Always love your reaction to PTX videos. They're genuine, fun, and always a highlight of my day watching your jaw drop in awe or listening to your giggle...makes me laugh. As I watched this video I honed in on the base parts because I was and still am a huge Avi fan... so I was a little nervous. Have to say Matt hit a home run and I was quite pleased with this live version. I really don't think they could have found anyone better to fill Avi's shoes and this just proves it!
Your next review should be their new original release, Please Santa Please. Kristen is FABULOUS and can definitely give Mariah Carey a run for Christmas music Queen!

Pentatonix doing this one LIVE is EPIC !!! this is the measuring rod of talent. IF you can do this sort of song as good as PTX just did then you Deserve the highest title available in Music. #1, Master, Grammy Award, Masters of Performing Arts..... whatever there is, THEY HAVE IT !!!! OMG so glad to watch you watch this!! I really want to recommend *My Heart With You* for another stunning live skill a'capella masterclass. It's the video where they're standing around a light, no mics in hands, and Scott talks in the beginning about how they were so inspired by the song and he's going to cry. It's the inspiration for Run to You and blows everything out of the water.

My friend, I too am jealous of all those in the audience. I am a 67 years old disabled woman living in a nursing home. I would give my eye teeth to see them live! They have even been near me in Ohio, and I couldn’t get there! Keep you eyes ope. They will probably have another European tour in the not to distant future.

There are no instruments and at some point Scott, Mitch and Kirsty are singing completely different songs. This song always amazes me... They amaze me in general but this and 90's medley always have me shooked. Great reaction. I can't wait for you to see more live performances.
I just turned 90 so seeing them in person is not an option. I live in central Montana so the closest city would be Denver or Seattle maybe. I first saw them on the Sing Off and have been a Pentaholic ever since. I watch their videos on my IPad and listen to their cds.❤To me they are in a class by themselves when it comes to giving out awards. Sometimes when I am in a somber mood then Run to You, Take My Heart With You are great to listen to. But most of the time I just sit back and feel the music. They are simply the best. And we are The Lucky Ones to be able to hear their music.

I notice differences that make it better. Scott goes off on riffs that are different in one show to another and Matt always goes lyrically beyond somewhere. And the rest just keep continuity. I think instead of “no difference” you are hearing instant harmonic continuity.

Would love to see you react to Scott Hoying’s (from ptx) ep Parallel. It has no skips imo. The videos for Mars (official and choir versions), Parallel video, and Four (official video and live from his wedding) are fantastic. He has hinted that a video will come out for every song on the ep.

I have seen them in concert 4 times. 3 regular concerts and 1 Christmas concert. They are amazing live. I love your reactions and I hope you can one day see them in concert. It makes no sense that 5 people can sound that great without any instruments. A few songs they do use the cello or piano. Not very often...... My favorite live performance is Aha Singapore Live Star Vista. Also, Carol of the Bells live from their Christmas Under the Stars special 2022. It is incredible!

I saw them for the second time in September. Amazing show! The live versions of AHA, Hallelujah, Bohemian Rhapsody, Daft Punk, Sound of Silence and all other songs were spot on! Mitch was on fire!! They all were! If you ever get a chance to see them live, DO IT! No Disappointments whatsoever!
I finally saw them this September my gosh to hear Mitch’s beautiful voice in person was amazing, Kevin came from a different planet I’m pretty sure lol. Kristen gave me chills Scott is just perfect and Matt wow wow I was so amazing how deep he gets and I think sometimes we miss that they were perfect. Thank you for your reactions of ptx . I think this track and Hallelujah are the two they've performed the most times live. Almost every show they include these since they're the most popular, surely over 100 live performances each let alone the hundreds more of rehearsal ✨

You definitely need to go to a concert. It is beyond amazing. I saw them during their Christmas tour last year. Everyone knows that they are extremely talented, but you just do not realize that they are superhuman until you see them live. Videos of live performances are good, but it is still a recording and you miss a lot of the soul.

My favorite live version is from the song "Standing by". It is an original.
They are seriously the 8th Wonder of the World!! You need to listen to their 90’s Dance Medley from this concert, and then the audio recording of Kiss From a Rose from their recently released Christmas album. If you don’t know the original by Seal, listen to that first. Their cover is beyond words….just no English words to accurately describe the epic-ness of it!! 💜

It blew me away when I first found them in High School and I admire this about PTX and another acapella group called Voiceplay. It's *ALL* them. No extra equipment, no instruments, no nothing. It's *ALL* their voices and that's what makes it incredible. I pray one day. One day, I'll be able to see these amazing people live and I hope the same to u one day.

