@@yakbreeder Jamie McMurray was only about 0.1 off in 2014. I could definitely see it being broken depending on the direction NASCAR goes, but definitely not with the current cars.

@@BrettMKW I wasn't aware of that. I was going off qualifying speed for the spring race at Martinsville.
Like you said though, it may not be possible with the current gen car. Time will tell.

One of my buddies who doesn’t watch a whole lot of nascar was watching the race with me that day. We were both left speechless at what we saw. He’s been watching much more racing now because of it

People keep calling it the move of the decade as if there was a move better the previous decade.
It's the best move in the sports history and everyone who disagrees can suck it.

Legends never die. All of us will remember this move and how we felt and reacted when we saw it unfold. We’ll pass all of that along to our kids, who will pass it on to their kids.
Ross Chastain. You will live forever for not just this move, but all of the wild things you have done on the racetrack in only the first few years of your Cup Career. You will live forever.

You cant disqualify someone for something that isnt in the rulebook, unless youre the useless MLB. I know you werent saying this after Larson tried it at Darlington. You are literally pulling a Barry Bonds with this take

Wasn’t in the rule book at that time therefore no penalty or anything. But now it is in the rule book due to this. They couldn’t punish him for a rule that didn’t exist at the time.
