholesy in this video.
I swear to god a safe space for spurs fans on the internet is like a unicorn 😂😂
Lmao
My sporting idol right there, for how he carries himself both on and off the pitch. Pure class.
Brilliant video - keep these coming.
Couldn’t agree more - class
The question about messi vs RONALDO on 2:09 ❤️
Such an intelligent guy. Would like him as the next England manager.
Im a united fan, but I've always had good intuition about Frank. This interview has reaffirmed that for me, he seems a good switched on lad. I wish you all the best pal.
"History!?...Where's that come from?" It's the accumulation of past events, Gary.
Tbh, Frank would have been successful in anything he tried. The man is very intelligent and I think that really helped him be a second ahead of everyone else on the pitch
Apart from football management
@@charlielumley8889 Really ???, Frank`s managed 2 clubs, did very well with derby,as good as anyone could, then his chelsea stint went well,he brought in the youth, and qualified for champs league, and left tuchel with a decent set up. He`s still a novice at the moment, and it`ll take time, but he has great potential.
@Come on Chelsea No he aint,he`s had 2 clubs,he hasnt even started out on his managerial career yet,so give him some credit,as a lifelong Chelsea fan, love the guy,and he did a decent job managing CFC,giving the youth a chance, and changing things around a bit,Tuchel is class and is for me one of the top 3 managers in the world, and he took franks chelsea and basically taught them how to defend and attack as a team.
@@harryevans1347 he did what everyone had done at Derby for about 10 years, they were always in the playoffs. He did no better than managers before him - he didn't do a bad job, but people need to calm down when saying he did well. Chelsea still spent 100mil with a transfer ban in the summer he became manager, then spent 200 odd mil the next summer and couldn't do anything with them. Nothing he has done in management provides any proof he's any good. People go on about him giving youth a chance - Chelseas youth are the best in the world... Of course he was going to give them a chance, wasn't some masterstroke by him more of a sign of how short-term Chelsea are ran normally that they haven't given young players a chance since abramovich came in
@@harryevans1347 you just said yourself tuchel taught them how to attack and defend as a team. That's basic football. Lampard couldn't get them to do it.
Favorite player as a kid and wasn’t even a Chelsea fan. Always going to be a legend
Great sense of humour Frank’s got.
Neither joe cole not Neville asked about current Chelsea or tuchel.
Besides Messi, Lampard is someone I admire so much!! I remember watching football in 2008 and he was doing an interview like this… he hasn’t changed at all… level headed, genuine and all round funny guy! Great interview this!
Scholes, Stevie G & Lampard should have played together more for the Three Lions!
Super Frankie Lampard! I miss him so much!
Articulate, intelligent and interesting. Top player.
What a legend. My childhood hero. Because of him I always use to love taking shots from anywhere when I played football in the park lol
Thank you Gary for interviewing Frank. I started watching football because of Lampard and Sir Alex. Legends
Honestly as a Chelsea fan I love this guy, would be very happy to see him back at the bridge one day
Loving this Gary! Yes, Three Point Lane games were so memorable, one of my favourite was the season after winning the UCL, we won 4-2 and Mata scored two and assisted one
He doesn't have a good memory though.
During the seasons Lampard played for Chelsea they also included at WhiteHartLane
Spurs 5-1 Chelsea 2001/02 LeagueCup
Spurs 0-0 Chelsea PL 2002/03
Spurs 2-1 Chelsea PL 2006/07
Spurs 4-4 Chelsea PL 2007/08

@@cddb5408 Yes but there was a run which stretched back to 1990 and went up until 2006, they didn't win a single league game against us, not even one, Spuds hated playing us during that era
I was at that game 🔵 Cahills volley was unbelievable to see live!
Love these so much, Frank is a special player for me. Just enjoyed the relentlessness of his goalscoring from midfield and the way he carried himself, he seems a true gent. NUFC fan
A lifelong Arsenal fan with nothing but pure love and respect for Frank Lampard. Incredible player on and off the pitch and no doubt a legend at his club. Also I love the "3 point lane" jibe. God bless you Frank. x
Must love Lampard and hate Drogba 🤣🤣
This is by far the best one yet. Hes fascinating to listen to and I’m looking forward to a longer interview if it’s coming!

My all time favourite player, my childhood hero. Nobody will ever be a bigger Chelsea legend for me.
The best English and Premier League midfielder of all time for me and the best goalscoring midfielder bar none.

I am hooked... Thank you Sky and Gary! :)
“three point lane” absolutely ruthless 😂
Frank seems like such a lovely and genuine guy. Loved this interview 🙌
Gary really does get the best out of the intervieewes. So natural.
These are quality. Informative, candid, insightful and light hearted all at the same time. Hope we can see many more.
Frank Lampard is really frank. Him mentioning becoming a Ronaldo fan now is absolutely am8zing. Ronaldo deserves that and he proves his doubters wrong time and again. He is drawing alot of fans and former players into his corner now.
These are brilliant! Keep them coming!
Can’t wait for the full interview to drop, gonna be a gem 🤩
Absolutely love these series
Legends recognise legends. Keep up the top work Gary!
One of the greatest for me, not only as a player but also as a human being.
9:50 .... that is one incredible question. Hazard or Zola.
I supported Chelsea because of Zola, but I'll try to leave bias aside. No doubt, Zola was better at free kicks and probably had the edge in vision or passing. But overall, leaving nostalgia aside, I have to go with Hazard.
But both were absolute magicians. In different ways. Zola was the maestro, Hazard was the entertainer.
Salah better than both combined
@@ajtraceey 😆
@@ajtraceey nope, Salah is just a selfish stat-padder
@@absafter lmaoooo you're salty. Salah week in week out is cementing himself as a PL great. Goals against every top team he's faced but he stat pads? cry more
@@mclovinjr9086 I watch football for players like Zola and Hazard not Salah. The consensus can be that he's better or a Prem great but I'd take those 2 at my club over him any day. Mesmerising players to watch.

If only that one goal at the World Cup in 2010 counted it would have been a perfect 30…
