I'm sorry. there is no definitive differences in the two watches I can deduce from this video clip. Without a genuine one at hand, one would not know the difference without looking inside/having a look and cross referencing the id number ( and even with a genuine it would be near impossible to see the difference aesthetically. I am wrong, but does the clasp on the metal braceleted of the 'fake' have a plastic protective film ( is that why it's not closing crisply. In summary, this clip does not tell me anything. I have seven Rolexes ( including a deep sea), with boxes and certificates etc and if you showed me the fake I would have thought it authentic based on this clip

One difference from most replicas is they use 316 stainless while the original uses 904 i believe. I have been following the rolex replicas the last couple of years and you can buy nearly precisely identical ones both in and out. Each year they correct minor mistakes such as lettering font and depth, pearl sizing, ceramic bezel. Looks to me like Rolex has a major problem facing them, if the best copies can be had for under $500 then why spend $10,000? How good will they be in another 10 years? Or just next year?

Short of checking the serial number with Rolex, there'd be almost no easy way for most people to tell the difference and since almost nobody buying one of these is going to go deep diving anyway, one could pretty easily get away with representing the fake as real. I have both original 116660 and highest quality replica V8 904L. Both are very identical even with the 3135 movement, ticks 8x per sec or 28,800 bph. Replica is water resistant to 50m (machine tested). I wear my original daily but bought the replica in case my work is susceptible to scratching the watch. Have to make sure their serial #s are noted so I don't get them mixed up. Everything looks identical even the weight and viewing under a 20x lens. Honestly- I think this guy has them backward. If you look at the silver lining around the looms on the "replica", they are slightly more pronounced. This is how they actually are. Most OBVIOUS real to fake at first glance is the super lume “pearl” located at 12 o’clock on the bezel. A real Rolex will always have a milk white color in light, the replicas ALWAYS have a duller white coloration. Hope this helps!
