Another good thing to stock up on is the little gas ball because once they rot out, they crack and I usually pick up equipment and that is usually cracked

Hey Doug, as a tool rental store mechanic, the only advice I want to add to your video would be to beware and stay away from Husqvarna 2 stroke engines from trimmers and hedgers. The leaf blower engines seem ok though. The common problem I see is blown keyways on the flywheel; instead of a separate key, it's a kind of conical key molded in the flywheel, which itself is made from the worst chinesium potmetal ever. Also, NO ONE on the American continent has one in stock, and neither does Husqvarna in Sweden. It has been on backorder for close to a year and a half, and the ETA date keeps being push back. I'm saying this because at first glance you tend to think it's a fuel issue because it won't start, and that it's gonna be a quick fix, but a world of hurt awaits. I also once had one run like garbage because it sucked air from the crank seals, but that's not common.

I’m kind of thinking this could become more of a side hustle as the electric trash becomes more prevalent. There’s good electric stuff out there but there’s a lot of garbage. The good stuff you’re gonna pay for. If two-stroke becomes less and less available, there’s gonna be increasing demand for used two-stroke hardware.
I wonder if it’s worth hoarding some of these parts…
Anyway props for the info, love it, very valuable…. And love the old WJ in that end shot of course.
