BOB MARLEY lived as a RASTAMAN giving full praise to His Imperial Majesty. Bob walked among all Rastafari whether they be Twelve Tribe, Bobo, Nyahbinghi, or Orthodox. His orthodox baptism and faith are not indicative of his rejection of the divinity of Rastafari. Over 20,000 including Rita Marley and Children had their baptism long before Bob Marley and to the best of our knowledge are still Rastafarian. If Bob Marley had converted, as they alleged, why didn't he make it known yet he still lived up to 8 months after baptism?
    ARCHBISHOP YESEHAQ’S INTERVIEW
In the interview with Archbishop Yesehaq @ 3:02, he said "Many Rasta felt disappointed after their baptism because they expected the Church to embrace their ideology". Also, the Archbishop equally said that "he would NOT condemn their beliefs because EVERYMAN is FREE to worship the way he wanted". Please click here to watch czcams.com/video/WXiPllReCBI/video.htmlsi=LEmb_N3cBNzTcNtK
    JUDY MOWATT'S PERSPECTIVE
According to Archbishop Abuna Yesehaq, Bob Marley's baptism took place in the presence of his Wife and Children, meaning that Judy Mowatt whom we all thought was there to witness the alleged Bob's conversion to Christianity wasn't there. Her story is based on a third-party account (hearsay) that cannot be proven. Please watch her interview here czcams.com/video/_8v6OUOV4cA/video.htmlsi=zDK2R0ZkhmoGrL65
BOB'S FUNERAL WON’T TAKE PLACE AT THE CHURCH
Some said Bob’s funeral would never have taken place in the church if he didn’t denounce Rastafari. This is not true because the following persons died a Rastaman, they are:
    1. Jacob Miller: His funeral was held at the Ethiopian Orthodox Church, the funeral service was led by Archbishop Yeshaq, the same person who baptized Bob.
    2. Peter Tosh: His funeral was equally held at the Jamaican Ethiopian Orthodox Church.
    3. Joseph Hill: The lead singer of Culture band, his funeral was held at Emmanuel Apostolic Church, in Kingston Jamaica.
    4. Gregory Isaacs: His thanksgiving Service was held at the All Saints Anglican Church in Harrow Weald, North London.
    5. Menelik McClymont: Son of Luciano, his funeral was held at the Meadowvale Seventh-day Adventist Church.
    6. Aston ‘Familyman’ Barrett: Bob Marley’s bass guitarist, his funeral was held at Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo church service guided by the head of the administrator for the Caribbean and Latin America Archdiocese Archmandrite Aba Gebreyesus Woldesamuel Negatu.
    7. Peter Morgan: Lead singer of Morgan Heritage, the funeral was held at First United Methodist Church of Orlando, USA
Rastafarians have different perspectives and perceptions towards baptism. Baptism (as a Rasta) is NOT conversion as you have it in Christianity.
The Twelve Tribes of Israel branch of Rastafari teaches salvation through the Messiyah Jesus Christ, whom they refer to as either Yahshua or by the Amharic name Iyesus Kirisitos. It is perhaps the Rastafari mansion closest in beliefs to Christianity or Messianic Judaism. Haile Selassie, Emperor of Ethiopia, is seen as a divinely anointed king in the lineage of Kings David and Solomon (Selassie's house is called the Solomonic dynasty). While he is considered a representation of "Christ in His Kingly Character", he is not seen as an incarnation of the Messiyah, nor as Jah Himself, but rather as an emissary of Jah and representative of the everlasting Davidic covenant, which is to be fulfilled by Christ upon his return.
    Blessed love!!
    Ras Dennis

