- Glock 46 Made Me Love Glock... Again
Glock's Model 46 is making me love Glock again. It was a bad breakup, but they really haven't done anything truly new in decades. That has ended with this new handgun, and it is hiding a revolutionary secret. Whether you love Glock or hate them, you'll definitely want to know what they've got going on with this new gun, and what it has in common with a few other pistols already available in the US. After you watch the video, sound off and give us your opinion in the comments: is this new action something you'd like to try, or do you want to stick with the legacy Glocks that you're used to?

Two things.
This is Glock's design answer to two Government requests.
1, it eliminates the difficulty female officers\agents have being unable to disassemble their Glock service weapon because of long nails.
2, it eliminates the ability for the Glock Switch to be implemented as they currently are. The US Government announced they are suing Glock over the ease in which their handguns can be made full auto. Yet, many striker fired pistols are same design. Yet, US Government is suing Glock.
Thanks you saved me from watching this crap.
The answers to both of these questions are easy.
1. There shouldn't be female officers.
2. Full auto is a protected right and the US government needs to FO and stay in it's lane.
And ironically most federal LEOs are used Glocks.
Someone that actually knows what’s up.
My Glock 17gen3 hasn't let me down once I love it 🤘
The best reason to have a Glock is price point and reliability. Everything else is just nitpicking because people love to complain. As long as the gun is reliable and reasonably accurate, nothing else matters. There are countless people who are perfectly content with a stock Glock and carry them every day. Once again, people love to whine and complain. If you don't like Glock, stop trolling and get something else. It's that simple. 🤷
AGlock is a Glock is a Glock is a Glock....................
We dont need no stinking manual safty on the g19. G46 looks like a solution looking for a problem. No thanks......browning tilt action is proven 120 years in sevice. Rotery action sounds good on paper but the berretta p4 is no a big seller. Not like the clasic m9 fs92. Not even in the same ballpark.
It’s for European police.
Maybe you should first try out that px4 - THEN come and remove your disdainful comment!
I have the newest generation Glock 21 .45 ACP and it shoots so accurate! I got rid of the stock sights and out truglo night sights. Added a light and i love it!
My Gen 4 is awesome.
What light did you end up going with? I have a 22 year old Glock light on mine and the switch is finally dying on it and i need an upgrade
@@theshapeexists I use the Olight Balor 🤘😎🤘
It’s so accurate? What modern firearm isn’t accurate? Olight is 💩
@HWG-wm8ld how Is it bad?? Please tell me. It's bright as heck and works perfectly fine!
This model sounds like a bureaucratic solution of spending more money on a custom ordered firearm in order to spend less money on training.
For German police to use normal Glocks, they'd have to re-write the entire federal guideline/policy for police firearms. I guess that would be a total nightmare and probably wouldn't even go through in the end.
Those guidelines, the so-called TR contains stuff like the trigger weight must be > 3 kg (6.6 pounds) on striker fired pistols and the pistol must be so that it can be disassembled without having to pull the trigger. The last of which forced Glock to use a rotating barrel system.
You'll notice that the H&K VP9 can be disassembled without pulling the trigger, now you know why. They do however still need to build a special "TR" version for German police with a 6.6 pound trigger, because nobody else would want that trigger.
A safetyswitch can safe your kids life..if it get hands on your pistol you fool..😂😂
@@heikosale1027 That‘s Right: The Technical Guideline Police Pistol have some features, a glock does‘nt have. Some sarcastic people said, these Features were writen in to exclude Glock from any German police new buy….
@@fjordweit6170 I don't think so. I think the TR for German police have just been written by the same bureaucrats who wrote German gun law. It's a mess, it doesn't make sense, it's outdated and it contradicts everything you know if you actually shoot guns...
To the best of my knowledge: this is NOT a manual safety, but a takedown-lever!
You are correct.
No. Slide release is first one, then the new manual safety required by that department.
Didn't watch the vid, eh @@guitarguru4492.!
So much for your knowledge 😸
The only additional safety I'd find worthwhile on a Glock would be a grip safety. That's something that might help prevent an accidental discharge but wouldn't interfere with rapid deployment of the weapon. If it was really important to me though I'd have purchased an XD instead.
You're hyped about a Glock with a manual external safety? You need help. 🤦♂️
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂🎉❤
Like being thrilled about a car with brakes!!! Wowzer!
@@This_is_my_face not even remotely the same.
@@kenjiwenji indeed it is.
@@This_is_my_face the Glock has multiple internal safeties, you mome. Manual external safeties don't equate to brakes on a car. Congrats! You only have a stem where your brain should be.
If you can't remember to clear a firearm before dissembling it you don't belong holding one ! Period
Ok, so you want a pistol that looks NICE.
With the Death of Gaston Glock back in December of 2023 they should Modernize More into their firearms, and Why won’t this Pistol be available to Civilians in the US?!
Maybe they will, but for now it is a limited run for the German Police agencies.
Seems he was like Henry ford w the model T did not want to do anything new
Why ? All those modernizations are just a fad till the next fad comes along, I've had my Glock gen3 19c since... 1998. Finger groove and Tennifer ... All that matters is reliability... Everything else is bells and whistles
@@lynch6642 I do like some of the changes, like the grip differences between the G21 Gen1 and the G21 Gen4.
We don’t want it.
