Damn it I hate watching videos about the end of shooting because it gets me really upset and I feel like crying a massive waterfall and then I feel so jealous of the cast and crew cause being part of a movie like this seems like only a once in a lifetime opportunity and I'm just feeling so depressed and FEELS
Thranduil is just perfect, I don't know what else I could say, I mean it's obvious! No surprise that his son Legolas has to be awesome, too!!!
Dear Peter Jackson, you have written history with your whole lotr and hobbit crew!
One of the things that makes LOTR and The Hobbit films so incredible is that everybody is so willing and inspired to work at full capacity and also Peter never forgets to share these amazing moments with the fans. This is beautiful, brilliant. Thank you so much!
After watching the video of Jackson saying how exhausting this shoot was, and how he basically "winged it", that hug between him and Sir Ian McKellen feels so powerfull.
It took such a toll on him that he was hospitalized for a perforated stomach ulcer during the shooting. And he kept working on his hospital bed, barely taking a moment of break. That's beyond dedication.
@@justalonesoul5825 probaly due to him not being connected with the hobbit from the start. Which meant he didnt get to do the same pre-prodcution he did for lotr. :/
Got tears in my eyes when they finished the filming and everybody hugs. Must be a very hard but also very lovely atmosphere to work in. Like a huge family.
Lee Pace being in this video! Ohh god I can't stop it I'm drooling 😍
The girls in my class are are excited about the catching fire trailer and I'm like "REALLY? WATCH THE LORD OF THE RINGS OR THE HOBBIT!!!"
Peter Jackson is so incredibly generous with his fans and I cannot begin to thank him enough for making these vlogs.
Thank you Peter Jackson for making the books that helped me through my childhood into films that will be remembered by generations to come. You brought to life which my imagination could not. If this upcoming generations or the generations to come put aside the written the word may they at least remember the cinematic feat you accomplished. Lord of the Rings was a journey for me. I'm glad to be coming back this winter. J.R.R. Tolkien would be proud...everyone knows he would be.
omg Lee Pace!!! Can't wait to see him in action on the big screen!
In this trilogy and the LOTR I love how grateful the cast are and how much they genuinely enjoy each other and the work they’re doing and have so much fun together even when they’re not filming. That’s what makes these films so great.
martin referencing little britain in beorn’s chair brought me to tears omg
i wish to be in a movie like this, so fun
Write the theme tune, sing the theme tune... Gotta love Martin ;D
6:24 Richard Armitage is an elf, not a dwarf! O.0 he has pointy ears!
I would give anything to be a part of something like that. I can't imagine being in a Peter Jackson film, but I'd like to.
" I wanna write the theme tune, sing the theme tune" he's precious ;-;
6:33 loved that in little Britain, that just made it better!!
"im gonna write the theme toon, sing the theme toon" oh martin u are adorable!
you know one day id really like to see the adventures of gimli and legolas put on the big screen i always loved that dynamic
12:24 me and my college classmates on the last day of final year. 😂
This gives me a new found love for the Hobbit trilogy. I think we all have our issues with the films. But with the pressure placed on Jackson from the studio, he and this cast&crew did well. A lot of sacrifice, hard work, sweat and tears went into making Middle Earth come to life.
I think if Tolkien saw Peter Jackson and the effort he is putting into transforming his literature on screen.... well i think he would be proud :-)
What an amazing atmosphere. I would love to go there someday.
The end of this video actually made me cry.
i always cry after Peter's blogs.. so sad the 6 movies are finished - best in cinema history
The guy that took the picture at the end being like: 👁️👄👁️ "hold on, I'm not in the picture"
"i've never worked on such a hairy movie" i bet so
I would do anything to be able to work in the sound department for these movies. Anything.
I keep forgetting that Andy got a lot of his directing skills from being 2nd Unit Director on the Hobbit films and he got to learn from Peter Jackson... and he’s still a goofball. Still, it helped when he directed Mowgli.
Because he is the savoir and basically the owner of the forest. He's the heart of it.
I'm still getting so emotional when seeing how much work and effort has been put into the movies 😍😢 I just love LOTR and The Hobbit so much! 🧝🏻♂️🧙🏻♂️🌳🏰❤️
He's a rock star :D
I feel so wierd but so happy and sad and just all at the same time! It is simply amazing to get to experience some part of it all with the help of these blogs and I do hope we will see more.
I absolutely LOVE these videos..it just gives so much more depth and love into the film itself and shows how much they care about the audience everywhere. Peter truly loves making all these films and it shows!
Love Karate Freeman
Ian hugging Peter at the end is so heartwarming ❤️ would have loved to be a part of this crew
Haha, Sir McKellan holding a pack of Marboro Lights. My man.
i live in san diego and gosh i missed out big time
What an amazing compliment to New Zealand and the people of that gorgeous place. Andy Serkis: "Quite frankly I can't imagine this occurring anyplace else on the planet, so I thank you from the bottom of my heart."
(I hope I spelled his name correctly, I am horrible at that kind of thing!)
LEE PAAAAAAAAAAAAACE
Please PeTeR JacKsoN when you finish the hobbit triology MaKe A movie -Silmarillon movie- !!!
11:40 *REAHD HYANDED*
As of 8/20/2012, a little under 4 months until 12/14/2012. It's almost here. I read the Hobbit for the first time in my 9th grade English class in 1976-77 and was hooked. Don't know how old Bilbo is going to be presented as in the movie but in the book he is 50 years old. I'm turning 50 this Saturday so this will be real special for me.
that is very touching that everyone comes together to help out.
