There are different techniques to be used for different varieties but this is how we graft a dwarf Japanese Maple. This is just the first of many grafting videos that we plan on releasing, so be on the lookout for future grafting videos discussing these topics in more detail. Hi Michael,
It would be great to see how you do summer grafting if you do. Any thought on when you do this in relationship to bud break. I know some like their root stock to be a little ahead (greenhouse) compared to the scion. There are lots of videos on grafting but not enough about how to make them survive.
    Best,
    Mats H

What tree do you graft it onto
    ??

The skin of the rootstock didn't not overlap the scion as it was folded over to the right as you were finalizing the wrapping of the rubber band.

All these videos assume you have rootstock kicking around out back. Why just tell half the story!