How has the other striker guns innovated? They copied the Glock, wow, that was difficult.
I've been waiting for something truly innovative from Glock, and this seems to be it.
Germany is crazy with it: Walther, HK, Sig, CZ, Glock, FN, HS Produkt, Steyr. Before anyone trip, I’m referring to the old medieval territories not present day Germany (CZ is old Bohemia for example).
What are you even talking about? You’re conflating gun manufacturers with European countries or territories.
Just another fool blabbering
So tired of these fake AI generated bots videos
There's nothing Ai in this video & you have no idea how much we are spending on making just 1 video.
@@AllAboutSurvival I bet you made this on gpt chat
You spent too much, especially with the actors.
looks like a gen 6's coming
Okay, it’s interesting, but good training and awareness has prevented the occasional “oops” from becoming an epidemic. I’ve been a Glock shooter since 1987 and have seen only one such “oops” during disassembly. This particular model will require a fair amount of Academy and in-service training because of the manual safety alone. It’s been quite a few years since the majority of police carried pistols with manual safeties or decocking levers. Police will have to be conditioned to make it a habit to take off the safety to fire, and to put on safe when going back to the holster.
Because cops are incompetent fools. I use a 2011 for work and Glock for carry. I have never even thought about the safety and different grip angle everyone cries about.
That should be the only CA Compliant Glock! LOL
So…something that works, is durable, reliable, accurate, and does the job it was designed to do is no longer good enough because some other company is constantly changing their stuff to chase the puck? Guess you had a gleegasm when Springfield added “Grip Zone” to the XD.
What changes have the other companies made to their Glock copies? These people have GDS
I've got this old Gen 3 Tennifer and finger groove 19c since 1998... In the end its reliability that you want.
Wow, you hurt yourself coming up with that
“Newer more modernized designs “. The fuck does that even mean?? Every polymer pistol is basically a Glock design with different looks. That’s it. Unless you want a 320 that shoots itself a plastic gun is a plastic gun…..
The 320 is user error, don’t you know cops are incompetent and lie to cover up their actions.
Complexity may contribute to unreliability. Glock should try to create Glock with HK p7 or Steyr GB mechanism, however they need to resolve heat problem owing that Glock is made of polymer.
Did you check out the durability and reliability of the Beretta PX4? Might be surprised by that rotating barrel.
@@kevinrtres I am not entirely sure why Beretta is not that popular. I think the twist of the barrel should be in direction to compensate one hand recoin and and side move.
Omg glock is so perfect that it has 100s of the same gun
Ever heard of the AK?
Girls like different purses and shoes. Dudes just want shit that works. I’m guessing you are a girl
Many people would buy the Glock Model 46 just for the rotating barrel action.
Absolutely!!! I was surprised by all the idiotic comments about the trivial changes - those people obviously have no clue as to how big an item that rotating barrel is!
No one cares
Well it would get rid of the “switches” for a while… :)
If the atf did their job, the switches wouldn’t be available. They never knock on doors in west Baltimore
Pretty sure you can't suppress any rotating barrels FYI.
Maybe - then you've got to ask how many Glock buyers actually use a suppressor....! Tiny, tiny market.
@@kevinrtres Salient point to my attempt @ being informative. Should you have an example of a suppressed rotating barrel, please share.
Glock barrels don’t rotate and only rubes care about silencers. You think real life is a James Bond movie
@@HWG-wm8ld Fudtastic! 🤣
3:59. He said beaver….ha ha. If Glock offered a thumb safety many more people would feel co for table with them. Anyone see the video of the guy shooting his pecker off with a Glock? Not something to appendix carry.
They make these new things called holsters nowadays that prevent any unwanted trigger pulls. They work well!
It doesn’t magically fire.
sort of what berretta does with the storm
Hell,yes
Call it boring or complain all you want, cant deny that all makers copy and steal the design…..
And it’s still the simplest design. I don’t know what else these people need as far as innovation, shooting lasers maybe…
How much has the AR innovated? A rail…mind blown, the AK, the 1911, a revolver….they sound like the people with TDS, repeating something some other cry baby said.
We can't buy glock 46....yet? Right
That's why he's suggesting we contact Glock to badger them into making it available for civilians in the USA.
Could you do a video on binary triggers
Hey, thanks for the suggestion! I'll add binary triggers to my list of video ideas.
How about less blocky grip, no hump, and 1911 angle. Just a suggestion.
1911 is a fudd gun LOLOL
@@jcoxy1057 🤣
The grip is nearly that of a 92f. If you don’t like something, don’t buy it. You can buy whatever you want little guy.
I've shared my turning point back to loving Glock with the Model 46, but what about you? Have you ever had a piece of gear (not just firearms) that completely changed your perspective on a brand? Share your stories below!
I'm surprised you didn't PIN your comment to the top so everyone can see it.
You must be a complete rube if this is what you wanted.
OP
They gave us something new? No. It’s not available in US. They gave us nothing. Waste of time.
A Glock with a manual safety? I'm interested.
Walther pdp much much better!!!
In what ways? The trigger, yes. That’s it and the trigger is what it is because millions of incompetent people buy Glocks. If a Glock has a lighter, smoother trigger, more NDs would happen.
Had*
Glocks don’t have slide releases.
Don’t fix what isn’t broken 😮
It's not Glock perfection if you gotta replace every factory part.
