I never even knew ghost notes were a thing until I watched Mario do it live. They are subtle but add so much more to sound.

Muskular Chicken ghost notes are little tic tack notes leading in to the snare hits. They are hard to hear at first but once you see/hear them you’ll always notice them in the future

If you haven’t, you should check out remembrance, in the forest, and lizard skin. Live gojira is always better. Edit: From Mars to Sirius is one of the best albums ever created

Joe is absolutely electric in this performance, he blows my doors off. Flew cross country last year to see them at a tiny venue in North Carolina, they laid me out. Worth every penny. If you haven't seen them live then you truly need to, they will slay you, promise.
