The Disturbing Brittanee Drexel Affair

  • Brittanee Drexel ran away on spring break to South Carolina, without telling her parents. She disappeared right off the streets, and the investigation would spin a hundred different ways with dozens of suspects. It would remain unsolved for over a decade, until it all came back to a vile monster hiding in plain sight.

    • @Ms2cents
      @Ms2cents Před rokem +40

      Well, if he was being a good responsible boyfriend, he wouldn’t have to convince her to lie to her parents to somewhere they are not suppose to be. Look at what happened. I’m not saying she deserved what happened to her but this guy will have to live the rest of his life feeling guilty that if he not persuaded her to go and lie, she would be alive right now. That’s a burden on his conscience even if it was unintentional on his part. Who could’ve known that this would happen to her or anyone. My female bestfriend from college who used to be a police officer told me to always be aware of your surroundings and pay attention to people around you especially when you’re out and about. She said to me, “As an officer, I look at you and the general population as the lamb and the criminals as the wolves. These wolves can prey on the lambs and even kill them at any given time and it’s our job to protect the innocents.” She further said chillingly, “Think about it this way, there are murderers, serial killers walking amongst us, interacting with us, they can even be our neighbors, friends, coworkers or whatever and you don’t know it because these people are good at covering their tracts and they act like everything is normal because they are incapable of feeling empathy. That is why they are able to kill without hesitation. They don’t exhibit fear or a lot of different emotions but what they can express is anger and feeling of adrenaline rush whenever they kill.” That’s why it’s always important to have the “talk” with your kids as asap on safety and suspicious behaviors to look for in adults and never to approach a stranger’s car unless it’s your family members or someone your parents fully trust to pick you up. There’s always a way you can discuss it with your kids to help them understand it without scaring them. I wished my parents had done this for me because there was 3 incidents I can remember where I almost got kidnapped and once where I almost got molested by a teen boy who was a neighbor. Luckily for me, I am smart enough to know even as a little girl when something is not right. I’ve always listened to my instincts. My parents never put restrictions on what stuff I watch on tv so I was exposed to criminal activities reported on the news and also watched a lot of tv shows with mature content. As a kid I liked watching a lot of cop shows or detective shows, stuff that deals with investigations, tv shows about wars, racism, slavery, even historical events and documentaries. I was a very curious child and pestered all my siblings and parents with questions 24/7 to the point that they stop answering after a while but you get the point. Don’t get me wrong, at least my parents taught me right from wrong even if it’s indirectly and also by storytelling and I’ve always understood what they are trying to teach me or message they are trying to convey. Each kid is different depending on their grasp of learning . Sorry this is along one. I do feel bad for the boyfriend for what he must’ve have gone through emotionally, her family not having answers for over a decade and the Taylors who were harassed because one of their own was wrongly accused. The killer has been free for a long time before he went to prison again for rape and battery of a minor. Who knows how many victims he had and of those victims, how many did he killed? It took him this long to admit to this murder and he only did so because evidence is piling up on him otherwise he wouldn’t have confessed. How many families did he destroyed with all the crimes he committed in secret just to feed his sadistic appetite? We might never know. This girl didn’t deserved to die a violent death. No one does but you can’t predict the future let alone how you’re going to die.

    In case anyone is wondering why Angel came back into the room after storming out… an undercover detective had approached her at a bar and she told the detective about how Moody had killed the girl. The details she used indicated she was there. After storming out of that room they presented her with that evidence and so she came back in to talk. Moody confessed because he didn’t want Angel to get any blame but she was very heavily involved with the cover up at the very least.

      White males do the lion's share of predation on young children, look it up. Fact is; the cases that are widely heavily publicized in our country ususally are cases where a person of color committed a crime, jeezI wonder what issue is causing that to happen ?? Hmmm......... so many times white men have certain connections and those then allow them to get away with crimes totally or with very little in the way of jail time/ fines, even when the crimes are reported to police. The Taylor Family has a history with the police and the system. It was unfortunate and move on from it. It is still quite possible that Taylor or the scum bag finally in prison are associates. Myrtle Beach, SC is surrounded by the criminal element. As a matter of fact all vacation spots in America are either surrounded by the criminal element or they are showing up to take advantage of people spending money on vacation or taking advantage of drunks, selling drugs, etc, etc, etc. No where in America is safe. Criminals have free reign over the streets. These criminals come from all races also. Certain groups are committing violent crimes at an alarming rate...that is a fact. Irresponsible breeding with lack of parents that care make this cycle repeat generation after generation. Kids are ignorant, foul mouthed, bored, and less intelligent today than in the past yet people keep having them. It's our land, air, and water along with diet being tainted with chemicals and all the poison in the products we use everyday. Think deodorant under your arms. Look at the chemicals in the back. Look up BPH, Philates, or what a bad diet for a child does to their development. Those that live in poverty need to understand this and avoid repeating the cycle. Taylor was the getaway driver in a crime and he has a missing arm. Easily identifiable so taking part in criminal activity makes him a fool. Suspect has one arm narrows down your suspect pool. The Taylor family are not perfect just like the rest of us but it is obvious that law enforcement knows of them...

But yes, you are right in that they should have never been given the platform where they were encouraged to voice their worst thoughts about a family who were ultimately found to be completely innocent. The justice system encourages criminals to lie for gain and then it believes the lies.

On your video about that frat dude, people were commenting how awesome it was the guy and his dad were getting harassed in Walmart and I pointed out the same thing. Yes now we know he is guilty but at the time they just assumed he was, they could have been harassing an innocent person with bad luck the entire time.
