I got many requests to cover this one and I hope I did it justice. This is one of the first songs that got me into Adam's special technique and I think I've played it wrong for at least five years. Hell of a fun song to play, have fun!

Right? One of my favorite techniques to play on guitar. I find myself trying to force it into other songs all the time, to a fault honestly. But it's so sweet sounding!

That section at 3:46 is so satisfying when you actually get the timing down. I love how creative Adam is even if its just one note chugging. This whole song is such a showcase for squeezing as much rhythmic variance as you can out of one number (9).

Most of the covers do the intro with triplets. Your the only one I've seen actually do it right
I always love the guitar/bass sync and oddities Adam and Justin do. Primarily playing bass, it's always interesting to see the guitar parts played because they're often close, but not quite. Even the opening sequence on Jambi shows such a wonderful, powerful play on the two of them working together. Add Danny into the mix and you have an insanely well-oiled machine. When you hit the 5:20 mark in this song, the syncopation being different between the guitar & bass really creates this dynamic sound, even just on such a simple riff.
Watching them live this year was interesting because you could how Adam, Justin, & Danny are in their own spaces and little worlds, but operating with insane unison.

Adam Jones is my favorite guitar player. He may not be that talented compared to the other greats but I just love the way he plays. His sound effects are absolutely amazing and he's a team player which enhances the band as a whole.
Adam Jones greatness is evident in how unique and identifiable his sound is. Surely one of the all time greats.
Adam's riffs can be quite simple..... Until the rest of the band do their thing... A very complicated ''Jazz'' technique.....

That little riff at 1:48.... Adam explained at a Tool VIP event that, that particular riff was written by Justin. Justin came in to jam one day and was so excited with this new riff and couldn't wait to play it for the guys...... On hearing it for the first time, all Adam could think was "Come on man! LAME!!!" Ha ha ha. I loved that story.

One of the best works of tool, every time I hear this song it purifies my soul and my mind gets carried away by the beautiful and cosmic tunes. You are an amazing and great person to do this and upload it on CZcams. It would be great if you could also play rishloo's songs, it's a great band and it's something like a tool, but it's still unique. for me the best album is terras fames
