- In 'Cadeaux at the Chateau', all of the inhabitants of the Chateau de Lalande gather together to open beautiful gifts that people have sent from all over the world. All of the monetisation from these videos will be donated to a different charity each month. CZcams earnings fluctuate wildly each month, as ad revenue changes throughout the year. Here are the charities that we've donated to so far:
July 2020:
British Heart Foundation UK (in memory of my father) €634

I used to show the gifts as part of ' @The Chateau Diaries ' episodes, but you're all so very generous that we have many gifts, and if we spent the episodes opening them, we wouldn't be able to show you other aspects of chateau life! So, for those of you who enjoy watching presents being opened, and as a way to thank those of you who were kind enough to send them, I've made this new channel. Every week we will film your beautiful gifts whilst enjoying afternoon tea or aperitif together.
It is very important to me that you know that we in no way expect anyone to send us gifts. I would like to go further than that and add that, if doing so will put you in any financial difficulty whatsoever, please, please do not send us anything. Knowing that you join us by watching 'The Chateau Diaries' gives us all an enormous boost. But for those of you who have sent these incredibly thoughtful gifts, I hope that seeing us open them gives you a fraction of the joy that you've given us 💖💖💖

It’s going to be a sad day when Cadeaux ends…so much fun to see what people send to you, especially the things they make.

They should just carry on with it and give what they don’t absolutely love to the charity shop or sell in their store, I’ve just started doing that myself with things I’ve been given over the years but haven’t got the storage space for so need to declutter, if it’s not incredibly special & something I really really love off it goes to the donation pile lol 😁

It will stop at the end of this year. Stephanie said they will still donate to various charities.
I agree with one of your other comments. When I saw so many amazing cards, one is hand sewn, I immediately thought of a wall full of those unique and beautiful cards that would be so hard to throw away. It would be a memory as well as the most unique wallpaper design ever! You are all so blessed! ❤️🙏

Hello and a big shout out to all of you. Love you and follow you on this journey has been a marvel every step of the way. I keep saying that the chateau is like the Phoenix. She will rise from her ashes and the glory she will be again.❤ All of you work so wonderful together and it is grueling work and it is work that never ends so it comes down to what you already know. You are the keepers of the chateau and she is a lifetime of upkeep for all to enjoy and to continue to work and keep her looking her grand self. I'm going to miss chateau unwrapped when it stops. It got me through several low points in my life but enough of that now. Thank you Stephanie and all the family. God bless you all 🙏

adeaux in my home today. My cat brought me a mouse in the depth of night. Now I have to impress upon him that its his task to find it again. Not to sleep cozy to the song of rain on the roof.
I noticed black scorch marks on my coffee table ,shocked to see it was the hot summer sun reflecting on a Chrystal in the window actually burning it ,I had never realised this could happen ,
While watching I thought the exact thing, crystals can do that

Stephanie and crew... back in 2020 I hand made an oak Chateau de La Lande sign that was featured in an early Cadeaux episode. I really had hoped to see it make an appearance somewhere. I would love to know where it ended up.
If I had to guess - and I do - I would say they are holding on to it prior to completing the renovation of the exterior walls of the chateau.
Hopefully! I put serious time into it and not that I have an expectation that it be displayed front and center, but it would be nice to know it was in use or at least part of a plan.

Speaking of "Eating Onions" - an embarrasing admission for one of my secret favorite films (that my wife cannot stand) is "Holmes and Watson" (Will Ferrell + John C. Reilly) - when they eat the whole onion, I laugh until I cry at that scene. I blame the onion.

Best bedbug tip I have heard is to always keep your luggage in the bathtub or shower. But NOT while bathing. Ha!
