Azuma Nelson made a point here, has a powerful fist, and wants Julio Cesar Chávez for breakfast, no wonder why Julio Cesar never dare to fight him…Fear?…or just Precaution???…
The trainer who picked him up on high used to train Chavez. I understand he told Chavez not to fight Nelson because Nelson was stronger than he. I remember the guy. I used to see him on the streets in Accra.

Nelson named Mario Martinez as the best he faced in his interview with The Ring Magazine. No disrespect to Martinez, but that's just Nelson being unwilling to pay any credit to Salvador Sanchez and Pernell Whittaker because they both beat him and in the process wounded his ego. Typical of most boxers not to give credit to opponents who beat them. Martinez doesn't live in the same street as either of those guys and deep down Nelson would know that. Just wounded pride speaking. And the sad part is due to ego he can't even pay due credit to a young guy who lost everything in his early twenties.
In all fights, Nelson was not 100 percent. Nelson fought Sanchez with a defective mouth piece. Don King needed Sanchez to win. That would be money for him. Don King was Sleazy.
@@yawos9024 If you get beaten, suck it up. If you man up and admit it without excuses you earn a lot more respect. Nelson was a great champion and performer in the ring, anyone who says he wasn't does not know what they are talking about, his strength was that he was prepared to travel to the backyards of his opponents to defend his title and risk hometown decisions. He should be better than that interview and other interviews he's had, he tends to let himself down. Just my opinion.
Sánchez beat him when he was a teenager and Whitaker defeated him when he was past his prime in another weight class where Nelson never did anything. Whitaker was also dirty and clinched/ wrestled/ grappled/ ducked with the smaller Nelson for the entire bout. So Martínez in the 1st bout defeated a better version of AN than these 2.

Nelson's trainer at that time used to train Chavez. He is the guy who lifted him after the fight. I understand he told Chavez to avoid Nelson.
Exelente trabajo del refery para la fecha en que se hiso la pelea.

Decho si amigo en una en trevista el asabache Martínez dijo que asuma Nelson pegaba más duro i fuerte que Chávez.
Nelson was a dangerous human being even in the last round. Savage
The only time Nelson has been knocked out was in the last round. Salvador Sanchez beat Nelson by TKO in the 15th round.

BIAS commentary, if they are doing this to the Great Nelson then imaging what's going on with the score cards 🤔,
Bob Sheridan was consistently bad. Awful commentator.
