    The Doctors debate: As measles make a nationwide comeback, are parents who refuse to vaccinate their children contributing to the problem? Or are the vaccinations more dangerous than the disease itself? Barbara Loe Fisher, co-founder and president of the National Vaccine Information Center, shares the toll a vaccination allegedly took on her son Chris, who immediately after being vaccinated with a DPT shot suffered a convulsion, went into shock and lost consciousness. He was later diagnosed with brain damage and attention-deficit disorder.
    This video will show you:
    HOW TO discuss child vaccination
    HOW TO talk to your doctor
    HOW TO ask medical questions

      Really? If your child severely fractures his arm, he may have to undergo surgery to enable the bones to heal properly. The surgery, like any surgery, would carry a risk, but it wouldn't be up to the parents. If the parents were to decline a necessary medical procedure for their child, the authorities would be called and the procedure would still be performed. Just because it's your child doesn't mean it's your right to keep him from receiving basic medical care.

      The scientific evaluations have already been carried out and vaccines have been proven again and again to be exceptionally safe and successful in keeping people healthy and eradicating endemic and deadly diseases. You are always going to have tiny fraction of the population that will experience negative consequences. Every human experience has a small proportion of negative outcomes, like car accidents. Should we stop and outright ban driving? Of course not. We evaluate whether a person is fit to drive and provide them with a license (the vaccine or preventive measure) . But people will still get in car accidents(negative health consequences despite preventative measures). It isn’t fair, but it’s part of being human. And if a child has cancer and can’t be vaccinated, why he less important than a child who can bring disease to him? If a child with cancer contracts a serious and preventable disease on top of cancer it is overwhelmingly possible that the child will die or be irrevocably disabled. The odds of a healthy child dying or becoming irrevocably disabled from a vaccine is infinitesimal. I’d way rather have an autistic child than a dead child.The uptick in autism, adhd etc, is actually a function of the ability to name and properly diagnose and treat these conditions. Prior to the last 20-30 years people with these psychiatric and neurological symptoms were institutionalized for life. The current generation hasn’t seen their friends and neighbours in iron lungs or have had their entire neighbourhood (or city!) dead from smallpox.

      This! I got in a discussion with someone over this. In the end he said that yes, it's fine to force everyone to vaccinate and damage or kill some people because "it still saves more people". Are you kidding me? You decide who is more important. You think every mother should be forced to carry her child off to be shot up and then hope, pray and hold vigil, hoping that her little one will live and not be chronically effected by these vaccines? But they feel sorry for those poor mothers during the polio years.

      @@mchobbit2951 Seat bets sometimes kill or injure people, but we still use them because they save far more people than they harm. Not using seat belts caused more harm, so we made it a law forcing everyone to wear seat belt. It's the same principle with vaccines. They do more good than harm. It's unfortunate that some people have bad reactions and suffer permanent damage or death, but it's unavoidable. The alternative is to not vaccinate and take a bigger risk, and at the cost of everyone else's health and yours.
      You're more likely to suffer serious injury or death from a vaccine-preventable disease than you are from the vaccine itself. Not vaccinating wouldn't be an issue if it only affected the individual, but it doesn't. It affects everyone around the unvaccinated person. The very young, the allergic and the immunocompromised is at risk of permanent damage or death every time they get sick. By vaccinating you're making it harder for disease to spread and eventually the disease will become eradicated as it cannot infect any more people. This is called herd immunity.
      Diseases die because they cannot spread and this usually happens two ways. It either dies because your immune system kills it, or it dies with the host(the infected). The goal is to make sure it dies because of our immune system before it spreads and this happens much easier the more people who are vaccinated, because vaccines do not only help you fight of disease, but they make you less contagious as well.
      I do not have children but if I do and they die or suffer permanent damage because I vaccinated them, I'd of course be very sad, but I would've still made the rational and responsible choice. Not vaccinating puts both the public and my potential child at risk. Mandatory vaccinations should be the law because it's a public safety issue.

