I grew up in Allegheny Forest at our family camp/cabin we went there most weekends until we got busy with school activities as teens. Now all I want to do is go back to my camping lifestyle and to pass the love for the mountains and wilderness on to my grandson.

Yes, all of the above! I think it has also helped reset my kids' brains, unplugging from absolutely everything... it can get them out of the cycle of wanting tv and devices so much. 🙌 I think it can also be a good refresh on our perspectives: tent camping can be humbling as it gives us an opportunity to reflect on just how blessed we really are (particularly at home), and how there are people all over the world who live in fairly similar situations to camping, but probably still not as comfy as we are while doing so.

Your passion for camping is very evident in this video! Keep it up. I can't wait to get back out into nature sometime soon.

I enjoy stepping away from technology and out of my normal comfort zones to experience something more wild. Not like a traditional campground but many of my friends have woodland properties and i like to go there. Cooking is always great, especially when I'm able to find new methods of cooking things. I thuroughly enjoyed the video, thank you.

Hey - yeah, it can be cool to go off the beaten path a bit more if you have access to forestland. Public land can be good for that too, but that often requires a bit of hiking/canoeing to get to more remote wilderness areas.
      Anyway, thanks for weighing in!

@@littlecampfires oh absolutely, i do go to Publix places i just don't like camping near RV campers and other people being too close to be. I do camping to get away from people so having them camp next door can be irritating.

It's a tradition for me. I always celebrate my relationship anniversary camping S2.

I like it because it allows us to appreciate our comforts. It’s also a way to practice emergency-preparedness.

You can learn knot-tying and not-dying. Good video! It reaffirms my own reasons. Being in nature like that is a good alternative to silent retreats.

Nice - glad you liked this video. It was something different I decided to try for the channel, so I’m happy to hear you enjoyed it!

For me I've had the passion for getting back out in nature camping/hiking during to the boy scouts when I was younger and loved the trips we went on.

I like the $29 tent from walmart personally. Thats cheap. Then you could get a 10 x 10 tarp on amazon for $30. A ground pad or blow up pad a cheap sleeping bag and a blanket and pillow is an excellent sleep system.

Yep - you can definitely get gear for cheap. I’ve spent many a night in cheap WalMart level tents as well.

Funny enough I don't want to eat much of even best foods while camping while at home I pretty much eat whatever is not nailed to the floor. Probably exactly because its peaceful and there's no TV. Just relax and sip coffee or tea with a small meal feels already very good

For me, I wouldn’t go camping ever. You work your ass off to be able to make your mortgage payment, add value to your home, get new stuff for your home, etc. Only to spend more money to get away from your mortgage payment. I’d rather not spend money to go sit around a fire when I can do that in the comfort of my own home. I’d rather sleep in a bed then on the ground or in a tent whatever. I’d rather not get eaten alive at the cost of my time and money. I’d rather not have to wait hours in traffic just to get home because everyone is coming home at the same time. Everything about camping doesn’t make sense to me, you wanna escape and have some peace and quiet ? Go outside in your backyard, or buy a house in the woods.

also provides some experience in a little bit of self reliance, bugging out. In case the potato in the white house keeps it up and starts a world war, putin nukes the cites and towns, you might have a chance bugging out in a tent.
