Glad to hear the small off comment on the comparison of the thighrise of the GT line to the Ritual Line. When I upgraded from the GT1 to GT2, the increased stiffness in the thigh rise was a warm welcome. Though, I recently got a pair of G5's and was disappointed that the thighrises were softer than my GT2's, even the boot was softer on my G5's too.
These were standard G5's and not the G5's with the Extra Stiff option.
The G5's play boxier, have better stability, and kick out rebounds further (even on the thighrise), but the GT2's play stiffer anyways.
Was a very odd revelation when jumping back and forth.

How light are they when you compare them to your previous pads? Im a newer goalie for beer league and finding my Vaughn 3's are like wearing concrete pajamas 15 min in.

So, I always tell people to not focus on weight of pads. Basically every pad made in the last 5 years are very light and the overall weight difference between each won't make a massive difference. I always have a "weight and balance" section of the pad reviews (50:07 in this video).
But balance of the weight is the most important, and even though these pads weight more than some other pads I have, the balance is REALLY solid and you never notice them on the ice.
They would be a massive improvement over your V3
@Hockey Reviews Thanks for taking the time to respond. That makes complete sense and I think stock G6's E+'s are just about $1000 CAD which feels like a steal. I'll definitely focus energy on balance, especially when dropping into a butterfly (which I'm finding less than easy now that I'm 40). Look forward to more great vids!

Unfortunately I haven't gotten a chance to look at the mid range of this line. So I can't really say on that.

I absoultley love this video and it has great detail. Im looking to make a custom pair of g6s and this helped me know for a fact that I want them. I just wanted to know how you were able to get the flag logo on the pads. I was looking to put in image on mine on the side but I didn't see the option on the website when you customize them.

So, when you go through the retailer, you let them know you want to add a graphic to the pad and submit to them a .AI file to send off to Warrior. They should know what and how to do that.

The rainbow flag on the outer roll looks great. Did Warrior add that as part of the customizing, or is it an after-market addition?

what is the exact weight of these pads?
I don't weight pads or gear anymore, because people focus too much on weight and not enough on balance and how it actually feels.
Looks like he wore them in a paint factory explosion .. “one thing I don’t like is the graphics” 🙄..
I obviously did these colours for a reason and didn't try and get a "nice" graphic done with these. But my complaints about the graphics being extremely limiting are still valid and were slightly addressed with the G7.
