    I grew up in Bethel Park ( known as Bethel PA until it got the “Park” addition in the 1950’s), less than a mile from South Park and its buffalo herd-later lived in Richland Township near North Park. Both are great county parks and great communities!😊

    I remember when Christina Aguilera was only 10 or 11 years old she used to sing the National Anthem at all of the Penguin and Pirate games.

    I looked into Pittsburgh with some depth and passed. This is a city with a declining population and has not much to offer. high crime, bad weather and declining industry.

      @Nightshade-dh9fm Před rokem +8

      The city itself has lost population over the last 20 years, but the Metro has stayed roughly the same or even grew, which means people are just moving to the suburbs, which is a common trend among many major cities.
      Pittsburgh is on the safer side of similar sized cities in terms of crime, some similar sized cities that are ranked more dangerous are SLC, Portland, Sacramento, Las Vegas, Cincinnati, in fact Pittsburgh is in the top 20% for safety among similar sized cities.
      Pittsburgh Steel industry is for sure gone but it's medical industry is booming, just depends on what career you're looking for.
      Weather, ya can't help ya there lol, it's very much love or hate it.

      @@Nightshade-dh9fm I say it's just like any where. Yea you can be the victim of a crime in any city or town, but if you stay out of the areas where crime is more concentrated like the Wilkinsburgh/Homewood area, the hill district, McKeesport and some others than you'll more than likely be fine. I've read the same thing though that pittsburgh is on the safer end as far as cities are concerned. It's got its areas like anywhere else, but it's not even close to some places like Chicago, LA, Detroit
