    I just wanted to say THANK YOU for this video. I just setup my Journeyman X50 and without this video, I am sure I would have been very frustrated. While OneFinity did well with packaging and personal touches, there was nothing to guide you along with the setup process. After the setup was complete, I did open the sticker package and found a card that in fine print directed you to an online manual. But with your video, i didn’t even need to check the manual. Thanks again!!!

    This is the best video on the internet on how to assemble a Onefinity CNC router. The Onefinity manufacturer should have hired you to demonstrate how to setup their product. The lighting, sound, camera/editing, and presentation was excellent. If it wasn't for the the cost, I would buy one.

    So if I could give you a thousand likes, I would. Thank you for making this video. I am about to pull the trigger on this machine and watched another set up video that while humorous, it was very disorganized feeling and I was beginning to experience serious self doubt. Your video took all of this and re-organized the chaos I saw in my brain from the previous video and now I'm excited again...lol. This is not a cheap investment, so a lot of consideration has gone into this for me, so again, thank you.

    Great video. Your set up is almost exactly like I envisioned my set up. Question: was it absolutely necessary to flatten the waste boards with a router bit? MDP is dead flat so I would think you can go as is.

    • @DoingWhatever
      @DoingWhatever  Pƙed rokem

      Thanks!
      You'd think that MDF is very flat and consistent but there was about 1/8" difference from front to back. Not sure if that was the MDF or the plywood top or what, but I would run a flattening pass on the waste board - you might be surprised at the inconsistency. Thanks for watching!

    • @DoingWhatever
      @DoingWhatever  Pƙed 2 lety +2

      Thanks! That edge is the part of the wasteboard that’s outside the limits of my machine’s cutting area. You could avoid this by making a smaller wasteboard, or by using a hand plane or sander to level the perimeter with the rest of the board. I just used a hand plane to level that out. Great question! Thanks for watching 😃

    Question. Why mount the CNC to the table, then put channel and MDF down, then flatten VS. Putting a sheet of MDF down, mounting the CNC to that & the table, and using the CNC to route out the slots for the channel and flatten the MDF? Won't your method take away ~3/4" of z access and take a lot longer?

    • @DoingWhatever

      @@DoingWhatever after a bit more review I think I'm going with the Journeyman (32x48) just so I don't have to upgrade later. From what you said in the video I think that should still fit on the 48x72 table.
      Cheers!

      I bought the X-50 Woodworker so I'm assuming they're 50mm in diameter.

    This is a Pile of shit. Sent mine back. Constantly dropped during projects. Don't buy this garbage. Customer service was garbage also.

      Sorry to hear that.. I’ve had very good luck with mine so far. Had one hiccup, but it ended up being user error.

      Obviously you either had a bad experience or your expectations are too high. This is a great machine at this price point. Customer service has been nothing but stellar for me considering how busy they are fulfilling orders and actually listening to customer feedback. What issues did you actually have? Blanket statements like POS hardly contribute anything to folks that are trying to make smart decisions. Try being more specific in an effort to validate your comment.