    • @mchobbit2951
      @mchobbit2951 Před 5 lety +16

      Here is the thing- if I don't want to use a seat belt, I can not use cars. I don't live in the US so using public transport, where I don't need a seat belt, is an option. It is more annoying? Well, possibly but it's an option. Do I have an option like this to escape forced vaccination?
      Besides that, a seat belt is not a medical procedure. Neither is a car seat, or a helmet or not texting while driving and the like. Besides that, seat belts don't have aluminium, aborted fetal cells and monkey kidney cells in them.
      NOBODY should be allowed to tell me to do something that could kill or maim my child and then leave ME responsible for it. That's how it is here in France. I wanted five or six children, now I'm ready to get sterilised so I don't accidentally get pregnant. They want you to vaccinate and if the child dies or is forever damaged, they don't help you and they don't give a flying fuck. You're on your own with a damaged child who gets to go to a home for the handicapped when you die.
      Maybe the lovely "immune compromised" people we all vaccinate for should have to open their homes to vaccine damaged adults whose parents died and take care of them since they became like that to protect them.
      What really grates on my nerves is that you care enough about a small population of allergic and immune compromised people to sacrifice the lives and health of HEALTHY people who "protect" them? These people that are already sick matter more than a perfectly healthy child who would live a long, happy life you didn't interfere? This shit is playing good and choosing who is more important. To you, the most important people are those who cannot be vaccinated (which, according to the CDC, most of them actually can. Even chemo patients can be vaccinated with everything but live vaccines).
      If you are okay with this it's because you have no child. NO mother would sacrifice her child for a stranger. NOBODY! You wouldn't donate your living child's kidney to a stranger even though organ donation saves lives, would you? No, because it could very well negatively effect the life of your child, who is now healthy and perfect. People who vaccinate simply think that stuff like this happens to other, unlucky people but never to you. If they thought it could happen to their child, they wouldn't vaccinate.

      Keana Allen That means nothing. The same pharma companies create medications like insulin and Ashthma inhalers and defibrillators etc that save millions of lives year after year. You think just because they don’t do it for free that means they are trying to kill your kids? Does it mean there isn’t any independent safety regulation involved ? what are legislative bodies that make laws to strictly regulate safe drug manufacturing get out of it then ? What kind of idiot actually thinks this makes any sense or means anything? Who does anything, manufactures anything, or gives anything out for free? Do you not realize there is a cost to make vaccines for millions of people? To test their safety and effectiveness? Do you think the thousands upon thousands of medical scientists, researchers, and production employees making vaccines don’t need to be paid a fucking decent salary to live off of? Or should they starve while making vaccines for your children bc somehow that makes it safer to people like you? That pharma companies make vaccines for profit has literally nothing to do with anything. Making a profit from a product has especially nothing to do with how safe that product is. The manufacturer is not solely responsible for deciding if it’s safe- there are laws and regulations in place to force them to spend whatever they have to and lose whatever profit they would lose in order to make it safe. Of course they do it for a profit, do people who own pharmaceutical companies owe you free shit in order to convince you it’s safe? It would be less safe when the pharma companies have no stake in it and nothing to gain or lose from making safe medication, even if laws weren’t in place , regulative bodies to ensure safety compliance didn’t exist, tons of independent and governmental oversight wasn’t involved, and a shit ton of liability wasn’t attached to force them to a high safety standard anyway, which there very obviously is.
      So What’s YOUR alternative? That pharma companies ceos spend the money out of their personal pocket in order to manufacture medicine for free ? Why tf would anyone do that? How would that even work? They just bankrupt themselves into the ground to make products at zero profit - no I’m sorry, that’s impossible- at a LOSS, just so that they can make free shit for you? Seriously, what’s your actual point? Do you really think it’s profitable for drug manufacturers to sell vaccines that kill kids ? Do you really not have enough brain cells to figure out that it would actually run a drug company into the ground and cause them to go through lawsuit after lawsuit til they were broke if their product was actually linked to killing, debilitating, or hurting children ? That no one would buy that product and/or it would be immediately taken off the market?
      And I’m pretty sure no ones bottom line is the dollar if that dollar requires killing children, I mean if they cared that little and somehow passed all safety regulation and independent studies didn’t show a link between a pharma product and children’s deaths, would they really need to kill and poison and disable children to make a profit? It would make more sense to make vaccines that don’t do what they say they do - THAT, actually, would kill millions upon millions more kids if that was what they wanted for whatever dumb reason, and it would be because the kids die from the diseases that real vaccines actually do prevent, not from the actual product- and they would still make the same amount of money wouldn’t they? Oh wait no, that would be quickly figured out and pulled off the market, just like if vaccines actually hurt kids in real life, but they are still being given to kids bc they don’t, they are extremely SAFE. Obviously they make pharmaceuticals in order to make a profit like literally every one else who makes anything and sells it, they aren’t a charity, but that doesn’t mean they freely mutilate children with their products with no oversight and nothing stopping them, and it’s not like there is any money in doing so anyway. So let’s not pretend like there isn’t plenty of regulation involved that would stop these psycho, homicidal, child - mutilating, greedy pharma companies you made up in your head even if they did exist. So what’s your point here? What’s your alternative ? What do people who say stupid shit like this want to change about it ?

