Miami semi-final 2017 vs Federer. Three tie-breakers. Three hours. Yes he lost but that didn't matter. Best match of the decade.
After his 4-set defeat to Berdych at the Australian Open, he came to Marseille some several weeks later and proceeded to straight set Gasquet, Berdych (avenging the defeat at AO), and Cilic to claim his maiden title (and all three players had and/or went on to produce a very strong 2016 year as well). It was one heck of a way to bounce back and to proceed to make a 1st title breakthrough.
I remember this tournament: Nick was unplayable.
