Having kid actors on set is difficult, so they chose to keep her in the shadows for a while, she reprises the role in S4 now that the twins are older. So Holly is in more scenes.
@@buffeeyy Pretty sure Ted's character is written to be an asshole. He was being a douche during the conversation. He decided he was going to turn everything on Mike as if it was normal. Nancy stormed away and he said "take this as a lesson, Michael." When he didn't even do anything, which made Mike angrily leave the table, so Karen got upset. In season 3 it's more clear that Karen and Ted's relationship is going down-hill for a while, but I'm pretty sure Ted's character was/is originally an asshole.

Am I the only going to mention the lack of compassion Nancy showed for her brother here? She shouldn't even want to go out she should want to be around to support Mike when one of his best friends is freaking missing.
If I even attempted to talk like that to my parents I'd be eating through a straw. My mother would have nailed me with a hairbrush before I even finished one of those words lol.
