    About one green bottle...
One green bottle was started in 2006 when I was looking for a drinks bottle for my son to take to school each day. I had worked as an industrial chemist in Europe and Asia and was aware of the chemical composition of plastics and how readily compounds could leach into drinks. I identified 304 grade stainless steel as the most inert, safe and toxin free material around and started buying bottles and lunch boxes for friends and family.
Huge amounts of plastic single use bottles are thrown into landfill or our oceans each year. Plastic takes 500yrs to decompose. In the Ocean it breaks down into plastic microparticles that are ingested by marine creatures and sea life. We can all make a big difference by not buying single use plastic bottles. Each plastic bottle of water takes around 2 cups of oil to manufacture, it can leach harmful, toxic chemicals into your drink, it could have been in that bottle for up to 5 years and it could have traveled thousands of miles to get to your supermarket. We only recycle a fraction of disposed plastics. Stainless steel bottles are proven to be the healthiest choice of beverage container.
    IT’S GOOD BEING GREEN

That was properly interesting JP. I worked on the technical side of the textile industry for 50 years eeek! I had to deal with water and sewage treatment amongst other things. Right back to the early 1960's the company I worked at was cleaning up effluent using "bugs" rather than just filtration and aeration. The results were excellent even removing dyes.Water could be returned to the river afterwards. The bugs digested the "crap" in the water. That was almost 60 years ago!
Loved this video mate and I agree with what you said.
    Cheers mate.Keep well.

Hi There jp , Hope you are well , Great video , i Have learnt so much about water , so Thank you for educating us , Take Care All 👍

Interesting subject, All stored water is classed as fluid category 2, In your home the cold kitchen tap is supplied straight from the mains for cooking(fluid category 1). Stored water in a van has the potential for a temperature change due to small tanks therefore has the potential to become a breeding ground for legionella. So your advice to use your own hoses and cleanse the system periodically is very good advice.
The question is would you drink fluid category 2 water? that's debatable depending on the age and upkeep of the system, I would certainly drink yours 👍

100 percent, I need to add a footnote really that my van is in constant use and drained and filled constantly so not left standing at all for any period of time and I always err on the side of caution when it comes to sources.it’s a fascinating subject when you delve into it full I’ll check that info 👍 cheers Phil interesting post much appreciated 😉👍

I always wanted to ask about water in the motorhomes so thank you for that. Also i love the stainless steel water bottles not necessarily from this company so may give them a try. Mine always got stained with coffee do you know if these do or how to remove coffee stains that’s why i stopped using them.
