  • This is something I've been working on for the past few weeks ever since I learned that ELRS is including Wi-Fi-based joystick support in ELRS 3.4. I got onto this a bit late, so I'm paying catch up a little.
    It was working on the desktop pretty quickly, but when actually testing on a real iPhone I had to fundamentally change the way it worked - twice! Anyway, this should be coming out soon(ish) along with support for Tracer/Crossfire modules.
    It was actually the Velocidrone folks that pushed this idea through - so props (pun intended) to them for the idea!

    I literally recently downloaded your sim on my iPad and was so annoyed I couldn't use my bluetooth from elrs.. And this now is amazing news 😎

      The Apple eco system is so locked down, I'm not even allowed to send a certain type of packet without asking permission of Apple (which they haven't given yet) causing another large change in how I had to do things. Shouldn't be too long before release - got a few more bits to do and then quite a lot of testing!

    Wow! Wi-Fi-based joystick support built-in to ELRS 3.4, for any ELRS equipped transmitter would be an awesome feature. Lack of ability to use a normal trammeller hardware with any iOS devices has indeed been a huge frustration.

      I saw this the other day - just a basic screen of a 5.8 screen. You need a reasonable graphics processor on mobile to play this, so really low end stuff like you'd get in this radio would be a bit painful

    Very cool!!
    By the way, wanted to ask, do you still have the immersionr/c rf transmitters available in your region? I cant seem to find any in stock. Any help would be appreciated

      As in the VTX's? I don't think these are produced any longer since they bought out the Tramp range

      @@CurryKitten yes, the VTXs, didn't know they were discontinued, but that makes sense. Thank you🙏

    Can I not use it for Android phone or tablet

    • @CurryKitten
      @CurryKitten  Před 25 dny +1

      You can - I will be including it in the Android version, but as Android doesn't restrict you from connecting devices, it seems less of an issue. For the very best experience - use a cable between your device and radio

      I was trying to figure out the name of the sim, or others. I now realize it is "CurryKitten Sim"

      It's not a very imaginative name is it, but you can find it in the play store. Along with FPV.Skydive and Velocidrone amongs a few others