6:53 why is Orlando (man lying on the floor) such a child? 111? 1? I mean, he was 37 years old
Holmes, Watson, the Pie Maker, and Will Turner all in one movie. TOO COOL.
Annnd I’m crying. The bond between the cast and the crew is so genuine
The girls in my class, we're so excited too about watching Catching Fire, I was like thinking to myself, The Lord of the Rings, and The Hobbit are SO much better!!!!
No, there and back again starts when Bilbo starts his way home.
A sudden rush of respect and admiration to Andy Serkis.
I never knew.
Seriously, I NEVER knew that he was the 2nd Director.
*salute*
man I can only imagine working on a production like this all the time dedication and people that come into your life... just must of been truly amazing...once in a life time experience
I can't stop watching both the movie trilogies over and over. I read all the books when I was 17... now I'm 42. Thank you Tolkien, thank you Jackson. You keep my spirit young.
You KNEW how much we’d love all this, so thank you for giving us what we could only have imagined. The Trilogy and The Hobbit were magical.✨
Saxophone is now officially my favorite music instrument. 🎷🎶😍🎼
the flight of the Valkyrie makes me laugh every time!!!!
andy serkis playing the alto sax, made my life!!!
It’s so cute how Elijah hugs Andy :O
the respect all these people show one another is so beautiful and inspiring, i hope that the amount of effort and love that went into making these ( three) movies is reflected in them, thank you Peter Jackson!!
The photo at the end with the music almost made me cry, so sad that the franchise is gonna be over soon but so stooked
I just spent a week with my dad camping at our old favorite spot. Even though he was there with me, I was already feeling the pain of knowing it would probably be our last trip there.
I'm so going to cry at the end of "There and back again".
Haha PJ totally drunk at the end. Good on ya, mate.
I just love how Thorin is towering over Gandalf 3:41
there's such a huge difference from going into a theater and watching a movie and only judging it from what you saw from just those short hours compared to spending over a year waiting for updates and pictures and actually getting videos that show how so many people worked on every detail that you just take for granted on that screen, knowing that this movie might not reach everyone or be that big but still doing your best work on it. It makes me want to take my time to enjoy it properly.
9 wraiths of mortal men.. neither living or dead have disliked this
I start to cry just by listning to the music.
This shows that Perter Jackson really cares for the fans unlike other directors.
IT'D BE THE BEST JOB IN THE WORLD TO JUST BE INVOLVED WITH LIKE THE MAKING OF SOMETHING LIKE THIS, IT WOULDN'T EVEN FEEL LIKE WORK
Im amazed at how the music at 13:00 can make any normal happy scene into the super emotional happy scene that takes me back to The Fellowship.
my long time dream is to work on a production as epic as this one. So awesome
This movie is already a classic before it has even been released.
“You get so close that you’re able to freely abuse them on a daily basis and they don’t seem to mind.” - if that’s not family then I don’t know what is
God bless Peter Jackson, all the cast, crew and fans. They're amazing! :)
What I like about Peter Jackson is that even his is one of the worlds most famous directors, he look like an ordinary guy.
i literally started tearing up at the end
Their ability to create sets is astounding. They must be the top of their league.
"What's that? You want me to create an Obsidian-colored rock formation as a cave in the shape of a DNA strand to which fire will spew and twirl around and sun beings will come out from the sides...and it has to be fireproof? AND it has to be made out of used underwear and paint!?....No problem...just give me 20 minutes we'll have it ready for you."
AHHH Lee Pace was the lead actor in The Fall, one of my favorite all time movies!! I just got 10 times more excited eeeeeeeeeee
...Yes I am crying my eyes out 8 years later
Haven't been this excited for a movie since I was a child when Jurrasic Park came out.
Just watching the night at 4am, 12 hour work days and living in a trailer makes me feel exhausted. Plus the amount of artistry and construction involved - one of the few projects I feel I'm cheating them when I pay for cinema ticket rather than the other way around.
bawling like a baby
No, it was not portrayed in the film. Frodo was actually 50 years old when he and Sam began their journey to Rivendell, but Jackson decided to go with a younger Frodo.
10:32 he's reading The Hobbit!
He was at DragonCon. He was amazing and I got to talk to him. I was totally geeking out. And he singed my The Hobbit book bag !
there is some weird power this music has over me. become crazy nostalgic
HAHA. I died at Martin quoting Little Britain.
The number of talented people required to produce a film of this size and quality is mind boggling.
RikkyCZ The thing that makes The Hobbit so special as a piece of literature, especially for my generation, is its' originality. No, Tolkien didn't create dwarfs, elves or goblins. He didn't create the idea of a group of people going on a grand quest. And he wasn't the first to write a story with the theme of good versus evil. What was a first is that never before had someone with such literary talents writen a story in this genre. If The Hobbit doesn't live up to your expectations after seeing LOTR it is perhaps because you've already seen LOTR.
Something you might not know: JRR Tolkien belonged to a literary club when he was a professor at University. As a member of the club he would read passages of the story he was working on. The other writers in the club, which included C.S. Lewis who would later go on to write the Narnia series, thought that he was wasting his talents writing what they thought of as a childrens book.
@@claudec2588 he created the orks and a whole new world
It’s hard to believe they make any money at all
@@althausz1 uhh someone wasn’t alive when these movies came out. they earned a crap load of money and very easy to understand why.
