England football chants are the funniest thing for American viewers to watch. Football is becoming a more popular sport in America and nobody does football chants better than the English!

In Europe our clubs are over 100 years old. My grandads grandad supported my club, I would die for it. Fans meet up before games for fights to see which area is superior. America doesn't have it because your clubs are owned by companies and its all franchised. Our clubs represent our entire city

This was a compilation of clubs from many different european countries including Germany, France, Italy, Greece, Turkey, Serbia, Croatia, Poland, Bulgaria and definitely others i couldn't recognize on the fly. England and in general the whole of UK is very tame in comparison and don't feature here.
Sweden, Spain, Schweiz, Netherlands, Portugal (i think i saw Benfica), Denmark. I can be wrong about Portugal.

Scotland is the only place in the UK you’ll find this type of style, but yes the rest of the UK doesn’t do this

Back in the 80s the uk invented it. Got so bad every English team was banned from playing internationally for years. Tho maggie stomped it out and now is the rest of Europe copying the ogs
Don't go to England to watch football. Spain also is mostly not a good atmosphere. you should go to Germany, even in the 3rd german league the atmosphere is better than in england.

In the 80’s, the England team was banned from European football competitions for a few years due to the violence of the English fans!
english fans are probably the worst in europe now, the support is poor its lost its working class routes. its all about the money, the price of the season tickets for some clubs in wild. the prem lg is a tourist lg when it comes to fans. atmosphere in England is shit. its ruined with money.
I don't think English were ever on the level to fight with Serbs.

It's our lifestyle. Traditions and culture
For example. If u live in the balkans and drive 60 miles out of ur city, the folk from the town 60 miles from u we're literally killing ur family members just like 30 years ago. Now they are clashing on the sports venues. Bad blood or rivalry arent even the right terms. It goes way deeper. Hard to explain. Its more like a bloods and crips kinda thing
The way UK fans look on american fans is the same way as European fans look an UK fans... If you want to have a good atmosphere you have to go to Germany or eastern europ. Somethink completely different is Marocco but still extremly passionate!
Not the whole UK are shit. Scotland does the ultras style pretty well, although I agree that Germany and Eastern Europe are definitely more advanced in the Ultras way
You won't get a ticket for a Derby game. Its near impossible.
They r hardly any flares or fireworks in the UK.

Its become a lot more famiy orientated here in England, but there are definitely still pockets of this, you just dont see it in the stadiuns.....Europe is amazing though, they know how to put on a show, as do the South American clubs. The passion of Europeans and South Americans for football is on a whole other level.
If you come to England you should go to a Millwall game. Just make sure you wear the away team colours.

What is not said, but each match is a continuation of previous antagonisms, conflicts, and wars. For example, a Turkish-Greek match, whether at the national team level or between club teams, is actually a battle that is not fought with weapons. But it could be listed, English-French; Polish-German; etc.
Which is still incomprehensible to you, because it doesn't really exist in the United States when a city has two teams. The city rivals. They are actually wars, between 'one half and the other half' of the relevant city. (Liverpool - Everton, Roma - Lazio, Ac Milan - Internazionale, Torino - Juventus, and many more could be listed.) You also marveled at the riot police. I know of a city rally where the army also helped with law enforcement.
Hooligans were more prevalent in 70s 80s and 90s ..the Eastern European teams are probably carrying the flag now. ..but the organised fighting between fans and rioting have mostly disappeared

Nice to see some Ultras from "my" Club at 5:19 and 8:29 ;) But this video is missleading. Its not like the stadions literally get burned down (I wish ours would finally burn down so the city is finally forced to buil a new one ;) every match. Most of the time absolutely nothing happens. Oh and we have played (and will again this year in the CL) against a lot of this clubs that are shown this vid. And suprise suprise no dead people nor burned to the ground stadions. Sometimes it can escalate a little bit but its definitelly not normal that this happens. It also depends a lot on rivalties between different clubs. If you play your arch enemy its more likely that something happens (but you don´t play very often against this clubs) Oh and there exist tausends of football clubs in europe.

If you want to see this stay away from the premier league go to mainland European games.
The premier league has become more and more commercialised and is becoming closer and closer to American sports. The more money, the more they push working class away from the game. It was the working classes game but is been stripped away by greed.
If you do come to the UK and want to watch a game with true hatred, stay away from the ones your mentioned, they dont have real hatred (there fans will pop up here saying they do - they dont).
Millwall v West Ham, Villa vs Birmingham, Nott County vs Forest etc. The ones mentioned are just commerciased nonsense. If it doesnt have to be played on Sundays at 12pm it isnt a derby.
The only UK derby close to this would he Rangers v Celtic in Scotland but it still isnt close.
Im not an expert for European ones but as a guess, Greek local derbies, Turkish local derbys particularly around Istanbul, Croatian, Serbian, in Italy (Milan v Inter, Rome v Lazio or Napoli vs any of them) and then into Eastern Europe. I think Morocco has a growing Ultras scene.
Ill argue my, unfortunate, point about English support to death but I could well be wrong on some of the European comments.
