Baku has always been good, the reason most F1 players hate it is because it's difficult, they probably don't appreciate it because they've never managed to be fast there. Imo it's the best circuit on the calendar once you know it inside out, it's the perfect street track

I'm learning to play with abs and no line but I'm on controller so for exoamle when jarno says break at 100 board it's mean 130 for me and the 50 boards about 60 70 for me but can't wait to get a wheel but won't be anything like this setup just something to get me into instead if using controller Baku is my favourite when I used the line and abs assist but now it's pretty tricky to get a fast time

I don't get why people short shift so much? I hate short shifting in f1 2021 and I mainly do it only in the rain. I play with no assists on 80-90 ai. Isn't it faster to learn the right amount of throttle for 2nd and 3rd gear?

It’s slower, that’s why we do it, plus the gear ratio is super short in the F1 games

I'm sure if doing it the way you're describing was noticeably faster, the F1 E-Sports drivers and other fastest sim racers in the world would do it, but they don't.

They short shift to minimize wheelspin on exit, and it is faster

What are you on about right amount? In a car with close to 1000HP you aren't getting good traction in 2nd and 3rd gear when accelerating hard. The F1 games are far from realistic and lack loads of grip on power but you short shift to get better traction and back on full power sooner. The Hybrid cars have massive amounts of torque and will give nearly the same pull in 4th as it would in 3rd. What you might lose in pulling power you will gain in traction. There not like the old V8's and V10's where you had to use all the revs to get max torque/power. The statement you make about racing 80-90 AI proves your slow so to say someone who is at least 5 seconds a LAP faster than you should learn how to drive is stupid.

Not a great lap honestly. 1:39.2 if i see that correctly. I'm not even in eSports and I can set 1:38.8 easily, I wish he gave a better guide on what gears to take it in and maybe even a setup guide.

None of the drivers play the F1 games when sim racing unless they're contractually obliged too/for the lulz and none of the fans who have bothered investing in a wheel and pedals do either.
Why bother with it? Make codemasters do better, get an actual sim because it wasn't F1 games people were playing over lockdown, it was AC and ACC, it was iRacing, Automobilista, Rfactor and so on.
Why are you even entertaining these clowns of the industry that no one likes?