    • @HarryPairatestes363
      @HarryPairatestes363 Před 2 měsíci +2

You're engaging in mental gymnastics in an effort to avoid the fact that Bob Marley accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior prior to his death. As far as the other reggae musicians you mentioned are concerned, they, like Marley, all had Christian upbringings prior to their identification with Rastafari, so it would make sense that they would have Christian services upon their deaths, especially in light of the fact that rastas have an almost total aversion to the concept of death and any ritual associated therewith. For a quick overview of this disposition, a listen to Peter Tosh's "Burial" should suffice.
As far as Selassie is concerned, the goalposts have been repeatedly moved with respect to who Rastas believe him to be. The original Jamaican Garveyites believed him to be the savior, the redeemer, the second coming, as did their rasta descendants. "Jah Rastafari" is quite literally Jehovah Rastafari aka God-- I'm pretty sure that isn't a metaphorical title, nor is it some abstract and enigmatic concept. Bob Marley himself repeatedly said "Rastafari is God." Seems pretty clear cut.
As far as the archbishop is concerned, while he may not have 'forced' rastas to disavow their worship of Haile Selassie(how could he?), he certainly preached the Gospel to them and opened the doors to their legitimate entry into the church...which, again, would have included accepting Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Naturally, neither he nor the church would "embrace" rastas ideology, as said ideology is antithetical to Scripture and church tradition. In the same interview the archbishop discusses Bob Marley's inner conflict with respect to being baptised and becoming(again) a follower of Jesus Christ. As the world's most recognizable rasta this wouldn't have been an easy decision to make, as so much of his identity was informed by and associated with that way of life. However, in November of 1980(as has been documented in every major biography on Marley, so if you have credible sources that refute this evidence, by all means submit it) he was baptised in the name of the father, son, and holy spirit, without any reference to Rastafari.
Finally, Haile Selassie was a member of The Ethiopian Orthodox Church, one of, possibly the oldest Christian church in the world. He very consciously sent emissaries to Jamaica to establish the church there so rastas would stop worshiping and deifying him, as there is no biblical basis for this practice. There is also, by the way, no evidence that Marcus Garvey ever prophesied a redeemer of any kind being crowned king in the east. No source material has ever been found to support one the most foundational claims/tenets of the faith, and the speeches of Garvey that do exist suggest that it's highly unlikely that he would have said anything even remotely resembling such a statement, given his preoccupations with political and social causes, namely that of repatriation.

Marleys mother was a Christian . She sang in a choir at a local Kingston Pentecostal . It is noted in her own words from her book how Marley grew up hearing various Bible stories and so was familiar with for example the *Whaling/Weeping prophet Jeremiah and where he got the name for his backing singers . He would sing along with his mother around the home , singing gospel songs/hymns . As a young man Marley had been exposed to the WORD and the SEED was planted
The application name of the backing group is after the Lamenting prophet Jeremiah . Note also the album and main hit sing REDEMPTION SONG is about SALVATION or SAVING … exactly what the word redemption means 😉
JESUS is not a domination … keep that on mind when you run your mouth about the various demonisations .
Listen to ALL the interview with Marleys Ethiopian Bishop whom knew ALL the family , don’t just take a small clip from the interview and apply it you got to take it all within context.

Thanks for your feedback.
Judy Mowatt's perspective: According to Archbishop Abuna Yesehaq, Bob Marley's baptism took place in the presence of his Wife and Children, meaning that Judy Mowatt whom we all thought was there to witness the alleged Bob's conversion to Christianity wasn't there. Her story is based on a third-party account (hearsay) that cannot be proven. Please watch her interview here czcams.com/video/_8v6OUOV4cA/video.htmlsi=zDK2R0ZkhmoGrL65
If Bob Marley had converted, as they alleged, why didn't he make it known yet he still lived up 8 months after baptism?

Same lame copy and paste answer. You don't even need someone to deceive you. You deceive yourself.
In any court of law, you would lose this case. You're only evidence is conjecture and your own twisting of the facts. While the evidence that Bob was baptized, wept loudly in repentance and called out to Jesus Christ is very strong.

