Thanks for sharing the best shaders for this screen (5.5" 1080p amoled)! I was searching on google and reddit on the best shaders that would look nice on this screen, but popular shaders that worked on the common 640x480 screens or 720p/4k shaders that worked for LCD screens don't look nice on this 5.5" 1080p amoled. Really apt video title about "what nobody told you about it"!

Love the feel of all the buttons being mechanical and not rubber membrane. LB RB A B X Y and the four back buttons are all better than any controller ive tried.

I honestly think all rear paddles/buttons are kind of an afterthought. I remember they started getting popular on modded 360 controllers to cheat online and the rest is history but my point is: I dont think the modern controller design is made to have them and thats why no one has got them exactly right. I mean just think about it. They are in a spot where you are supposed to grab the controller to have grip and firmness, most of the time dont give space to let your fingers rest (like here) when not using them AND a lot of them just straight up break. To integrate them better probably a whole controller redesign would be required but I highly doubt thats happening.

Controllers are too expensive now. This one cost as much as a Switch Lite. Doesn’t even have Hall effect joysticks

I replaced the switches to hall sensors and it worked beautifully for a while then I got the 2 orange blink error. I double checked the battery connector and it seemed okay. What could be the problem?

In reality, the resistance of the potentiometers is only important for technology using the classic carbon system. The current flows from + to earth and the signal determining the position of the stick is only the current recovered by those who pass from + to earth. It subtracts current from the one already passing through it and it is this resistance which created the value and variation of the position signal. The hall effect system doesn't work like that. The current passing through the + to ground only powers a detector (the chip). This chip decides to send a stronger or weaker signal depending on the proximity of a magnetic field. It is therefore not the resistance in the component which created the variation but the chip which decides whether it sends all that is given to it to function or part of it. Ultimately, what is important for these hall effect sensors is not the resistance but the voltage. Like any other electrical device, intensity is good but if you send only half the intended voltage, your device will only work at half. Basically, chances are your sensors require a higher voltage than the controller provides, so since it's not working at its full potential, it will have trouble detecting and receiving the signal it should. It's not even something like that, he's reciting half the energy so he should detect and send half the signal, no no, he's in agony and only sends what he can. Basically, for hall effects, we forget the resistance. What matters is that the potentiometer is at the right voltage and also in the right direction. As some cultures read from left to right and others from right to left, manufacturers and even controller models do not use sensors that work in the same direction.

A while ago I bought a refurbished one and everything was fine, the touch screen had to be pressed harder for it to work correctly but for a while I noticed that the battery was discharged by itself, which is original and I never got over what problem it could have been, this happened when I turned it off and left it unused for long periods of time, then I tried charging the battery and leaving it outside the console so that the battery maintained its normal charge and I ruled out that it was the battery. Now I'm thinking about buying a new motherboard to see if it's a motherboard problem.

Great controller. The HD rumble motor look the same as the Pro Controller, but they are horizontal (on the Pro Controller they are vertical). I think it's the first third party controller with HD rumble. The Gamesir Nova was recently launched with the same HD rumble motor as the DualSense and hall effect sticks.

Bummer about the face buttons pressing flush. I was hoping in the tear down you'd say something like "put something here under the buttons to raise them slightly." That's not going to happen since you couldn't tear down. Bummer because I want a ps style layout controller. The Vader 3 Pro is amazing, but I slightly prefer the ps stick position.

This controller is alright. For the price it's good. But the materials will get your hands very sweaty and slick. The thumbsticks are a bit too tall and wide for me as well. Apparently there's no pc software, so you have to hope your game will allow you to program the extra buttons. I think of someone really wants a "pro" controller, they should spend more money for something like an xbox elite 2 with a protection plan

I got the iClever BK08 portable keyboard mainly to use with my phone, but it's a lot more portable then the one you showed in the video. The only thing it lacks is any type of lighting on the keys.
