@@jaybeetdown Agreed. The past few years haven't been great for the flagship Jordan in terms of popularity. Maybe it's because of so many other shoes in the market. But I'm glad Jordan brand is going back to the roots.

It’s good to see they’re trying to get back to being at the forefront of the basketball tech and design for shoes. I also like that they did mention that they’re getting away from the wild colors and limiting this to 9 colorways. However, I really think they still need to have core Jordan Legacy Brand colors at launch. The White/Black/Red and the “Bred” for the Bulls to honor Mike or even a Concord or Spacejam if needed. To me that’s the way to maintain the legacy and feel it was lost with some of these other releases.
Definitely agree they should always have a bred colorway. When u think mj u think bulls and if he were playing he'd likely b wearing those color shoes. All of these r too bland and basic.

I am most definitely going to get this when it’s available. I’m from Chicago. I grew up watching the Bulls. Just the fact that Michael Jordan was involved in the decision-making of this model makes me really want that much more. I’m just curious to see how the colorways are going to look in hand.
Triple black please! Wait, that black pair with the red stripe look dope too. I’d go for the models with black outsole because the clear is gonna age badly

Nice review. Do you know if the height of the rubber is higher in the arch. In the lebron 21 and if think also the gut 3 it was just some higher then the heel. I hate this with a podo insole 😂

Can you go into more detail as far as how the cushioning feels under foot. Specifically in the forefoot ? Like is it bouncy, plush, soft? Zoomx and Zoom sounds like a crazy good combo. Do you feel it in every step? And did you figure out what was missing from the shoe?
I might cop these if they deliver like the XX9 did for me.

I love everything except the grayish looking strap, I feel like it should maybe gloss or another white, some other variation
I actually like this model. I always kind of felt in a way that the 37 and the 38 was kind of a throwaway shoe. Not trying to be mean but I being a Jordan lover myself, you really didn't see this with those two models about the design specs and in depth creation of that sneaker. I thought that Tate Kurbis designed The Air Jordan 37 and the Air Jordan 38. But this shoe is hot. I'm really feeling this. Especially since they took a lot inspiration from AJ29 which was one of my favorite sneakers. I had the low elephant print ones that Mike had on in his flight basketball camp. This might be a new model I probably rock. Then like the 37 style because of the mesh and you can only wear them only on the basketball court. They're not for style. And the I guess the x plate on the 38 felt okay but I felt a what can you say a push in the ball of my foot in the center. These look very comfortable and me being a Jordan brand collector since I was 15 years old, this is nice. 👏☺️

They look good but I will never again buy shoes that turn Yellow just sitting there. All of the translucent gum rubber is discolored after months yellow after years. Does the translucent Black turn?
I like em but I just wish it had a smooth toe like the 2010s and dropped the suede off the 1st 3 lace holes. Definitely better than the 38s 37s 36s and 35s

Well I don’t hate them. I do miss the luxury focus on the signatures though. I think instead of all that rubber on the tongue it should be a luxury weave, something like on the 32. The cushion set up is wild.. no strobel board? Just the outsole and the insert.
You can never go wrong with classic color-ways that you know will sell themselves. I love the simplicity of the shoe and I like the direction that the wanna take this in but in my opinion Jordan signature line of shoes were never know to be simple. The best looking 38 was the one with the “aqua 8”color-way. That’s the only 38 I picked up.

The all black pair & all white with the red jumpman are dope. I hate when Jordans have that curve or split in the front though. Cheapens the shoe to me. The 39s wouldve been that much doper w/o it
I don't even mess with Jordam like that or would rarely even consider paying more than $150 or $160 😢 for some shoes but these look fresh in the white and I'll definitely try and cop a pair however I refuse to pay more than retail from those resellers who going to buy them all up and and overkill the price 😅.

The loop holes instantly remind me of the AJ Eclipse which was a cheaper shoe, feels like the loop holes should be a little better for a 200+ premium Jordan. Also the Air Jordan 39 basic font on the heel is super underwhelming for how beautiful the rest of the sneaker looks. I rather have that detail omitted to be honest. sneaker looks dope overall though.
Look like a mixture of Luka and Zion to me.. not saying that's bad.. and they do have some new characteristics too tho

Hmmm I’m just pulling off from memory but I felt like the upper on the 38 had a tad more padding? Or at least it felt like tougher material? I forget since I only wore the AJ39 for 2 mins. Either way the 39 will be a great performer

Looks like an upgraded version of the Zion.
Honestly as a Point guard, just give me the Jordan 11 with zoom air. Jordan 11 is light, DURABLE, that carbon fiber shank adds rigidity and propels me forward and absorbs shock. 😊