If you havent seen it... watch the Sing off for their season (all the seasons are good...) Mixing their voices and the music is an integral part of their style.

Um, the music video budget was $400. Recorded in a closet and filmed in Avi and Kevin's kitchen. And then they edited the video on their laptop. They did their own makeup, hair, and wardrobe. They were smart.
You really need to react to the Aha! Singapore star Vista. The ultimate Mitch slap.
My fave live of theirs is that private room meet n greet, where they did Daft Punk without microphones or anything -- was just recorded on the guy's mobile. They were still able to do those EDM vocals with glitch effects and all ... with only their voices.

I was lucky enough to see them live years ago early in their career when Avi was still part of the group (they came to the Alaska State Fair). I haven’t seen them since, now that they are touring again this summer and Matt has joined the group it is time to try and see them live again. I’ve moved cities so gotta check the schedule and see if they’ll be in my area! They are so incredible live!!

My very favorite live performance is "Can You Feel the Love Tonight" from the 2021 Yale Livestream. They are posted on the PTX Weekly News (PWN) channel. You can really see what each of them is doing much better than in the official video.
It really is that good. My favorite is Can’t Sleep love from PopSpring 2016, you have done it. But also Misbehavin. There is a radio station video live version and there is also one of their cover of Ride which is mind blowing.
I've seen this medley a hundred times, both the MV, live performances and through numerous reactors. I've seen this live personally three times. And it never ceases to amaze me. They've been performing this since 2014, I believe, so muscle memory could be playing a major role..btw, Avi has performed this for almost 4 years, Matt for 6 years.
I saw them in concert in August and it was EVERYTHING!!!! It was interesting to see/hear Matt live signing the songs we're used to that were Avi's part....and he did fantastic. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to see the concert in its entirety as my sister had a seizure and we had to go to medical and didn't hear it all. BUT.....this was amazing and I will be seeing them again! I hope you're able to as well!

I'm so happy you are still reacting to them. I just discovered them a couple months ago and you are my favorite reactor and your reactions are so authentic. Especially Superfruits Rise by Katy Perry . I can't wait for more. One of my personal favorites is Ariana Grande's Problem 3 FM live performance. And of course Aha. That one can't be outdone.

I don't know if you know them or if anyone ever requested them before, they're not particularly well-known, but I would love to see you reacting to my favourite band, VNV Nation. The songs I'd recommend in particular are Control and Beloved, and specifically live versions of Nova and All Our Sins.

Even the original wasn't recorded in a studio. The audio was recorded in one of their closets that had good acoustics and the video was recorded in one of their kitchens - they bought a set of black bed sheets to create a sort of photo booth.
Because they are human, there’s always a few flaws, but they’re slight, most people would never know the difference. Check out the live performance they did on PBS, Seasons of Love. Kirstie just blows the roof off (if there was one) the place with a C6!

❤ You have the best reactions. I have watched this like 4 times today. I forgot to say on my first post you should listen to Thank You. An original by Scott and his partner Mark. During the pandemic. I have heard the first verse was to thank Mark, the second verse was a thank you to his PTX family and the last verse a thank you to their fans. It is a gorgeous song PTX used/ uses social media extensively and has always loved their You Tube fans. The pandemic causes many life changes and staying home was part of it. We all still had social media and PTX seemed to thrive reaching their fans. I promise you will love the song. Oh, you have done about 50 reactions. There are well over 200 songs and you will still be amazed at number 200. Their 5th Grammy nomination was just announced for 2024 ( they won 3 of the 4 previous nominations.) Nominated for Best Traditional Pop Album for their album Holidays Around the World. ( Not the new album just released, but the one before it). They are up against Bruce Springsteen with his Only The Strong Survive. ❤❤

Loved you reaction as always. I watch with eager anticipation for your PTX reactions because I lve them more than any other reactors. They are phenomenal live and apart from their insane talent, I truly believe that the reason they are are so good is because of the fact that they are wonderful human beings and love each other and their fans so much.
They and we are a family. In terms of live ones that you've reacted to, you've done Aha in Singapore and a couple of their Hollywood Bowl ones. What I would love you to react to the 24/7 interview and live performance of their original Love Again (which I know you loved on the video version).
