I just love your reaction to your own food. Nearly the same as mine. I used spinach instead of broccoli as that’s what I had & used a thin slice of brie as that’s what I had in the fridge. Yummy.

Ooh! Definitely going to try this recipe. I’ve got one chopped up leek in my freezer that was extra from a recipe so I think I will add that in as well. This would be good for dinner with a nice green salad.

For the broccoli, I substituted shredded Sweetheart aka Hispi cabbage for me, frozen peas for my girl. Wonderful results, really. This recipe is infinitely variable, I think, and you could add bits of sausage or shredded chicken from the Sunday roast to satisfy the meat eaters here. In fact, every family member can have their own version and eat it hot or cold. I'll be coming back to this idea a lot.
Puff pastry is expensive where I live. $5.49 for 2 sheets. Tesco has practically the same thing for 1.40 Pounds. Groceries are much cheaper in the UK than in the US.

Really loved this baked recipe option. So, on the West Coast California, we have a freezer item titled Indian Samosas that I love that are filled with an Indian Chicken Curry. From watching Jamie and that lot, I learnt to not wash the mushrooms. Instead, to use a pastry brush or kitchen towel to dust off the little black pigments.

@@m4yh3m121 There is this famous mushroom seller in Borough Market, London (way before the attack) and he told me to just dust it using a pastry brush with bristles.
I prefer Jamie to Gordon actually but this is because all of JO's recipes have worked for me. As for Gordo, it was just that one butter chicken recipe. He did one with Alan Carr during a show called Cookalong on Channel4. Very long time ago.
@@Natasha26 hi Natasha, thank you for the info, but for me personally I don't think it'd be clean enough to eat with a pastry brush, I typically peel the mushroom with a potato peeler 😅
Its fine ppl to wash the mushrooms if you are going to use them straight away. As you can see, it turned out just fine.

You let it sit a little to soften enough so it can be unrolled. Don't leave it to come to room temp otherwise it gets too soft and can easily break. I found that out the hard way, lol

What brand of puff pastry sheets would you recommend.? I tried ‘just roll’ from Tesco but never puffed up , not sure what went wrong !

Are you sure it was puff pastry and not regular pastry...? Just roll do both

I would think so but I am not into freezing so cant give you advice on that
