Poor old Martin. He thinks Paul has everything. What he fails to see is that Paul does not have the one thing he really wants, which Martin will always have. Ann.
@ Alice Anderson You are absolutely right. Anne adores Martin (even though she may complain from time to time - quite understandably!), and it is such a shame that Martin cannot see how lucky he really is, especially in comparison with Paul. Beautiful programme!
While I tend to agree with your comments on Paul.... you and I both know that if Anne were to accept his mild advances he'd be up her like a rat up a drainpipe. "Friendship" with Martin wouldn't come into it. That's why he's a smirking git.
Howard & Hilda brilliant !
To think there used to be people like that back in the old days lol

Beautiful programme!
The whole series is a wonderful parody of what life is like for childless couples.

5:42 brilliant!
If you freeze it at 1:00 you’ll see it’s actually onside.
Poor decision
Don't you just want poor Martin to punch Lawrence (Dopey) Tredwell in the face...
He was offside.
Paul really is a smirking git
