Using a normal static wallpaper instead of a live wallpaper will give a bit of performance and save battery life
Im very happy with RG556, And i was very impressed when i got Ninja Gaiden Segma switch version to run perfectly at 60 fps 🤯

Desktop mode is crazy! Thank you for showing that! Do you usually set it up with mouse on a screen like I see on many setup tutorial videos or just touchscreen?
I usually set it up with a dualsense which can control the mouse via the touchpad!
The analog sticks issue has to be intentional. Whoever is doing it, clearly only tests with 2d emulated games and doesn't realize the device can do much more.
the creators of handhelds and phone controllers deliberately release new editions over the years to maintain continuous sales. People keep buying these products, even though they are often flawed, allowing the business to keep growing.

Recently had mine delivered and the left speaker is dead. Seems to be quite a few reports of this over on Reddit. I’ve created a ticket with Anbernic but they haven’t replied yet. I’m thinking if I’ve got to open it up to replace the speaker, I may as well get the thumbsticks changed as well 🤷♂️
It could be a bad connection to the pads that makes contact with the motherboard
Open it up clean the pads and bend the legs a bit to make better contact

Joey's retro handhelds channel tried this but it didn't make it better
The sticks problem is on the anbernic software and it's up to them to fix it
According to Joey, it did make it better (check his replacement video at around 2:30 for his comments)

Hey guys, I just got my rg556 and I seem to be having an issue with the triggers. For whatever reason the console thinks that when the triggers aren’t being pressed that they are being pressed. For games like Zelda you need to press the trigger to target lock enemies but right now with how the console is operating I need to hold down the trigger just so that link isn’t constantly target locking everything. Any fix ?
I think theres a configuration in the game for that

The system recalibrates itself everytime it it restarts

Vicious screen door effect, and the stutter on Switch emulation was really bad.
Baseline if it cant run Genshin and at least screen record I can’t use it.
Looks cool and seems thick enough to actually be comfortable though. So that’s a plus.
Gotta give it to them, the video out options are pretty good. And better than an iPhone.
Would prefer a decent tablet or gaming laptop over this though.
Gulikit should make an adapter for the Hall Effect joy con sticks for this. Or another third party could do it. IJS
the flickering on the screen is only visible on the camera because of the refresh rate, in real life it doesn't show any flickering
No point in emulating switch imo. I have a couple games on mine and they work fine but I honestly don’t know why you wouldn’t just buy a switch. Genshin works great on it and the video out is great as well. The streaming works well. I’ve used it with my PlayStation. I recommend installing ES-DE or Dijisho. The stock is is typical Anbernic. With ES-DE I set it as my home app using some other apps but it was pretty easy and worth it imo. I am replacing the sticks soon. Playing my favorite game, SSX3, the precision is not there. It’s playable and still fun but it makes for some difficult turns.
@@o.g.awe3785 For less than $200 USD it's a great device. I was able to get it for $167 total back in late March from AliExpress. I replaced the launcher with Daijisho and used 2 other apps to freeze the RG Launcher and set the button to launch Daijisho.
One thing to note is that it can't do display output and charge at the same time. Anbernic has confirmed this hardware limitation.
Yeah but honestly with that battery life it will be very hard to run out of battery even while playing
I’ve played PS2 games for 6 hours with video out to my tv. I turned the display down. The battery is very good.
Did you figure out a way to use hdmi out and charge the device at the same time? I’ve seen people are having problems trying to do that
Its a hardware limitation from it
It can only do one display output or charge fortunately the battery lasts quite a lot and you can lower the screen brightness to the max

PLEASE, what is the name of the dock that works by charging and transmitting the screen? Ambernic themselves said it wasn't possible on the official website, so even they didn't know it was just compatibility.

Its because of the camera that the screen flickers

Ludzie oko przeważnie nie widzi tego migotania, ale niektórzy ludzie są wrażliwi, i mają dyskomfort z tego powodu (ból oczu, głowy, migrena) A czy mogę Cię prosić, żebyś sprawdził w ustawieniach ekranu taką opcję "luminous eye protection" ? Może ta opcja zlikwiduje to migotanie? Wielkie dzięki za pomoc :)

it's ok it won't charge faster though, it always trigger normal charging
Genshin Impact can't sustain high 60fps on newer areas (Sumeru & Fontaine). Best is medium 45fps with heavy effects, with this setting also helps to play even longer and perfect on the small screen.

That Prince of Persia footage looks enticing, but it's misrepresentative. Performance is much better in the first training area than when you get into the game proper. It's still playable, but with significant slowdowns.
You can probably lower the resolution a bit and it will run better
Your voice level is very low but the gaming noise is very loud. You need to make it the other way around. If we adjust the volume so we can hear you the game sound is deafening loud! If we adjust the volume for that then we cannot hear your voice

@@alifarsani2469 its the same for all my videos, when I speak I cut the volume of the games entirely and after I'm done talking I raise the volume again, you can see it at 22:18

I have no problem with the analog sticks. You say the d pad is great. It's not. It's so slippery with a slick finish that your thumb slides all over the place. What a stupid thing for Anbernic to do. Why makes a glossy/slippery dpad?
My thumb doesn't slip at all
But you have to agree that it isn't hard to press and the diagonals register pretty accurately
There are tons of worse dpads on other controllers, believe me

Too bad that anbernic chose a crapy soc for this console, it has amazing ergonomics, a great screen, a cheap ass soc. Sold mine in less than a week
The SoC is powerful enough to play at least 98% of GameCube games at native resolution and 90% if not 95% of PS2 games at native resolution at full speed. Plus you have power efficiency. How is this a crappy SoC!?
