Very true, once someone is committed to a point of view it's hard to backtrack psychologically, both for internal ego reasons and for the practical considerations (how will this change of mind impact how others perceive me and thus my place in the world). Humans are interesting
Hey will love your channel, the “get to the point “ philosophy aligns with my mindset as well. Question for you. Do you find it hard to implement pure weekly speed work with your athletes in regards to CNS recovery. For example, having athletes run 3-5 max effort 40 yard dashes(timed). Do you find this to interfere with there recovery in season?
I’ve never found it to interfere with other aspects of their training or sport practice. But I’ve also never asked them how they feel about it either. I think it should be a priority for most athletes, and as a priority I don’t think it should really ever leave a training program.
My big question, how do you like combining kettlebell, mobility and strength training? I’m trying to figure out what can work best for me. Also, great intense content. Days and splits is what I’m curious about.
I do very minimal mobility work. Not that I’m opposed to it, I just don’t find it to be a priority of mine. And I rarely use kettlebells cuz I like barbells and dumbbells better.
@@willratelle8027good feedback. Been having elbow ulnar compression but fearing time away has pushed off the surgery. Good to know your recovery was quick.
Brother, I have a foot amputation, and I still do power clean and push jerks. They've been highly beneficial in force production and hypertrophy. Lack of triple extension and all. These guys are just intellectually lazy and committed to being contrarians. Great job in explaining things with brevity also
Pseudo intellectuals using science to back up their talking points? In other words these strength coaches are just like politicians and they’re members of the “trap bar jump party”😂
I know the shorter videos are your thing but these long ones are dope
Thanks man 🤝
“Smoking weed in their freshman philosophy course” 😂😂😂 pseudo intellectual perfectly describes them
Those vids are great. Lifts and rambling on interesting topics
I appreciate how you keep it real with us. Calling out specific names and examples. I enjoy your videos they are very thought provoking. Keep it up!
These videos are just great more identity and more coolness

You got surgery on your humerus back in November? What was the recovery time/how did you adjust training as a result?
I couldn’t do upper body intensive activity for 2-3 weeks. That was it. I waited about 5 weeks before I Olympic lifted.

Can you talk about a lifting belt like powerlifters use? Do you recommend them for ball sport athletes?
I have never used them. But I am looking into investing in one right now. Thinking I’ll probably go with an Eleiko belt.
How can a question of mine be answered in a video ?
Whats your take on conjugate method for athletes? Specially recreational athletes who want to be strong, jacket and conditioned
I think it can work for people. It’s not the system that I use with athletes I train though.
Also how do you figure out how many reps to do for a certain weight?
Just trial and error
All that I know is that I know nothing about how to get a big squat 💀
Where did you get your bench from?
Scheels
What's the breathing pattern for those dips?
I’ve never thought about it before. I probably valsalva for the challenging/heavy reps.
Do u do any cardio for weight loss
Yes
how do I even know my thoughts are real? 😏
*puff* Woah Maaaaan
