Spartan Blades had a sweet new fixed blade to show us: bit.ly/2G1C9gd #BladeHQ #SHOTShow2019 #SpartanBlades #SHOTShow #KnifeShow #NewKnives #KnifeSale #ForgedInFire #TuLan #RoninTactics
I thought it was really cool at the end when he showed his pocket carry and talked about it a little....here you got this bad ass war fighter impressed by being able to switch a pocket clip to the other side....appreciate the little things folks 🙏🏼
Scowler he specifically mentioned it in regard to jungle survival. As far as fighting goes, some would agree and some wouldn’t. It provides for extra bite in a pull cut if one is cutting rope or maybe in skinning an animal though.
lets see that flip 1 more time... damn that's tacticool AF when he transitioned OMFG its like he channeled some sort of Ninja skills or something! NICE TRAS BRO sweet to see you whip out the pistol
The shape of that blade, although it's a little smaller, it resembles my Benchmade Delta Raider. It doesn't have a head adjusting pommel, it comes with a nice chunky all over kraton handle. The serious recurve on the Raider, means that the cutting edge is so much longer. It's a great and highly effective design feature.
Well just seeing the designer handle this blade got me convinced on buying one lmao. A lot of makers say spec ops this and that but this guy can knife fight lol. He knows what he's talking about and I can see that by how he talks about his design and handles it.
Presbiter maybe in the future you should do some research on the person you’re talking about, before you write something. If you knew his story you’d know he’s not from the Philippines.
3:47 laughed my fucking ass of at that switch to the other hand. Yeah he might’ve been a green beret but that was some hollywood bullshit right there😂😂
You don't win wars with knives. They are, in modern combat, a means of last resort. That said, this elite professional is teaching you how to survive when your other weapons fail or are lost. You also don't need to reload a knife and it kills silently. You always want to have a way to cut something, a way to start fire, and a firearm with you at all times. A knife is an invaluable tool.
I see a lot of people complaining about price. Quality things cost. This is not a Chinese eBay knife for 999. Spartan is also not a company the size of a Spyderco so they don't do quite the volume and can't give you the price is a bigger company can. What you're getting is a quality made USA product that would probably last you a lifetime. Have you priced at Snap-on tool lately? Oh wait a minute you guys are the one shopping at Harbor Freight
@@dylanbennett958 not arguing but did you miss that he said they're coming out with the leather cheap as well? He was given the reasons why they use a nylon sheath.
If your throwing a knife in a combat situation your on your tertiary weapon and your giving up. I know he was just generally saying that but come on throwing a knife is not a viable combat situation. That’s about a 1 in a mil scenario. Sell the badass blade not a video game scenario as something viable. That being said I wouldn’t want him throwing a knife at me.
That how you get noticed then you get an agent then you get kicked in the face by who[s ever playing The Batman or if you're really good you get to be the last one standing and Batman gets to enjoy your pointless knife twirling before really kicking the shit out of you for wasting his time with a cheer leading routine. Or Clint Eastwood being the punk kid that Clint awkwardly punches in face.
Never buy anything from "blade HQ" I absolutely love RONIN he is a great martial Arts I do his drops daily he fantastic! 2 times I've tried to buy replacement tomahawk jandle
Ok 1st, special operators say either special forces or green berets, not both at the same time when describing special forces. 2nd, YOU NEVER THROW YOUR FUCKIN COMBAT KNIFE!!! 3rd, he's too Hollywood in for me in his hand moves while demonstrating his blade. Now with all that being said he still could have been a special forces operator, but if he was then he's DEFINITELY making it out to be more than he ACTUALLY HAS DONE. I'm not hating but I don't believe all the hype behind him. Oh and one more thing, how can that blade be good for chopping, it has not the slightest bit of weight to the front of it like the kukri has.
A nylon sheath with a such a great knife? Cooommee onnnn. At least give us kydex or injection molded for that price, not a gas station like nylon sheath.
Peter V Japanese here. The word ronin may also be “a lone samurai does it all himself” kinda feeling. Ronin isn’t only mean unemployed samurai. Probably the most famous and respected samurai Musashi Miyamoto was a ronin himself too.
No their reasoning for a $350 blade sheath combination makes sense. He's done collaborations with Spartan Blades before and released a blade designed as more of a concealed carry blade that came in kydex. But for the purposes and experience he's had in the military it makes sense considering where they are being used why they would go with just a nylon at first.
@@d.a.harlan7015 dude stop, he just told us that sturdy plastic kydex wont hold up in the jungle but the plastic string nylon sheath will hold up just fine. Ridiculous, it's just a way to maximize profit. You probably also believed him when he said that knife is as good as an axe.
Jacob Summer He never said the kydex wouldn't hold up but the fact remains that it will be affected by temperature and moisture whereas nylon won't. Also in tactical situations where you need to be as quiet as possible kydex would prove too loud. In regard to saying it's as good as an axe. Yea I agree that's going too far. I think he was just trying to point out though that the design of the blade was to allow for light chopping which would mimic a small hatchet.
@L B smartass... have you ever carried a fixed blade in kydex on a flc or iotv. I will say kydex is noisy not only on the draw but blade rattle is really annoying.
Nice knife, but that sheath reminds me of the one you get with a Big 5 twenty dollar knife. Nobody wants a shitty floppy nylon sheath. Especially at that price.
I love RONIN and train in his style/videos all the time he's amazing.... This company blade hQ is crap ...totally dishonest...do not buy any thing from them....get it somewhere else!!!!-
Jden Ian I never understood lanyards on blades for practical use , it usually gets in your way , snags , and may injure you . For knives I would say it's more lenient but the larger you go the more likely your to get hurt . I have a lanyards on my machetes but it's for storage purposes .
Yeah, that’s one way to over sell a knife so hard I don’t want to buy it. And if you’ve got a pistol on your hip... why the hell are you engaging in a knife fight
I have zero use for a fighting knife but man that's calling my name baby... great job Jack!
Fighting knives are probably good skinning knives. That's kind of what you do in a knifefight...
*THIS IS SPARTA*
I thought it was really cool at the end when he showed his pocket carry and talked about it a little....here you got this bad ass war fighter impressed by being able to switch a pocket clip to the other side....appreciate the little things folks 🙏🏼
Tu is such an intense dude. Amazing man right there.
I really appreciate the time, thought, craftsmanship, and capabilities of this knife.
He’s a wealth of knowledge, what a gentleman.
I love when people are inspired by their own culture and put it into their work. Beautiful blades might I add.
Tu is an awesome dude, have the sakura blade as an EDC.
Apparently a small recurve turns a short blade into an axe. Good to know.
As far as fighting goes, kinda.
Scowler he specifically mentioned it in regard to jungle survival. As far as fighting goes, some would agree and some wouldn’t. It provides for extra bite in a pull cut if one is cutting rope or maybe in skinning an animal though.
😂
Anything with half an edge would turn into an axe with those arms and torso!
kind if like a small kukri
Great work Spartan Blades!

