Just because we don’t see omega participate as a pilot doesn’t mean she wasn’t there. We focused on those involved with the Skywalker crew all through the OT. The rebel alliance was an entire battle force. Everyone in that force has a story, it’s just not the story that we were focusing on. Band of brothers doesn’t feature the pacific rim conflict yet those soldiers were still part of the war.

Echo really has been through far worse than many of his brothers. Part of Domino Squad, was there when 99 heroically died, was the sole survivor of Domino. Believed to be KIA but infact was criticality wounded ,turned into a cyborg and was forced into giving intelligence to the Separatists that ended up in the deaths of his brothers and the Jedi. All of that changed him just like the second battle of Geonosis did for Cutter. I would see Echo deciding when his fight was over, to go visit Cutter and his family and just farm.

Just because characters are introduced into canon before the timeline of the original trilogy doesn't necesarrily now mean they MUST show up in that trilogy. That trilogy was all about luke, han and leia, hell, even Yoda's line in ROTJ about luke being the last jedi (and he should have stayed that way) could even still be said to be true; Cal settled down on that isolated planet with Merin, Ezra was off playing tag with an apparently very useless thrawn, Ahsoka wasn't a jedi. Just because we don't see a character, doesn't mean they weren't there. And i actually like the idea of some of the characters being so traumatised they just turned their backs entirely.

That’s why he’s not mentioned. She didn’t mention Rex doesn’t mean that he’s dead. The only reason we know he isn’t at the time is cause he’s in later material. As for giving up and retiring, let’s not forget that Rex also gave up and retired. He just happened to come back after meeting the ghost crew. These new characters from any of the shows could easily have participated in any of the major battles from the movies just had been in a different location. Echo and the rest of the clones that he and Emerie rescued could have been in Pantorra by now, probably serving Senator Chuchi by helping their fellow clones at first, and then soon helping out the growing Rebel Alliance of Senator Mothma as either rebel operatives or intel/ reconnaissance. They could or could not be fighters of the Rebellion, but that's honestly cool too. Given that the clones have such an undying loyalty and sense of duty, but that they're also individuals and can make their own choices and are definitely exhausted from all the torment they experienced with the Clone Wars and the Empire, either they willingly joined the Rebellion to the end because of their service to Pantorra or just chilled out and retired somewhere. Senator Chuchi is a vocal ally to Senators Mothma and Organa, is secretly supporting fellow politicians from both the Old Republic and CIS such as Senator Sing of Raxxus, and is herself a member of the Clone War-era Delegation of Thousands alongside Senator Padme, so it's in Chuchi's character to carry on the fight and integrate her own cause of helping the clones with the larger Rebellion. Most of said clones could have eventually became regular troopers and pilots of the Rebel Alliance, would be cool if the Filoniverse of Bad Batch-Rebels integrate elements of EU (the EU version of the Rebels and New Republic is 100x cooler, the Rebels actually have secret ops, special forces, etc. that wear clone trooper-like armor with helmets, specialized equipment and weapons and have stronger training, I like to believe these guys are the clones rescued by Rex over the years and who defected to the Rebellion, and they also trained regular people to join their ranks). Echo and the rest could have joined them, only to die in battles against the Empire.

Considering their friendship when they were young, that's where it would have been natural for Omega to go. As for Echo, after what the Techno Union did to him, it wouldn't shock me if aged him even more prematurely than your standard clone, making it difficult for him to have done what Rex, Gregor and Wolffe did. Perhaps Emerie is looking after him wherever he was able to set up sanctuary for the clones they helped to defect.

If there will be series about clones I pray for seeing there Delta Squad and maybe Scorch made it alive on Weyland, because Clone Commando armor (katarn-class armor) has some kind of shields, so he could be alive. Even if he really get shot, we should remember that in the Republic Commando commandos had implants that accelerate wound healing when approached to bacta dispenser. It would be nice if Boss, Fixer and Sev (especially him) had dragged Scorch to the bright side

keep in mind, in LOTR, while the Fellowship takes the One Ring south to Mordor, a great battle is going on in the north. In Star Trek, there are other Federation starships having adventures of their own. Spider-man may not be able to rush off to help the Avengers in a major battle. We don't always get to see everyone come together. The Bad Batch & Omega may have had a fight of their own and been too busy with a mission to get involved in Hoth or even Endor (though we all know Rex made it to Endor!)