      That is because they can have side effects, such as a minor headache, slight weakness, numbness and, possibly worst, a rash. If i had kids i would much rather my children die horribly of a wombo-combo from measles, mumps, rubella and gonorrhoea than get a headache. My school gets people to vaccinate the entire school (of 1500) and at least 1/100 got a slight numbness in the place of vaccination and 1 person got a headache, the rest were fine but as you can see a huge problem, 1/100 get slight numbness (a crippling side effect that can cause death or in worst case scenario autism) and 1/1500 got a headache (something that clearly, painfully melts the brain and makes your liquid brain leak out of every orifice of your body).

      It doesn't work that way. Every single person who got the measles last year didn't get vaccinated. Germs can travel quickly through a community and make a lot of people sick. If enough people get sick, it can lead to an outbreak. But when enough people are vaccinated against a certain disease, the germs can’t travel as easily from person to person - and the entire community is less likely to get the disease. This is why when you travel overseas you need to get vaccines that are not required in the United States.

    After 2 years of research, I decided at the time when I gave birth to not vaccinate my child. In the beginning the doctor made it seem like I was putting my child at risk, later she said she doesn’t want to see my kid on days when she has her vaccinated kids around the same time because he was a risk to them. But if the vaccination is so great, shouldn’t they be safe from him? And she mentioned most of these children have grave illnesses like cancer, and other disorders… mind you these are the vaccinated children! I know we are all doing our best to protect our children but when the only responses you can give my legitimate questions are intimidation and using fear as a tool to make me cave, you’re not doing your job. (By the way doctors are not even taught about the details, just what to give for what, schedules as to when to give them and told to us fear if necessary to convince parents) I already knew that so when she used the card it was funny to watch. Any rare reaction to vaccines is as nothing compared to what the actual infectious disease causes in the general population. People need to stop thinking as if they magically exist apart from the world. If a child is unable to tolerate exposure to a weakened vaccine = imagine how they might react upon simply being infected with the actual illness.
      If a few dozen are hospitalized out of a million doses of say MMR administered = actual Measles alone used to send tens of thousands to the hospital each year before there was an MMR vaccine - it is a matter of historical record. So one outcome or the other will take place - making the one impacting the least number the best outcome society can hope for.

They CANNOT be trusted. I think they are taught in medical school that their word is like god's and they just get angry if you ask the hard questions. If they don't have the answer, they just make up one. If you don't just nod and do whatever they say - go on whatever drug they say, they get angry. I do respect trauma docs and surgeons, but the average run of the mill physician has become little more than a drug pusher. "Physician, heal thyself." most of them can't even do that.

      +shygirl75158 Did you really? When was this? Because thimerosal hasn't been in vaccines for over fifteen years. And again, even when it was there, there was no evidence of any meaningful side effects. Yes, one in every 100,000 kids might have an allergic reaction to the vaccine, but that's still much better than the tens of thousands of kids who used to die from measles and polio and smallpox.

    • @shygirl75158
      @shygirl75158 Před 8 lety +1

      +SuperSupermanX1999 Again, you have been sadly misinformed. Multi-dose flu vaccines STILL contain the full complement of mercury per dose. Go read the freaking package inserts! And it is impossible to say "for over fifteen years" when my child was poisoned with it in 2001. And I strongly urge you to read the "EXTRACTION" disclaimers at the bottom of several non-live virus vaccines.

      @SuperSupermanX1999 Před 8 lety +2

      shygirl75158 They really don't. Again, thimerasol is *not* the same as mercury, just like wood and chicken are not the same as carbon. You clearly have no idea how chemical compounds work. No vaccine has ever contained pure mercury.
      And again, you child wasn't poisoned. The most they will have had is a severe allergic reaction to the vaccine, which is something doctors recognize can occasionally happen, but is so rare that the negatives are far outweighed by the positives, such as how you don't get smallpox anymore.

    • @beverlystone4513
      @beverlystone4513 Před 8 lety +1

      +SuperSupermanX1999 - 1 in 10,000 kids died in the U.S. and U.K. from measles in the years PRIOR to measles vaccination. (Smallpox vaccines only every reached 10% of the population and eventually that vaccine was removed because it was so deadly.) The CDC is so desperate to make measles look bad that they have to include statistics from third world countries where severely malnourished children are vulnerable to all kinds of illnesses including measles (and would surely benefit from more from nutrition than a toxic shot).

