Thanks, this initiation to the community rules definitely lowered the hurdle for me to join such a room. Now I just have to make my peace with the fact that I am gonna be beaten up badly for the foreseeable future. :D
We’ve all been there, you’ll notice a lot of improvement within a few weeks of regular customs every night. Especially when you are playing BR again after a customs binge.
@@Penemue Luckily, my current position on the learning curve allows me to still see a lot of improvement with just BR, but I suspect this will continue to decline with time ;D
@@Darksaber96 imo learning how to fight neutral is easier than learning how to use F, V, position, peel, teamplay, strategize etc.
any clip of me and my teammates that i watch, i find at least 5 things to improve. it never stops in BR
also a lot of times you won't even notice bad decision making in BR when you haven't understood why you lost the neutral. you might make perfect decisions but misplay neutral, lose and conclude your decision making was bad, and things like this
i'd definitely recommend to learn the game in 3bans first before learning in 1ban, 0ban and BR. ofc it's fun to play BR and you shouldn't rot away in 3bans, but forcing yourself to play some 3bans can make a huge difference in how fast you improve overall
@@Penemue Definitely true! I was more eluding to the motivational factor of training - if there is a significant amount of progress using one method I am already comfortable with, I am less likely to change it. Having had a short break, I am again more tempted by doing 3bans. The break did initially give me a boost in that it did sort of reset bad habits I had before. But, it also raised my awareness to where I now feel too slow in decision making in neutral, making me think I need to establish more routine in these situations.
3bans are definitely good, but i feel like 0bans are the best way to get better because they are the most realistic. Cuz i mean in the end if you master 3bans it still won't change the fact that an ability or ultimate will always change the situation and the way you play and youll have to adjust accordingly which 3bans doesn't allow you to do/learn
You need both or else you’ll have takeda dagger or Tarka spamming onetricks that don’t do well at absolutely anything else :D

i wish 1bans were the more popular version of these custom games, 3bans don't do anything to improve in an actual battle royale scenario except learning true combos and if you play a character with an ability that is not a simple button press to go into your defense stance (tarka) you will also not get a single bit of actual combat practice with your ability
i don't know you, but it sounds to me like you underestimate the value of 3bans a little. it's not just about combos, it's also about tech chasing and avoiding to get caught in the neutral. doesn't mean you shouldn't also play 1bans or 0bans, but 3bans have their place for learning the hidden mechanics of each weapon, especially for new players.

Would you recommend this even if I’m new to the game?
I’d recommend this especially if you’re new to the game. It’s one of the fastest ways of learning how to fight with weapons.
But combos with range weapons are insane, If you avoid learning them someone with a godly combo can finish u off
1ban and 0bans exist for that reason though :)
