    very intense pace of the 800m makes almost impossible to stick around for more than a few years.if you come from the strength end then you can get a few more years like the great Willis 20 years or more

    A small number of men have broken the 1:43 barrier....but only 5 have broken the 1:42 barrier....I salute them.

      @@Donnywill11 i don't think so, he's been dealing with injury and mental setbacks, tho it'd be awesome if he did he's one of my favorite 800 runners

    I think that 1:42.05 by korir is the fastest time ever with a +50s first lap

      Tbh if he trains for WR and improved that incredible negative splitting he might be the ONE to break the WR
      But he does not want or need to he trains to be World Champion this year in Oregon

    just amazing how they grind through the last section Nigel Amos seems to be the best for longevity but Rudisha is the King let's see if he can come back

      Amos has won nothing apart from the commonwealth gold. He has a lot do to be considered even close to rudisha in any category.