    • @reggaegistxtra_ng
      @reggaegistxtra_ng  Před 2 měsíci

Thanks for your feedback. However, it would be nice if you could provide a piece of evidence. Remember Archbishop Abuna Yesehaq, of blessed memory, did say Bob Marley's baptism took place in the presence of his Wife and Children meaning that no other person was there. So, where did you get the story that 'he wept loudly in repentance and called out to Jesus Christ'? And even if he did call Jesus Christ, there's NOTHING wrong with that as a member of the Twelve Tribes of Isreal Branch of Rastafari.
The Twelve Tribes of Israel teaches salvation through the Messiyah Jesus Christ, His Imperial Majesty is considered a representation of "Christ in His Kingly Character", he is not seen as an incarnation of the Messiyah, nor as Jah Himself, but rather as an emissary of Jah and representative of the everlasting Davidic covenant, which is to be fulfilled by Christ upon his return.

Everyone is providing you evidence, lol. You're just too blind to see it.
Your religion is a lie. Bob called on Jesus for forgiveness of his sins with loud tears and repentance. No, that is not normal for a Rastafarian.
If all you want is to smoke weed, be encouraged that there's no scripture against weed. There are plenty of scriptures against drunkenness and loose living, but many people use weed responsibly.

Also, the Archbishop equally said that "he would NOT condemn their beliefs because EVERYMAN is FREE to worship the way he wanted". If Bob Marley had converted, as you said, why didn't he make it known yet he still lived up 8 months after baptism?
You might say what about Judy Mowatt's account? If you still pay attention to the Arch. Bishop, Bob Marley's baptism took place in the presence of his Wife and Children, meaning that Judy Mowatt whom we thought was there to witness the alleged Bob's conversion to Christianity wasn't there. Her story is based on a third-party account (hearsay) that cannot be proven. Rita Marley, Ziggy, and others to the best of our knowledge are still Rastafarian. Nesta believed that Haile Selassie was Christ in his kingly character but whether he was aware or not, he (Bob) came to fulfilled the divine script of the Christ and HIM with Yahweh (Jah) being his spiritual Father.
John.15:24 "But now have they both seen and hated both me and my Father."
John 8:54 "Jesus answered, If I honour myself, my honour is nothing: it is my Father (HIM) that honoureth me (provided Bob with his LOJ ring); of whom you (rastafarians) say, that he is your God"
John.6:27 "Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him hath God the Father sealed or the One on whom God the Father (Ras Tafari) has placed His seal (Lion of Judah Ring) of approval."
In other words, since the Bible is the preserved mysteries of the Egyptian tale, Nesta was the embodiment of Horus the Child (Ausar/Osiris) and Selassie is that of Set. In predynastic Egypt, there were the first twin of the Great Mother called 'Herui' (Heruifi) which is equivalent to the Ethiopic 'Kheruy' or 'Heruy' meaning 'Chosen One'. This word is related to the Hebrew ‘Bacharumi’ (ba-Kharu-mi) which is the plural form (union of two into one) of Bachar.

The video of Archbishop Yesehaq is the first proof of his conversion. He clearly states, you cannot be in the church unless you align with the churches teachings. Thus, you cannot be baptized into the church if you do not believe in its teachings. The burial is the second proof of this. You cannot have an orthodox funeral if you are not a practicing orthodox Christian.
Also, it should be noted that the 'denominations' of Christianity that are stated in this video are not recognized by the orthodox church as being the faith of Christianity.

Thanks for your feedback. However, you failed to mention what he said @ 3:02 "Many Rasta felt disappointed after their baptism because they expected the Church to embrace their ideology". Also, the Archbishop equally said that "he would NOT condemn their beliefs because EVERYMAN is FREE to worship the way he wanted". If Bob Marley had converted, as you said, why didn't he make it known yet he still lived up 8 months after baptism?
With regards to the funeral, Bob Marley wasn't the first, Jacob Miller died as a Rastaman, yet the same Archbishop was the person who handled his funeral service. Just recently, Aston "Familyman" Barrett, his Thanksgiving service, was held on February 24th, 2024 at Holy Family Episcopal Church in Miami Gardens.
Rita Marley, Ziggy Marley, and others to the best of our knowledge are still Rastafarian. Rastafarians have different perspectives and perceptions towards baptism. Baptism (as a Rasta) is NOT conversion as you have it in Christianity. Calling Jesus is not a strange thing in Rastafari Twelve Tribes of Israel Branch, please listen to the song "Sufferer" by Joseph Hill of Culture. You will hear him mentioning JESUS CHRIST. Blessed love!!!

