      @@ram.ram.saryane8121 Eh idk about that. The reason America needs India is to protect American allies in East Asia. Think about that, its not even to protect our homeland, our homeland is safe from China, our navy would crush theirs in instants and they don't have any experience with long-distance naval amphibious assaults. US is the only nation with significant experience in that regard, I guess UK too, but less so.
      But yah, even Hawaii is safer from China than most nations in East Asia, they'd conquer India before they hit Hawaii.
      On the other hand, India is literally right next to China and has active disputes over land borders. Seems clear to me India is higher up on China's "conquest list" than the US.
      America's "fear" of China is actually a good position because we're a lot stronger than we think, if we were to cut off China from trade they would collapse. Think about it, all this is mostly for our allies in East Asia so China doesn't build some Kingdom of Heaven Empire like their Ultra-Nationalists dream of. First on their list after East Asia would be India, not the US, so I really think that India actually needs the US more than US needs India. As the US is mostly just protecting allies in East Asia not even itself, which is pretty selfless but also smart because it prevents radical empires from getting stronger, sorta like how NATO prevents Russia from conquering Europe nations one by one.
      But yah I do think the world needs to take the China threat more seriously, but just look at a map and its pretty clear to me its going to be a problem for India before it is for the US, we're just thinking pro-actively and planning decades ahead, in reality China won't be able to even threaten us til 2050 and only if they have a strong navy. I do think the future will be bright for both India and US but we gotta put away our egos and work together, we also need to move past our unhealthy relationships with Russia and Pakistan, I say the US trades less with Pakistan and more with India, then India does the same with Russia and trades more with US, seems fair and a good way to improve relations between Democracies.

    It’s probably worth pointing out Ireland’s secret advantages compared to most of the rest of the world and those include its history of neutrality and the large share of Americans of relatively recent Irish descent in American politics.
    Of the huge migrations of people into the US since the war of 1812, the Irish came to the US knowing English and having an extraordinary degree of experience in getting around and maneuvering within the British imposed political system which greatly influenced the development of the US political system. Compared to Ireland at the time, despite great anti-Catholic and anti-Irish resistance to the massive waves of emaciated famine refugees, the political savvy, and opportunity in the US to self-motivated Irish immigrants have them at least a generation’s jump on every other wave of European immigrant groups in terms of moving up the political and economic ladder here.
    Coming with large families, great faith, an appreciation of the importance of education and political connections Americans if Irish descent are deeply integrated into US politics at the highest level. Even President Obama was half Irish American which certainly didn’t hurt him in the polls.
    Now, some of those Irish political figures have shamefully forgotten the lessons of their Irish American ancestors and somehow have defended a certain madman in the US, but hopefully (deleted because you have a channel devoted to kindness)…
    There are some very interesting Lessons being learned about Russia’s military “prowess” right now because of its internal corruption problem, but again, that’s not what your channel is about. I do suggest you do some personal viewing if the news and sources like Reddit but I’m dot recommending you view any because I don’t think you’ll enjoy them.
    But don’t spend any time getting ulcers about the US taking over Ireland any time soon, it’s more likely that the UK’s Parliament should worry about having to pay reputations to Ireland and US and Canadian families who lost family members due to the exporting of many many tons of food from Ireland while so many of my relatives and others starved to death (and that’s extremely unlikely!)

      Nukes are quite overblown as a threat. Yes, they are extremely powerful, but they are almost useless on the battlefield. As we can see, weapons have become increasingly precise. We want bombs that can drop down a ventilation shaft and kill a target. Nobody is trying to wipe out entire cities anymore. That's WW2 tactics that didn't even work that well in WW2. To start launching nukes is to commit suicide. The point of a war is to win, not to kill yourself. Nukes are like battleships... Big, expensive, fancy to look at, extremely powerful, and basically useless.

    While the video mostly concentrates on quantity of forces and strategy I feel the more important attribute that will make the difference is quality of personnel. The U.S. spends much of it's defense budget on training and exercises, including live fire exercises, that are so expensive that many other militaries can't match. The U.S. just "studies war" more than any other country.

      Because the US Army is mostly unnecessary in a purely defensive scenario. The enemy has to cross the Atlantic or Pacific (or the Arctic, but that is a logistical nightmare and highly unlikely), and the US Navy's overwhelming superiority at sea makes that a virtual impossibility. I suppose the US could deploy the Army to the Canadian and Mexican borders (but the enemy still has to get to Canada or Mexico first). Contrary to the Cold War classic film "Red Dawn", the US is virtually immune to a conventional invasion because of its geography and its Naval superiority. The US could lose an offensive war through attrition (i.e. winning a conventional invasion of China is not a reasonable expectation because China is a huge country and has 4x the population of the US), economics (i.e., the costs exceed any possible benefits, and it's cheaper to just withdraw), or the desire to not engage in total war (i.e. the deliberate large-scale targeting of non-combatants like Russia is doing in Ukraine), but the US currently can not lose a *conventional* defensive war.

The "windsors" [ inbred Mounbattens and Saxe Coburgs ] are NOT the rightful monarchs - there isn't on ounce of celtic blood in any of their DNA .. Wonderful reaction. I’ve seen many people who say that the USA, as the only military superpower, needs to go to Ukraine and stop Russia. This video shows we can, but with the massive caveat of no nuclear weapons. Unfortunately, Russia might use them if they get desperate enough, so that is why we are so hesitant to intervene. I apologize for getting political, but just wanted to explain why I think the USA isn’t doing more.

    I take it with a huge block of salt. I don't think anyone can tell what would really happen in a global war such as this. There are many examples of major powers getting bogged down in conflicts they thought they would win easily. It's happened to the U.S. more than once, and seems to be happening to Russia today. In any case, I hope nothing like this ever happens. It would be terrible for every country in the world, the U.S. included.

    • @aaronburdon221
      @aaronburdon221 Před 2 lety +3

      The primary reason the USA gets bogged down is because we play by the rules, and our opponents don't. If we truly wanted to we could light the entire world on fire even without nukes. MOABS are pretty gnarly creations and daisy cutters are pretty nasty too. We only used maybe 5-10% of our capability in the entire middle eastern conflict. The primary problems would be China and Russia. Granted, the European block would cause the military to sustain casualties we would rather not have to. If this did happen, and we didn't care about the geneva convention or any of the rules except no nukes, the U.S. military would butcher a large portion of the worlds population primarily by starvation but a decent chunk of it would be air bombing. We REALLY don't want to do that though.

    The thing that always confused me about this analysis is that the guy assumes if a war did break out between the US and the rest of the world, the US would be the one on the offensive. I guess it would depend on the circumstances, but realistically all they would have to do is fortify the Homeland and go on the defensive since the rest of the world doesn't have a true deep sea Navy. So as long as the u.s. sent out occasional carrier strike groups to harass Naval ports and Naval construction yards, it would be possible to infinitely assure that the rest of the World never gets the capability to construct a deep-sea Navy since all of the production takes place on the coast. And while they are using the aircraft carriers strike groups to attack the Ports & Naval yards, they can commit a portion of the aircraft to go inland to strike high-priority targets. Sure they won't win a war this way, but they can assure their survival without ever having to step foot on another continent.