Not everyone can participate in every historic moment of galactic history. They can have their own adventures and fight their own battles. We wouldnt have any heros if everyone is a hero. I had the same problems with the avengers movies, where everyone was a hero, who's the one you should actually care about or are there any stakes at all.

I feel like this should be fairly easy to explain because the galaxy is so big and the rebels fought the empire on multiple fronts so its easy to explain we didn't see these characters in the OT because they were in a different sector with the rebels while the movies followed the skywalker squad

i was in the third Marine Division. i did not interact with every one in the third Marine Division, didn't even interact with every Marine in my company much less the entire expeditionary force. I'm pretty sure there was many rebel units in a galactic force and it would be very reasonable to assume all combatants didn't know every other one and that all combatants took part in every operation in the galactic civil war.

A new series about the clones is what I wanted for the bad batch. So many opportunities. I will say I’m okay with them leaving characters out the big events. It’s a big galaxy, but their story needs to be treated with respect which can be hit or miss with Disney

Its a big galaxy. Thats kind of the nice thing about having a galaxy to work with. Rebel cells were everywhere. We only get to see some in the shows weve been given so far. So they can absolutely make others fighting on different homeworlds. Im thinking that Omega was part of some smaller units fighting in various sectors. Or even helping Echo and Rex wrangle up clones to bring to Pantora to aid Chuchi in creating a retirement plan for them in the senate. We know in rebels that Rex, Gregor and Wolffe all were retired. The emps even recognized this when they were being investigated. So it seems like the retirement bill that Chuchi wanted to pass ended up passing

Sorry, Echo is effectively dead. He'll meet his demise in the Clone Rebellion. Same with Emerie. We also still need to know how Wolf joins Rex. One thing that puzzles me is that the Emperor let go of Project Necromancy so easily. (He probably didn't.) And why Tarkin wasn't more interested in Project Necromancy. (He probably was, but probably the Emperor told him that it was none of his concern).

  • @mattwhelan13

people seem to forget that Star Wars is set in an entire galaxy. The rebel cell we see in Rebels is just that, a cell... Rex is literally living off the grid in the middle of nowhere IN THAT SERIES. There is plenty of space for characters like Omega to be actively participating in the rebellion. A character like Cal needs to go to Tanalorr because he is so powerful, but any non-Jedi can just be chilling in the background, or even actively participate just off screen. I also think there is hope that Echo has gone off with Cody by the time we see Rex in Rebels and they are both still alive somewhere.

I’d prefer if characters don’t constantly interact or meet up sometimes it’s best to leave space in between them (literally). The galaxy’s wide and the amount of planets and ppl there are is a lot, it make sense we don’t see omega in rebels although she would’ve been great in it but she could’ve been apart of another rebel cell considering there are numerous cells hidden away.

Great show! Excellent ending! Thought it might end like the Empire Strikes Back, where the kids escape. Yet, they still suffer a huge personal defeat at the same time. The Empire while it is still in its infancy, seems less menacing than it should be, at some point its true dominance and show the Rebellion losing more than winning. I thought we were losing 2 of the 4 remaining Clone Force 99. You're overthinking characters missing from stories. We are watching a rebellion inside of a huge universe. We are getting 2 to 5 years of story at a time throughout multiple generations and places. All of these tiny stories will eventually weave together some could be overlapping. Cody is on the run, AWOL from the Empire, perhaps at this point, he may not have made any contacts that could have led him back to Rex to know there is a mission. I think Omega is leaving in the epilogue just as Ezra and Thrawn disappear and she will somehow end up working with the Ghost. Maybe, we'll get some of that history in Ashoka. Or they could do another animated series with Omega joining Ghost Crew, as part of a build-upto the battle of Endor.

Rex can’t see Vader, because during Rebels, the Empire knows that Rex is still alive, they just think he is retired. That is, until he is captured in Rebels and then he becomes wanted by the Empire. The only way Rex could see Vader without it mucking up the canon timeline would be for them to meet up sometime after Rebels and before Return of The Jedi. Him meeting Vader at the end of the bad batch would not have worked.

If Darth Vader appeared, there would be no way that the Bad Batch succeed. Even in the comics, when Vader gets beat up, he still ultimately wins. There’s only two or three characters he loses to, Obi Wan, Luke, and Palatine. He’s not Vader if the loses to a group of Clones.
