      Bro, I swear, it doesn't because the stakes aren't even nearly as high. Just because Ireland don't really beat the AB's, for them it's a world cup final. They haven't won one and won't for at least the next 10 years. But yea. The greatest contest in world rugby that could compete with a RWC final is a springbok AB's game. That's the greatest contest in rugby. The rest of the world must just watch. 6 RWC trophies between them.

Wish my old man was here to see it, we went to most games together but he never got to see us beat them. Let's take a few games and play only Ireland trys and use the word "Dominate" the All Blacks. We'll settle for losing some games in between drinks and won't mention the one's history records Ireland have lost to the All Blacks. As with many teams you all have a long way to square the ledger, against the All Blacks. Gotta start somewhere I suppose. We may not be dominant, but we dominate the win statistics against all Countries on this planet. Would like to think we're going to waltz in and win our 4th Rugby World Cup but it don't work that way, and sure our South African buddies would have something to say about that. We don't mind being under dogs. Suits us fine.

      Exactly. Good on Ireland and good to see they’re winning, but it seems some people need to look up the meaning of dominate. It was close, no dominating. In fact of the eight games which the AB’s only won three, they scored more points than the Irish. 182 to the Irish, 201 to New Zealand. Definitely no dominating. Some tough close wins for Ireland and two big wins for new Zealand where they dominated in the scoreboard. Good to see the competition getting tougher and closer, but clearly no dominating going on.

      All most@@steuartmoore9183 add it up from 2013 and the 22-24 come from behind All Black win and the stats will say 4-5 to Ireland.
      I'll start it from there, it was the last win before Ireland won their 1st against the All Blacks which started a win/loss sequence broken by Ireland's 3rd Test, and Series win. That's remembering we own the stats before then. But it will give a true indicator that things are closer than many Irish fans think. We are chasing to square it up next time.

The last one to go is to beat NZ in a world cup game. All I want, for the WC next year is for Ireland to get rid of the constant "we bottle it at World Cup" chant and just play the best WC ever. Don't know about winning it but just have the best tournament than previous. Ireland play the only way that counters the blacks defence, the run hard and straight through the middle. The back row contest robustly forcing the blacks to commit and play simple direct patterns of attack and defence so that players know instinctively where they should be. Rugby is not complicated! Most of the rest of the world try to overcomplicated patterns as they are often defeated by the all black aura. Well done Ireland.

      Between the lame coach and a player drain I am not so sure. Rugby has been dropping in popularity in NZ for years now. Basketball is a bigger spectator sport than rugby and Rugby League has been growing for years. I've been watching the NRL and it is really exciting and gripping. Union just don't have players like Carter and McCaw anymore. From that generation you can name an entire squad of household names (Conrad Smith, Maa Nonu, etc, etc), who can you name from this one? Beauden Barret and Brodie Retallick? Retallick is injured and Barrett seems a bit off, especially being played out of position regularly. If they did something drastic, sure they might return to the old days but I am just not seeing it. This is even considering they might win in SA 2-0 or get a 1-1 result. They're lucky that they're mainly playing the small unions on their end of year tour. It's funny I am seeing Irish, French and Bok supporters all happy for them to retain Ian Foster. Lol. If they fire Foster and put in Scott Robertson they've got a chance, doesn't seem like Robertson wants the job right now though or Foster would be gone already. He wants to take over after the World Cup so he can build his own team instead of getting lumped with a bad set of players and too little time to make a difference.

    • @LeMerch
      @LeMerch Před rokem

      I think some teams just decided to pour money into their domestic game, build resources and increase the popularity and now we are seeing where that leads some teams like Ireland and France. It's just a case of them catching up. Ireland do look great and are very clinical - sport is in their DNA, they even have sports unique to them unlike most other countries that have copied sports from overseas. But France look like they will be the dominant team for a generation, they have some stars that look absolutely incredible!

      Too long hence why I didn’t make it! It’s nice to see a video where an “underdog” team actually gives some payback to a team which has been so so good over a century don’t you think?
