He said he loves drop in mid soles because they are replaceable, but then says they don't sell them separately 😂
he said its replaceable because you can use other drop in midsoles from other shoes. Examples: Zion, Serious Player Only, 808 Ultra, Nike Unity, GT CUTs midsole

that idea sucks as the midsole may not fit properly as shoes fit differently

I'm actually trying to build a business around drop-ins and orthotics (orthotic drop-ins) and maybe build a shoe/shoes around that so great to see more drop-in shoes in the market.
Brother please make them available in India and please make them like the flagship drop-ins from serious player and nike. India really needs some good drop ins cushioning system

They look very similar to the 29s that upper has the same pattern and shape, im very excited for these I like the simplicity. Very excited to see how the new cushion set up holds up.
Def loving the clean design of AJ39. The right color way will serve it right
You can always use a dremmel to weaken the rubber heel setup, I did that with my KD 12 which also had very clunky heels, worked like a charm. But a shame it was nessesary to begin with 😢
I'm down for those Jordan's. They look like they gonna perform well. Sure they gonna be light, cushion will be good but the traction... not huge on clear traction
If these are anything like the 38s count me in! I just hope the outsole doesn't come off as easily...
I was interested in the Air Jordan 39 until I saw every colorway has translucent outsole. No solid rubber = no buy.
Edit: and no midfoot shank plate, but they have the audacity to charge premium price.
I like the simplicity of the 39, but I don't like the cracked pattern on the sides of the mid foot. Let's hope Jordan Brand does more with the embroidery on the sides. They missed a great chance on the 38 to use special patterns or release some of the PE colorways.

Nike could make a killing selling those drop ins. Imagine being able to put those in the rock hard retro’s.
I’m guessing the outsole rubber will have to be really hard to make up for the lack of strobel and shank plate, otherwise these would be like wearing a gummy bear on your foot. The design is ok, nothing too offensive but also nothing special. I’m not a fan of the “smile” design and the colorways leave a lot to be desired.

Quick question… in terms of how zoom turbo is, are drop in with zoom simply zoom air or zoom turbo?
You all over the place. ZoomX is a foam, zoom turbo is an articulated forefoot zoom air bag. Think you ate refering to full zoom in the last statement, which is a full foot length zoom bag (thinner than regular zoom air bags) that are generally in the midsole or under the removable midsole

Jordan 39 should be called the Li Ning smiley face Jordan's ( draw 2 black circled dots on the side upper textile and ul see what i mean ) performance is prolly great, but design language is bland/ subtle/ boring / whack. zero off court / lifestyle appeal the shoe looks like eddie Jones quick 6 and Zion 3 had a fun night together.

I am so disappointed, I love the look of the 39 but sadly drop-in midsoles give me MAJOR shinsplints for some reason. That will keep me from grabbing this shoe.
These are a drop in midsole. So the people who wear orthotics are out of luck correct? No idea how an orthotic would work with a drop in midsole.

These look like more prone to roll an ankle. Seems too narrow and not that flat on the bottom. Combine that with a more plush midsole... will probably have too much foot movement. JC why cant nike just give people/hoopers what they really want, a shoe with wide more flat sole, a fking stack of Zoomx semi caged with a full zoom unit in the middle of the stack (a midsole with a full zoom sandwiched between zoom x, if you will) a little more firmer cushlon carrier and a fking plate under the midsole,. Oh and shut the f up on "we want minimalistic" b-crap and just make a really clean and minimalist design. And then charge whatever you want.