@reggaegistxtra_ng Baptism I'm sure is different as a rasta, but Bob was baptized as an orthodox Christian. No Orthodox priest would baptized someone if they were not truly convinced of their conversion. It is not just a ritual, it is a sacrament of the church. If a priest were to baptize someone with no intention of that person being a member of the church, the priest would be defrocked. The church is not a cheap show pony.
Rita may be "rasta" as an ethnic jew is still a jew when they convert. But as the archbishop confessed in this interview, she is a practicing orthodox Christian.
By denying Bob's conversion, you are denying the pinnacle of his life.

respectfully, i must say, this is a display of stubborn denial at best... the bishop who baptized Bob literally said Rastas have a different philosophy and Rastas were mad that the Ethiopian church would not adhere to their views, etc. so for Bob to be guided and baptized by this bishop proves his acceptance of the Christian view and separation from the Rasta view. *Haile was NOT the 2nd coming of Christ!* anyone who researched his background knows this couldn't be Jesus in the slightest! and even Haile himself was a member of the Ethiopian church smdh. The marley family is merely milking the Rasta branding and dishonoring Bob's final contributions to the world by ignoring his adherence to Christianity, Rastafari spread because of Bob's influence, therefore his Christian conversion should be apart of his legacy to spread the true gospel further!

Baptism into Christ IS ONLY a Christian thing. Recognizing Christ is the only God, it rejects other “second comings” as JESUS himself stated. Bob finally recognized Christ alone as his God and identity , which refutes any man like Selassie as “another” Christ. Bob was not foolish, he knew Selassie was not the second coming of Christ.

@@briank.7686 you are making stuff up. Did John the Baptist who was baptizing Jews before Christ baptize them in the name of Christ? Was Christ baptized in the name of Christ? The answer is no. So that trashed your arguement that baptism is a Christian thing. Baptism was around before Judaism and Christianity. Also When I was baptized by the Ethiopian Tewahedo Orthodox Christian Church I was baptized in the name of the father, the son, and the Holy Spirit. The Selassie or Trinity. So please stop making stuff up. Further you can not speak for Bob Marley there are recordings of him saying he was a Christian before becoming a Rasta and he was searching for Christ second coming which is the reason he became a Rasta and on the same interview with the Abuna Yesehaq that you speak of. The Abuna plainly states he never ever had a conversation about Haile Selassie I with Bob Marley. So how can you denounce something he never spoke to him about. All this is well documented so stop making up stuff and please remember Judaism is still an existing religion and they do not accept Christ as God even though Christ was born into Judaism and Christianity believes in the Trinity where it is Father Son and the Holy Spirit so once again you are wrong there are 3 Gods as one and Christ is not the Almighty Father he is the son. So you really don’t understand what you are talking about

Rastafarians have different perspectives and perceptions towards baptism. Baptism (as a Rasta) is NOT conversion as you have it in Christianity. Calling Jesus is not a strange thing in Rastafari Twelve Tribes of Israel Branch. The Twelve Tribes of Israel teach salvation through the Messiyah Jesus Christ, whom they refer to as either Yahshua or by the Amharic name Iyesus Kirisitos. It is perhaps the Rastafari mansion closest in beliefs to Christianity or Messianic Judaism. Haile Selassie, Emperor of Ethiopia, is seen as a divinely anointed king in the lineage of Kings David and Solomon (Selassie's house being called the Solomonic dynasty). While he is considered a representation of "Christ in His Kingly Character", he is not seen as an incarnation of the Messiyah, nor as Jah Himself, but rather as an emissary of Jah and representative of the everlasting Davidic covenant, which is to be fulfilled by Christ upon his return.
