I remember when Christian Rivers was Peter Jackson's storyboard artist and now he's directing sequences from a Hobbit movie. Wish I could join such a team.
YES! the wonderful days of the shire i remember watching the countless hours of additional footage and his face popping in and out.... Jackson has an amazing array of talent and he has a well run shop, expensive however but efficient in its production. The lack of enthusiasm in the rest of the film industry is telling, as more americanized bull kokky about guns and action attempt to drown out this movie and others like it with its independent smell to it....im in love

When I watched the First Hobbit I was disappointed! But when I watched The Desolation of Smaug I was so amazed! The movie was amazing in every way!! I love this movie! Might be one of my favorites aha.

@Odelia Jenkins Its called artistic license hun.....i liked the addition of a scrappy, non stuck up elf like we saw in this film. The wood elves themselves were like Elronds elves, they become introspective and cared not for the rest of the world, to the detriment of all noble races. I think your tripe is enough. Its a lot of work to put a film like this together, and it starts square one at the writing desk. I'd like to see YOU try and put more of an emotional pallet in there, because i thought we got to see the full spectrum of colour. Hope, remorse, good, darkness, etc. it wil never be perfect but i think it deserves more than your unforgiving, misunderstood statement.
The hobbit and Lord of the ring movies are not just good films the are a piece of art!
