❤ loved this vlog I lost a colleague to suicide a few years ago and to this day I would not have thought he had any mental health issues, you’re honesty is admirable. Keep well and safe ❤

Thank you so much JP for talking about this. Depression has been kicking my butt for years but i'm fighting back. I'm so much better then i was a year ago! The last few days i've been working on making my house a home again instead of this dump it has been for so long. It has a while to go but i'm feeling so much better already. Even with this little bit of a change.
I want to give you the biggest of hugs! Ever since finding you i've been really excited when i see a video of yours pop up! ❤ Keep doing what you do! You are doing amazing JP!

The story behind the semi-colon as a symbol for mental health is a nice one with a sad ending.
I have several mental health issues, PTSD, EUPD, Depression and Anxiety, you are spot on mate, there is still a terrible stigma attached to it, and the usual response is snap out of it but as you say unless you are someone who suffers you will never truly understand it.
Aye buddy, it’s up to us to make peoples realise that it’s a burden but you can get through and live life to the fullest as it’s sweet, every single second of it ❤️ JP

One of the most touching and thoughtful vlogs I've watched recently. It's lovely to put a face to the name often mentioned by Dan. You have a kind soul. Loved the ending, it reminded me of making a fire like that at Girl Guides.

Hugs. I don't know what it is like to suffer from depression but I have family members, friends and a neighbour who does. You just have to offer compassion and lend an ear for them to talk to you without you being judgemental. I told my neighbour any time she was feeling down to give me a call or knock on my door. I lost my good friend to suicide a few years ago. We were talking and joking on FB for a few hours and by the next morning he was gone and he knew how much we loved him but he had his own Demons to deal with. It was devastating. This was a good video for you to do. I am sure you have helped someone. Loved the trail cam footage and the man at the end finding joy in making fire from a piece of wood.

I'm so sorry to hear about your friend the terrible thing is probably 8 ut of 10 people in the UK could probably say the same, it needs to be spoken about and hopefully awareness and understanding will reach those in need and they will understand they're not alone and help can and will be given and also tomorrow or the next day or a week later even things can creep up and get better x thanks for your kind comments X JP
The little wood here, is really special when you consider its size and what it yields. We have an AndyMan club back at home, my brother had mental health issues but I am going back 60 years back, he took his own life when I was young, so its a topic that's very close to my heart.

Good for you for talking about your mental health, we need to talk about it all the time. It really annoys me when it’s ‘Mental health awareness WEEK’ why just a week we should be aware people struggle every day/week of the year. My family always talk about their mental health, it’s important to talk, people should never feel alone. A problem shared is a problem halved and you do get there eventually with the help and support of your loved ones. My cousin committed suicide years ago and I always wish he had opened up to me. Anyway loving your channel, I’ve just come over from Travel trolls, looking forward to more videos 😊 well done to Laurie, never give up!

Plus politicians dangle the carrot at election time about they will do more for sufferers of poor mental health and then whip it away when it’s over! And good for you and your family for broaching the subject I’m so sorry you have lost someone, I’ve sat and tried to put my self into the head of someone who’s considering it but it’s a dark desperate place if only we could get through to them 😞 x and Laurie was one of the most wonderful people I’ve ever me and had the fortune to share a little bit of knowledge that he needed… I’ll never forget him ❤️ have a lovely day! What a brave man. I'm a female suffering. I quite agree with all you said. I have always said it's much harder for men suffering from depression.
My depression often has no rhyme or reason it mostly just happens.
This has helped me so much thank you.
Being disabled and stuck in doors my dream for next summer is to sleep in the garden underneath the stars.
I suffer from fatigue and I reckon I must have slept through few days and missed this summer lol. Anyone else feel the same lol.

Well I for one am sane as a......erm sane person!! Yet if you heard me talking to the birds of every species and various animals I appear COMPLETELY CRAZY...yet I am only a little crazy for one must evolve with humour and love for nature. We are blessed truly. Herons talk to me. Kites. Sparrows. Swifts call me from above withe different calls....the birds now all copy each other because I started copying them now they all do crazy calls or new calls to surprise me....and it's a beautiful surprise every time....ONELOVE BELOVED ONE

Hi JP totally understand where you are coming from I deal with my mental health issues one day at a time l accept it's apart of me and I live with it l take meds for anxiety but not for depression in my sixtys now and refuse to be beaten and yes the Samaritans are amazing take care follow your dreams and stay safe ❤

It’s very difficult to talk as a bloke - I’ve never been good at really talking. Our daughter asks her kids - our grandkids - how they’re feeling at the start of each day and at the end.
Helps them to discuss their feelings early in their lives. So this chat was wonderful JP.
Also loved that trailcam footage - beautiful Buzzard but not good to see that Mink. We have a lot around here.

Great vid JP an I used to breed ferrets back in the UK in the late 70's and early 80's and also had a polecat I bred with the ferrets and one time my personal white polecat bit my little finger mistaking it for the food I was holding for dear life and boy was that hard to get it to release my finger and the Tetanus injection was a joy 😅

I electrical taped it up and necked a packet of pain killers lol 😂… I take it you’re in Canada 🇨🇦? I’ve just found out that I’m a Canadian citizen now as my Dad was born there and I can just fill out the forms and get a passport under a new Canadian citizenship law so I think I’ll be travelling out there more soon lol 😂 🙌👍

Great video jp and brave to open up mate .i know ive kept my problems to myself as long as possible but its clear to family i was struggling.i lost my wife to covid and i just went down hill .she was my everything jp only in her 40s .still cant get my head around it now .i fight my demons every day .dont want to be here and miss her so much .i just take it day by day and see what happens .your a brave man jp .keep striding forward mate .