Amazing and beautiful style design looking knifes!!!😄👍💜💜💜

THIS IS SPARTA😉
Great Work Tu Lam! Looks good
At that price I’ll buy myself a new firearm instead 😂
You're used to bullshit knives...
No wonder, you buy cheap guns
@@jeffcooper4779 I would have to disagree. So many battle/survival proven knives at a fraction of the cost.

Awesome knife!🇺🇸👍
Really cool seeing a Vietnamese dude on screen.
he is of phillipine origin

Can you guys do a factory tour on Spartan Blades?
The Ranger with the Rollie sold me.

Tu is the MAN!!!
Ronin is the man.
This is a solid design but that price is hard to swallow.
Sick blade. Good dude to have as a neighbor ha
Great people!
Really really hope they do a partnership on the sheath with hedgehog leatherworks
i think yes
It’s a beautiful knife. I really like mine.
What do you like about it? I'm considering one..
Best vids
what watch and bracelet is he rocking watching is awesome
Yes
Cool knife! I know they said it has micarta scales, but what kind of steel is it using?
cpm S35vn. All Spartans
Awesome knife , plus it has the chopping power of a small hatchet.
That is one ripped Asian.
He served green beret force.
The basement is the best place.
Koris blade - origin Greek. This one is on a micro scale. Awesome knife
I watched him close the folder 5 times
2:17 perfectly balanced as it should be
More like new spartan blade
Just the one
I like it

Small axe... thats fuckin hilarious
The Spartan Blades Phrike and the Les George V-14 are my favorite fixed blades of all time.
I have never understood why you would have a huge choil on the blade and limit the cutting length when you got a choil built in to the handle?
way to choke up for more control making for more versatility
@@teddydavid2816 or you can have No choil and come very close to the edge anyway. Its just the same thing plus you got a better grip
I'll wait for knife center. These guys are the owners kids I think?
I feel some Kukri aspects.
Travis The Jiu-Jitsu Guy - yes it’s like everyone else trying to make the kukri better.
I want a dollar for every time I've seen folks try to tell me their blade is the best. Totally over it.

thank you for your service, but YIKES!! over $400 (and that's BHQ's price)?! not being a politician, how can i afford something like that?
BAMF!
throwing ur knife? turn ur knife in to a small axe? so much bs out of this guy. and 400$? no way.
Where can I get info on the folder
www.spartanbladesusa.com
www.ronintactics.com
Master sargeant Tu is a ex delta force operator.
At $350.00, that cordura sheath isn't going to fly!
Yeah, for that price you must get much higher quality sheath
I don’t see how that blade shape is functional when it is that small. A mini kukri doesn’t seem that great
TopLift - it’s not. just stick to a real kukri.
Wait what do you believe
Can you open carry that knife in California?
Yes you can. Except for LA because of the city ordinance
Loved that knife till he said nylon sheath
me too!
Cannot believe he would put $300 + knife in a fuckin nylon sheath. That’s almost disrespectful
@@dylanbennett958 not arguing but did you miss that he said they're coming out with the leather cheap as well? He was given the reasons why they use a nylon sheath.
Hate nylon sheaths.
Looks similar to Schrade SCHF36/37
People who perchase this grade of knife never care about Schrade.
2:02 Glock knives work just fine for that.... and probably cost ten times less what he wants for that one
