  • It’s been 4 years since I went home. In this video I share the three main things I uncovered during my visit to beloved South Africa.
Keeping with the theme of not overthinking everything to death, I shot, edited and posted this within 4 days which is a huge win! This also means I did not obsess over every possible thing that could possibly be changed - this is progress.

Yoh this was what I needed to hear yazi. You speaking about driving past in Cape Town and having triggers about worrying ukuth i rent uzoy bhadala kanjani. And here you are on the other side of that worry. You made made it through it and now its different, I too have hope now. That I'll look back someday having made it. I'm so happy for you mama!

Hey honey! I’m so glad that you harvested that from this video. Yes indeed, there is a place and state of life beyond the struggle that is much more stable, comfortable and undeniable. Thing is when you are in the hardest part of it, it’s so hard to picture your life being a different way - but truly, it can be!

Hello! Thank you for your message - yes a lot of people feel really sad when it’s time to leave SA no matter where they are from. It’s truly something special! 🤩

A Ugandan was deported from the UK after 30yrs she was upset. A Zimbabwean has not seen her mother in 10yrs and doesnt know when she'll be seeing her. Another Zimbabwean has not been home in 16yrs. Nigerians commit suicide when they get deported (forced to go home), Ghanaians, Nigerians and Congolese want to call South Africa their home and come here, this is not their home they dont want to go home.

I can’t tell you how many times I thought about reaching out!!! My time was very limited (to a point where I didn’t get to see some family members - yikes!) so how about this? I’ll give you a call/video call on Friday? And we can chop it up. Let me know what you think!

  • @rorirory121

The only thing that matters is what South Africans think about our beautiful country and not what jealous foreigners and their brainwashing foreign media thinks. Its like you personally, what matters the most is what you think about yourself and not what other people including your family think about you.

Thank you so much for engaging with this content. I see what you are saying and I also think there is room to take into account what other people’s experiences are of being in our country, or provides an opportunity for self-reflection as a people and a place. Thinking of making a video about the role of the global community to SA.

@@TheDidiness Hi Didi, thanks for your reply. From what Im seeing i can inform you in advance that, investors, diplomats, exchange students and NGOs aside, like business investors, there is nothing that the international community is doing in and for South Africa apart from wandering, lazying around, loitering, causing population explosion and putting further strain on our already overstretched resources like electricity, water, hospitals, public schools and prisons. And, increasing rent for South Africans. The situation is bad hence the investigation into the issuing of visas at Home Affairs. An investigation covering 20yrs is going to cost us a fortune. The only people Im willing to give a break are all Mozambicans except criminals because they are serious about work, skilled and semi skilled Zimbabweans, Lesotho mine workers and Swaziland. The rest...NO. Cheers.
