I used to like the show, the first season or so. But then they changed the flavor of the relationships. The wife became more snarky with her husband and sided more and more with the neighbor. I found that unpleasant. A little of it was funny in the beginning, but it became a major theme between the two of them, always basically rolling their eyes together at her husband.
Same here, after being pleasantly surprised after watching Terry and June, I gave this a chance too... Hated it, unpleasant characters, some things I remember I'll leave in the 80s... This series is one of those things right up their with rats tail haircuts.
I never liked the neighbour Paul, a bully towards Martin and Anne didn’t help by having a crash on the wannabe playboy neighbour.
Martin was nasty and cold to Paul too though and patronising to Anne . Paul did save his marriage too and offered him a job when he was in dire needs
Looks like a Bradford City tie. Must be a shit club.