      @@MegaCocoa11 The MMR vaccine is given (as first dose) at around 15 months of age. Autism is usually diagnosed at around the same age. It is natural to connect two completely separate things that happen at the same time. Correlation does not equal causation. Vaccines have been debunked as a cause of Autism by many studies. Debunked by which studies? It is more prevalent as it is being diagnosed more. Did you know that the Autistic Spectrum is very broad from high functioning to low functioning. Kanner thought that Autism is rare and only affects severely disabled. Which means many autistic people on the higher end of the autistic spectrum missed diagnosis. The reason Autism seems more prevalent as it is well known and it is quite common for adults to be diagnosed with Autism as before the diagnosis of Autism was very narrow. This is because they didn’t include higher end of Autistic Spectrum.
      The vaccine which seems to be blamed for the cause of Autism by antivaxxers is MMR but MMR never had Mercury in it. Aluminium in vaccines have a very small dose. In Chemistry the dose makes the poison.

    I also remember in the early 60's in school when everyone got that vaccination on their arm, the one that left a scar,. but somehow I think I missed that vaccination because I have no scar and no memory of it.
    When I was young I played in the dirt a lot. Nowadays every kid avoids dirt and this is very bad for building a healthy immune system.
    I got sick with the measles, mumps, chicken pox, and flu. All of these illnesses ran their courses and I didn't die. Just like generations before me didn't die.
    My adult life, however, has been virtually devoid of any serious health issues and I believe it is because I was sick as a child and developed a strong immune system by letting my body fight the disease naturally.
    That one speaker is correct when she says we are trading off our childhood normal sicknesses by vaccinations and weakening our immune systems overall only to be sick as adults. Fuck Big Pharma. Their only motive is profit.

    Late to the party BUT in the early 2000's I saw a huge change in my daughter following her second or so series of vaccinations (def MMRI series, plus others). Such a huge change that I literally waited extra long before getting the remainder. I wanted her little body to metabolize all the first. I started to think about it all. My older children born in the early to mid 1990's had the same series of shots and at that time Autism was around 1 in 1500, now it is 1 in 150. Huh?! What changed. One thing that changed was a public health campaign "Immunize by 2, its up to you". When I was a child we didn't finish the vaccine series until kindergarten, same with my older children. Now they want the series finished by 2 years old?! Maybe we are giving way to small of bodies way to much immunization way to early in their developing bodies? Simple thought. Makes sense to me. Which is why when I saw the change I pulled the plug and waited. I had the courage to tell the pediatricians that I wasn't anti anything, I was just going to do it my way and listen to my own mom instinct. More people should have this level of courage. I definitely think that there is something to the vaccines (immunize by 2) and the increase of Autism. I also think there are so many toxins in our environment today we have no idea how poisoned we all are on a daily basis. Sad state of affairs no matter how you shape it. And in the end who benefits? The healthcare and pharmaceutical industry selling us the cure to the ailment we were sold in the first place.

    I am 31 years old. I’ve had the chicken pox like any other child born before 1988 the worst thing I’ve been infected with is the whooping cough. In 3rd grade. Sucked. But I’m here Thanks🙏 to my grandpa for being a chiropractor and teaching my parents back in the 70s I was born with an immune system for a reason

    I find it funny that it seems hardly anyone is questioning the fact that maybe it isn't so much the autism rate is skyrocketing, it's the rate of recognition. As public health awareness increases, so does the amount of people that go to the doctor, thus getting their kid diagnosed. Up until a few years ago, you didn't want your kid to be diagnosed, even if they have a disorder for the simple fact that society will look down on them. Now, it is accepted. "Oh, you have ADHD? So does my best friend" this can also be said about most major learning disorders. And another thing, in all honesty, I would rather my child run the risk of autism than run the risk of DEATH.

      True. Where i am from, ADHD and Autism are not recognized as diseases by society. when my nephew showed symptoms of autism, people told her to not worry because they know someone who acted the same way and he is fine now. In both cases, autism went undiagnosed, but that didn't mean they didn't have autism back then, people simply had a different concept of what a disease is.

      Dylan Jackson - Plus, didn't they expand the definition of autism? Aspergers is a fairly new diagnosis. Why is it they are shocked that there are more autism numbers when they expanded the definition.

      That shows your complete ignorance of autism. If there's more recognition, where are all the adults with autism who weren't diagnosed?

      I volunteered at and then worked at a state funded school/workshop for the disabled in the 70's into the eighties. The facility would have from 1500 to 2000 clients in any given year. We saw Down's, blindness, deafness and cognitive disabilities. I never saw a single person with autism until 1980 - a man in his late twenties. I can still picture him perfectly as it was so different from anything I'd ever seen. It is NOT "better diagnosis." If they had existed at the rate they do today, I would have seen them. Even all the speech therapists and other therapists I come in contact with over the last 16 years - they all know something is horribly wrong. People better wake up. Vaccine Injury WILL at some point affect your lives and your loved ones.
